That Eau Givree has become my go to summer scent. I love it
Loving this video Justin, I love the house of Hermes, they are one of a few designer houses that deliver niche quality and complex fragrances but unlike other designers who have niche quality like Louis Vuitton and Tom Ford, Hermes fragrances are not over priced, they offer great value for Money.
Thanks for sharing your preferences on this fragrance line. You are such a smooth communicator. Hope you can land somewhere big and make millions with that mellifluous, calming voice. God bless 💯
Dr. Copeland!! YOU Sir are on point with this eclectic collection! Absolutely a great video!!! SALUTE!!!!
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it.
Finally the video I was waiting for 😍
Guess I'm late to the party. Just picked this in up at the duty-free shop. This is phenomenal! Fresh and classy. Smells like a clean man! I keep getting whiffs of it all the time. Addictive!
Answering your first question. Yes, designers absolutely have some "Niche" options. Off the top of my head is Gucci Guilty Absolute, Pasha Noir Absolu, Moschino Toy Boy, almost all Tom Fords, and many more!
I tried most of this Hermès list, and my top 3 are:
1) Terre D'Hermes Parfum
2) Terre D'Hermes Eau Givree (Very special stuff)
3) H24 EDT
The original TdH EdT was my signature fragrance for years, until a colleague got it and laced up so heavily on a daily basis that it would knock you out. So, I ended up giving the rest of my remaining bottle away. In sadness. Just smelled the parfum on a tester in an airport two days ago, and man, I have got to get this back into my collection. So elegant.
I picked up my first Terre d'hermes on the way back from my honeymoon in Rhodes in July this year. Eau Givree, Personally I love it, but I do get when people can be put off by the grapefruit. Looking forward to the future buying some more from this house. Great content as always Justin!
My favorite is Tere D’Hermes Parfum. Such a gem, and that flint note is a perfect addition to the fragrance as a whole.
I love the original TDH EDT!
Thank you Justin. You’ve helped this bald fun loving guy a lot and am a Hermes fan
Great list man, H24 EDT is so underrated. Metallic meets edible! So fresh and uplifting, with a sweet green warmth to back it up. Was my signature scent last summer, will definitely revisit it soon!
Thanks for watching! Definitely underrated.
Justin, Hermes Voyage reminds me of Nio. Have both and they're very similar, even notes listed. Nio edges out though.
Justin I was on the fence about Hermes Parfum but you definitely convinced me to check it out! Thank you!
Enjoy!
Tere D’Hermes Perfum has been my favorite for many years now and always been very strong and long lasting with only 2 sprays. My last bottle is not as doesn't perform the same way at all. I began thinking it's been reformulated. The bottle is genuine for sure as I bought it from Hermes store. Recently got Grand Soir by MFK and OMG this thing lasts. for days on clothes and i get solid 10 hours on the skin. I wish Tere D’Hermes performed this way.
Very true and transparent REVIEW 🥇
I would love to see you explore the Hermessence range.
Great selections, Justin. TDH Parfum, THD Eau Givree, and H24 EDP are my top 3, I debate the order all the time. I think H24 EDP is a hidden gem and will be known as a masterpiece in the future.
And yes designer houses can release niche perfumes and vice versa. It’s all a spectrum, really. Niche, designer, indie, artisanal. I’d say it’s more about the actual fragrance release and should be looked at on a case by case basis.
A few months ago I tested Terre D'hermes EDT and Eau Givree and the EDT was ok but Eau Givree was just amazing off my skin. I'm thinking about buying a full bottle and wearing the heck out of it during the summer 🔥👌🏽
Great vid JC, keep it up! 👏🏽
Thanks for sharing!!
I have four Hermes, and on the spot, my favorite is probably the Eau Givree, but I really want to try the TDH Parfum.
H24 edp smells like Vdara hotel lobby that’s in las Vegas. It has a tea like smell to my nose. Awesome, love this👍🏾
I just recently began wearing Terre D'Hermes and when I initially smelled it I was pretty meh about it. I thought it smelled okay and it seemed pretty original so there was that. The ladies, however, absolutely love it and I have already received multiple compliments. So while it's not my favorite profile there is certainly a use case for it staying in my rotation.
