This has to be the best looking thumbnail I've ever seen on this video. I really like how each of the bosses are distinct from each other and how they stand out with their varying colors. First Boss in the dark ice mines: slightly blue. Dragon Boss: orangish red. T-Rex Boss: green. Andross: purple. Best thumbnail in my opinion.
It never hit me till now how BRUTAL some of the deaths feel. Galdon pretty much chokes to death, King Red Eye gets stabbed through the brain, Drakor falls on freaking lava and Scales is seemingly forced to sacrifice himself.
13:25 Fun Fact: In the original Dinosaur Planet, Drakor was meant to be the true mastermind of General Scale’s powers, and the leader of some “Kamerian Dragons.”

If ever I wanted a game from the GameCube remastered besides Eternal Darkness Sanity’s Requiem, it’s THIS game. The graphics are gorgeous, the gameplays fun, and it shook up the StarFox formula a little.
The visuals still hold up pretty well and the art style and soundtrack are incredible. Rare during its prime was something else! Too bad this game had to be rushed because of Microsoft acquisition, which prevented it from having a better combat system and an actual boss fight with General Scales

The idea for King Red-Eye's fight is particularly nerve-racking for me. Just the idea of being locked in a cramped corridor with a ginormous T-rex with only some nooks to hide in would've freaked me out when I was younger.
Ugh, that test of strength. Only way I succeeded at the tie was because I had some knock off third party controller to round out my four. But it did happen to have a turbo button. Timing of the button mashing was overtuned.

So i had this game when I was six, now imagine a six year old seeing the RedEye King custcene and boss fight. Needless to say, this was the stuff of nightmares for me in terms of boss fights. The Test of Fear and Lightfoot strength challenge being a close second.
Star fox adventures is such a fun game and the graphics hold up really well. Although that test of strength in the light foot village still gives me nightmares, saw that dam light foot say “pathetic” I don’t know how many times!
I'm honestly surprised this hasn't been ported/remastered to a modern Nintendo console yet, definitely an underrated Zelda-like classic! It's also one of the most visually impressive gamecube games too, and has aged extraordinarily well!
Lol there was absolutely no reason for them to cut out the Scales fight. That cutscene could have simply played after defeating him why the tease by letting you walk to him and the heart indicator appear over his head?

Gah.... i remember being stuck on the musclefoot minigame for a while.... the amount of BUTTON MASH ya need is semi nuts but then the final boss is like you want a chance at beating me? Better have all the skills from 64 in your arsenal then (which i do not so he made me effectively rage quit the game)
As much as I would love a new Star Fox game, it doesn't seem to be likely for a _long_ time. So Nintendo has issued takedowns for ROM downloads of their games over the years, but there's two series of their's they don't seem to target: F-Zero and Star Fox. If they don't care about these IPs, then why would they bother making a new game for them? (Note: F-Zero 99 kinda counts, but it's really just the original game with online). Don't mean to sound like a shill, but if you guys want a great spiritual successor though, I recommend checking out Ex-Zodiac!

I loved that at the Andross fight, we all immediately knew how to use the Starfox Arwing.
The Arwing was used to transition between the separated pieces of the Dinosaur Planet, Sauria.

Fun fact, the dinosaur language was completely translated at the end of the manual, so that you could learn it.
I believe after having a legacy file the game actually translated it for you. I remember them speaking English from the start one run.

This game was so close to being a masterpiece. All the pieces were there, it just needed some more time to develop.
