I'm not Filipino at all, but my mom's step dad (my step grandfather) is Filipino and being around his family, (of whom I've been close to my whole life) is really just quite an experience lmao. I'm glad to say that a part of my family is Filipino because I really love the different cultural aspects and the food especially AND that I can understand all of these jokes.

My brother is also like this back when he was around 12-14 years old. There were times where he'd ask me "You're sweaty, why do you not smell?" He learned to scrub himself clean, fix his hair, not use his shampoo on his head to his body when he had a crush on someone lol

as a Filipino kid growing up with a very strict Lolo(grandad) was soooo hard I felt like we are in a military concentration camp specially during meal time but it is something else if your own Mom grew up first with a Dad like him! In her eyes nothing I do that is good she has to pick everything from table manners, the way we talk, laugh & even how a girl should sit down too!

LMAOO this reminds me too much of my older brother! We’re mixed like Jo (White Dad/Filipina Mom) and at some point, my older brother stopped with personal hygiene. His breath stank so bad my mom would drag him into the bathroom to make him rise his mouth. And his armpits reeked. We used to call them “taco pits” cause they stank like Taco Bell tacos. LOL I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who had to deal with this 😂