My late father introduced Hermes to me. It will forever have a special place in my heart. I agree, Hermes is one of the best designer brands. It is one of those brands that I get to say with confidence, "Oh, they released a new fragrance? I gotta try it".
Other brands, I gotta wait for online reviews before sampling.
That’s so special!
This man has the timing of a god... I have a formal party (suit & tie) and I was wondering whether I should go with Terre d'Hermès EDP or Eau Intense Vetiver (which I really love).
I have them both and love them both! Lol
Would love to see you feature the eau de cologne series one day! I remember liking the Rhubarb and Pink Grapefruit ones, but have yet to try the re-released ones like Neroli Dore and Mandarine Ambree.
I love that Voyage edp is your no.2. Love that fragrance: cardamom and lemon work so well!
I’ll need to try them!
Hi J.C. 👋 Interesting Point About Hermes And Niche Quality Vibe From This House ❣️ I Always Felt Same Way About For Example TOM Ford. At the moment I enjoy Hermes Terre D'Hermes EDT & Parfum Which I Prefer 😊 But my personal #1 at the moment is definitely Eau Givree 😎
I used to wear Hermes Rocobar as my signature scent for many years. Then, for a good long while, it was Terre d'Hermes. Now l love Eau Givree, my signature summer fragrance. Hermes etches out its own category between designer and niche.
I only have the TDH edt and voyage Parfum both are great. It took me a while to get around them. The profile was not something I was originally attracted to. I have the TDH pure Parfum on my list. People are missing out on this line. It is not an attractive line based on bottles, profile, performance etc. I did a blind buy on TDH edt and took a chance as I couldn’t sample it locally. It just flipped me over my head, it is so well crafted. This scent just levitates over your skin. Citrusy, soapy vetiver, resinous a tinch of sweetness. It’s a transparent scent like a second skin. I get 6-8 hours from it but even if I got 4 hours I would still buy it. It’s a beautiful scent it is hard to explain this one you have to experience it. This one is staying in my collection forever.
Terre D’Hermes EDT was one of the first high quality fragrance i ever bought. It was a blind buy but oh man i love it so since i got it. I almost emptied it. I love it and many complimented it saying it fits me very well.
Very qualitative video , Justin ! My top favorites from the House is TdH parfum and Eau Givree Parfum. Not a fan of voyage but certainly intrested to get a bottle of Bel Ami OG. I also smelled the new batches of TDH eau de toilette , and i think that it is severely watered down which is a huge let down.
Amazing house and amazing quality throughout. TDH Parfum is starting to take over as my favorite over the edt. Been loving Voyage as well, I prefer the Parfum for the same reasons but the edt is a little more “easier” to wear, a little more citrus up front and overall lighter and fresher, a true concentration flanker. The newer Un Jardin Cythere is another one I’ve been really enjoying lately
Terre d'hermes Parfum, it's really amazing, sophisticated and elegant fragrance 🔥
Eau intense vetiver is top 5 imo. It's bright, earthy, mature, and intoxicating!
Smells like mosquito repellent
One of my favorite fragrances very masculine and mature
All I smell is an overdose of nose piercing amberwoods. Not a good one
Too pungent! Non stop assault to the nose.
How many sprays are yours rocking? You do not need more than two 😂😂😂
H24 Herbes smells like cut grass and its very strong. If you like that green grass smell you might enjoy it. It stayed on my skin for hours and I hated the opening, until it dried down
Great video and I enjoyed it and I'm a fan of this brand and have a blessed day
Great insight, Hermes is my probably my favorite designer house. My ranking is: 5. Equipage Geranium; 4. Un Jardin Sur Le Nil; 3. H24 Herbes Vives; 2. Un Jardin En Mediterranee; 1. TdH EDT. Cheers!
Mediterranee is an amazing scent, so light and refreshing but still has some depth to it for being a rather linear profile. Un Jardin Cythere is another nice one if you haven’t tried yet.
@@MrSmarts34 I've tried A Cythere and Sur Le Toit and also Voyage Parfum. Good scents, but none gave me that feeling that I need to get a bottle.
