Born in '67, actual 80s kid here - WLIR, Year Zero MTV, the works - popping in to say that this is lovely stuff. "85 Again" knocks it right out of the park. Bravo, Robert.
When I listen to this, I feel like a cool undercover cop who moonlights as a private investigator, who is in disguise as a night club owner, who is infiltrating a ring of coke dealers, who distribute their drugs through a network of exotic dancers...in 1987.

This album is completely balanced, the musics have an perfect harmony, its not like most of synthwave that I listen here in youtube, after this experience I can see how a lot of musicians exagerate in some 80's effects and create something that is like "more from the same", this album keeps the 80's synthwave vibe with an unique aspect (or combination of sounds) that I can't explain it very well but I can sure appreciate it!
understood, just an amazing quality album from a master of the genre, i know what you mean about same sounding synthwave, theres a lot of that lurking around, just keep looking for the good stuff mate, its there, let me offer this for you to listen, i love it as much as this album ruclips.net/video/xzJmFt4iKK8/видео.html ENJOY!
Robert Parker is THE DUDE...this is every bit as good as Mitch Murder, Trevor Something, etc..and probably better.. crystalline and smooth!! Great beach music today as i'm headed from home here in Orlando Florida to St. Petersburg....tuneage!
it's a 1986 summer i'm driving on the west coast got my dark blue tinted glasses on ''cobra style '' the girls with there roller blades chewing gum and the guys flexing on the beach . people retreat from the beach and await the neon night
I must had inadvertently listened to this 100 times while I program. I like that 85 again song. but I listen to the whole thing all the time. great music!
I was fortunate enough to be born in the 80s and being a grown child late 80s and teen early 90s was wonderful awesome memories everything was cool , style, movies , songs , everyone was happy and enjoying life everything was simple and easy , I already feels I’m trapped in those 2 decades 80s&90s no mobile phones no techs all over the place like today 😤 we use to enjoy schools and weekends use to play soccer ⚽️ & basketball 🏀 round the neighbourhood, walking to blockbuster to rent 🎥, or Friday night with friends playing NES&SNES , we were on top of the moon with these little things, very nostalgic 🥲🥲
Nostalgia, from the Greek nostos - return home and algos - pain. My home was 1982-1989. It doesn't exist anymore. Yet these sounds make me want to go home somehow, to the setting sun on a Tuesday on my way to the Stop'n'Go with friends on bikes, to pick up soda and snacks while a Chevy rolls by playing Men Without Hats on the radio. And there was no news outside of town news. The universe was the size of a street and 2 intersections; 1 stop light; a never crowded theater showing Top Gun. The sounds bring back everything else they were associated with and make me happy and sad at the same time. I have made a new home now, but it will never have the color and wonder of the synthetic-techno revolution of then.
I love the first track. So old. So new. So great. I think there's some "Womack and Womack - Teardrops" in there too, which makes it even more awesome. :-D
Reminds me of hanging out with friends in California, watching cool Japanese films and life when the Berlin Wall was about to fall. Good, in many ways optimistic times, for all the turmoil.
Love Theme (feat. Maethelvin) This entire beat is like a journey. Nothing tops this! i agree with Flavio Diniz from 6:44 until 7:17 is the hottest retro beat I've ever heard. Or...the chillest. :-)
In God's heaven, the great street of the city is made of gold, as pure as transparent glass and there are many mansions, a place is prepared for you and me...
Sabbathman1979 That is not the fullness of the Truth. Through continual repentance, through the Atonement. But Jesus is the only way, Yes. He did his part, so why shouldn't WE be required to do ours ?

Born in the 80's, grew up in 90's. Why my parents waited so long? Best retro album ever.
i was born in 1979 My parents not waited ;)
Urodziłem się w 1979, moi rodzice nie czekali ;)
Miałem kiedyś kasety Laser Dance i TransX
Your parents simply wanted to enjoy the 80s as much as possible.
I may have missed growing up in the 80’s by a few decades, but the music remains superb.
It reminds me of the soundtrack of those Japanese animes in the late 80's. Pure nostalgia.
This album is like pouring liquid gold into the ear, minus all the burns
80's are back!
80's contain gold music. It's far from a black hole.

+Max Yan this one is great but I still prefer the darker more sinister sound of Daniel Deluxe's Corrupter album.....
