Hi Kath, if you are looking for people who like , enjoy and let's put it simply love your videos, you can count me in ! Your enthousiasm is contagious !!! Best wishes.Serge from France.
Could you create a series of videos showcasing different locations in England and how to pronounce their names? I've noticed you typically make indoor videos.
Thanks again for your videos Katharine. I am the genuine introvert. When I was young I was worried about that. However now I am proud of my personality and I wouldn’t change it. I love mountain, I go often there with different kind of people. However I like also going alone, like last time. In these cases I am all time speaking in English for myself. I describe that I see, or I explain stories, even I make arithmetical calculations. I carry a little notebook to write down the words I need to complete my talks. When I arrive home, I look up them in the dictionary. Some introvert strategies.
Hi, Katharine, I love videos that present us the spoken version of English whether by extroverts or introverts. Language is primarily speech. Looking forward to seeing you on coming Friday.
Hi Kat, my lovely, my Fridays' sunshine, my rose of England 🌹😊 Well Kat, I tick all the boxes basically ;-) You did a wonderful job. You spoke remarkably well of all the facets of introversion and I suppose that only an introvert (or an ambivert, as you said you were) can speak so well of introversion. I loved the setting and I love the rustic, warm and cosy feel of your restored barn and, as always, of course, the words and your warm personality, which is both gentle and kind but also bright, truculent, lively and sparkling. Thank you Kat, I hope you have a lovely weekend! Kisses, bisous, love 🥰😘🌹❤❤🎹🕊☮🍁🍂🌱
I am not sure if I am an introvert. I only started learning English at the age of 34 without any schooling. My grammar is much worse than anyone with a school education. I find it interesting that people with excellent grammar, according to some comments, continue to watch learning videos instead of films... probably they have low self-confidence. I have more languages and they are from school and I have never thought about improving them. I am sure that it is not possible to improve languages significantly because my English causes late start at my age was A0+ level for 18 years... Real language is no joke, but my experience is very rare. I understood English and didn't learn it until I was 30+...
It seems that you know a lot about introverts. I’m one of them and really enjoy deep conversations; I get bored with small talk. It’s true that we need some time to think. You put your finger on it. Awesome! 👍
I love the cosy backdrop of this video , Kat . I m baffled by the quick change in the weather this week into Autumn, with really heavy downpours , and maybe the suddenness is even baffling seasoned climate-change scientists as well ! So I m having tea in a thick mug , staying indoors most of the weekend , and the tea flavour is " Autumn storm " says the tea bag cardboard case .
Hi Katharine!!! As always - I greatly enjoyed watching your fantastic video!!!👏👏👏 Keep up the great work!!! Have a lovely weekend!!! Take care!!!🤝🏴🇩🇪🙋♀️
Kat, you may be very busy with your wedding to organise, source of joy and stress, but even with that, you find the time to work on youtube videos for us. So thank you. Take care. Greetings from France.
Hi Katherine, I'm mostly an introvert just like you, when I'm at home, I spend my time studying about something. English is my favourite language. I keep studying English from you Katherine, and I'm also seeing English films or dramas and learning English how the native speakers speak. Your every beautiful word is giving me a good English knowledge Katherine
Thanks for an excellent and cheerful video, dear Katharine! It is very timely for me, because autumn is a season for introverts, which sullen like the last days of September.
Im quite old school just like you😁 I used to be an introverted person myself when i was younger It’s not strange your motto is “Whatever you do do it well”Your videos are impressive & inspiring thank you Kathy for these nice tips Have a great weekend ❤

I wanted something like this because I am an introvert! You're spot on, Katharine, in the statement you made - I basically don't respond quickly and that has been a complaint these days from my parents, I think too much to answer a simple question! 😅 I hope these fillers can help me though! Great to see you, Katharine! ❤ My exams are over now, so I am going to watch some of the videos of yours I missed a few weeks ago. Take care, and see you next Friday! ❤❤❤❤
Enjoyable and energetic video as always. 😊 As an introvert, or ambivert on the introvert spectrum, I loved this. ❤Over the years, learned not to hate small talk, but see it more like a means to an end. “I was never less alone than when by myself” (Edward Gibbon)
You must be reading my mind. My second novel involves a British nurse who is an introvert. Everything you said about the personality traits is true. I have been doing a lot of research in this area. So your video is consistent with my research. Oh, about my first novel, the first edition was flawed but my second edition will come out in less than two months. The second edition will have the corrected grammar, spelling, prepositions, adjectives, adverbs, and interjections. A hint for your viewers who love to write. They should download Grammarly. It really helps. Anyway, it was a good video.
Hi sweet Katherine, here you're!! Hello, Katharine.😊 This episode was intriguing. In my case, I tend to be more talkative and outgoing when I'm speaking in English, compared to when I'm speaking in my mother tongue(Japanese). I can be more straight in expressing myself in English than in Japanese. I enjoy small talk and light conversation in English, but not so much in Japanese. I would rather deeper conversation through one-to-one interaction in Japanese. I'm an introvert Katharine and you're describing me in each of these videos. I wish I could change, but it's so hard. I'm even an introvert when I'm surrounded by my own daughters...which is so weird. However, I must tell you that in my particular case, maybe other introverts feel the same way, I don't agree with your describing an introvert as 'somebody who enjoys spending time alone.' That's not who I am, I just find it so hard to have a word with anybody else...
An introvert is someone who enjoys spending time alone because it enables them to recharge energy. Perhaps you aren't an introvert after all and are just going through a difficult patch 🌹

I think I'm infatuated with this channel ( and perhaps its creator ! ) It's such fun and interesting content, delightfully presented! Introverts take time to think before speaking. This is a virtue, becoming rarer all the time in this social media-besotted culture. Now, let's talk about the correct pronunciation of the Latin phrase, "et cetera", which means "and so forth". The first word, "et" is pronounced as in the English word "set". It is not pronounced "ex" or "ek". The second Latin word, "cetera" is also pronounced as in the English word "set", the emphasis being on the first syllable, with "er", "ah" appended. This is just a pet peeve of mine, as an introvert. I often use quotes to express my own thoughts, even if they are nonsense ( like the Queen in Alice in Wonderland ) or ironic. Like these: 1. "We may be lost, but we're making good time!" 2. "If they're not late, they're not coming." ( this one being an "inside joke" in our family ) But I am also frequently reminded of great quotes that are apropos to a discussion, or really funny ones, like those of Yogi Berra: "You should always attend your friends funerals, otherwise they won't attend yours". Frequently useful: "Perfection of means and confusion of ends characterize our age." "Life is like riding a bicycle; if you want to keep your balance, you have to keep moving." "God did not create evil. Evil is the absence of God." "God does not play dice with the universe." The author of those last four quotes? Albert Einstein Cheers!
Of course, I have great admiration for the great Albert, who showed us that, contrary to Newton's conception, time and dimensions are not absolute, but relative (special relativity). Furthermore, gravity is not the result of a force described by Newton (which would be like a magical force at a distance, which bothered Einstein a lot, but also bothered Newton himself), but the result of a deformation, a curvature of space-time induced by the presence of matter/energy and equivalent to an acceleration (general relativity). However, I have never agreed with his statement that “God does not play dice”. No doubt he's overly influenced by Spinoza and his determinism. This is quite surprising to me because I do not have the same reading as him on that point. Mind you, I'm also seduced by Spinoza's great philosophy, one of my fave philosopher by the way, and in particular by his idea that God and Nature, in a kind of pantheism immanent to the world, merge and with his idea of a naturating nature and a natured nature. However, to come back to the quote, I think that while there are the fundamental laws of physics, universal and immutable, there is also an element of chance/randomness which is at work in the world. I even believe, relatively to life for example and as a Darwinist, that there is a kind of organizational power to randomness, which is, for example, at the root of the evolution of species (genetic mutations at random in the very first place and permanent everywhere in nature and bringing new characters that afterward will succeed or not according to the environmental conditions encountered). There are fundamentally some determinism and some randomness: hasard and necessity.