I was waiting for this. Gotta get my nose on voyage edp, love the vid!
Love Hermes, Voyage parfum has been on my wishlist forever, great one💯
I find Eau Givree addicting. The opening is fantastic.
Hey Justin, would you and your wife ever consider doing a video on fragrances that compliment each other? For example you and your wife have on fragrances that compliment each other for date night, family gathering, warm weather vacations, cool weather vacations etc? It's nice when the scents come together and is another component of telling the world "She's with me".
Really cool concept
Great idea
L' Eau D' Issey....for both!!
I love eau intense vetiver it's very masculine and mature!
I need to try the intense. Love everything I’ve tried by Hermes
I love L'Ombre Des Merveilles. It definitely is different. It's a less is more fragrance. If you are looking for a higher end niche version just try Precious Liquids Sangria oak.
You can still get the edt of Voyage in retail.
My favorite of the house is Terre d'hermes EDT. It's rough edges gives it character. The parfum is a de-clawed cat. Don't de-claw your cats people. 😅
Recently picked up L’Ombre and loving it. So clean and uplifting but still slightly dark and mysterious at the same time. It has quickly climbed the ranks of my Hermes’
Coming back to this video to ask if you've sampled Un Jardin A Cythere. And congratulations on becoming a father! 🎉 All my love to you and Grace! Sending prayers for a safe pregnancy!
Thank you Angel!! You’re so thoughtful!
Hello Justin,
when H24 EDT was released at Hermès, they were confident it would revolutionize the industry (as they stated on their website). Incomprehensibly to me, it has flown under the radar... To a level that's almost offensive considering what an amazing fragrance it is!!
The "niche"/designer duality in the fragrance community is a huge pet-peeve of mine. "Niche" simply means "denoting products, services, or interests that appeal to a small, specialized section of the population," I don't know why it suddenly means something completely different in the fragrance world. I don't know who came up with the definition of "brands that only sell fragrance products" as "niche," but it makes no sense. Lots of brands that sell only fragrances make mass-appealing/mainstream fragrances (e.g. PdM) and lots of designer brands sell niche fragrances. I would consider pretty much every designer private line as niche, at least as niche as Creed, PdM, MFK, etc. Designer and niche are not mutually exclusive or opposites in any way.
👌🏾
Just ordered the Parfum based on your rankings. Appreciate ya bruh!
Enjoy it
@ thanks again, my brother ✊🏿
Forgot to mention that I totally agree with your definition of niche. A niche fragrance can and in many cases is produced by a designer. Tuscan Leather, Ebene Fume, Bois Marocain, Xeryus Rouge, Ricci Club, Opium pour Homme, Fahrenheit, Paco Rabbane (the original), La Cost pour Homme (original), Encre Noir L'Intense, etc.
I love the Terre line. I need to spend more time with my decant of the parfum to see if it will move up like it has for you. I'm pretty sure I tried the voyage once but it must not have made a strong impression. I will keep an eye out for it and try again.
Nice top! Eau de Basilic Pourpre would be my number 1 nowadays. Thank you for your work man!!
Thanks for watching!
I bought the Terre d"Hermes after-shave balm, as I was looking for something very mildly scented to relieve razor burn. It's perfect for that, but I've grown to quite like the fragrance, and was thinking of adding another Hermes to my lineup. I have a decided weakness for woody fragrances. Material is my current favourite, withJubilation XXV a close second. I think I'll add the eau Givrees for sure, as I need something for summer. Now it's only a matter of deciding between the EDT and the Parfum. After watching this I'm leaning toward the latter. Thanks.
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
TDH Parfum and Eau Intense Vetiver are my current favorites from their line; I will have to try Eau Givree when summer rolls around again..
Great choices. Vetiver Tonka and Ambre Narguile are in my top 5.
I got Hermes edt, decant of eau givree, & Eau Très Fraîche all bangers
for a grapefruit fragrance, nothing beats LACOSTE L1212 Eau De PARFUM
My favourite is Voyage Parfum! I was allured when i first smelled it, a pity it’s so expensive and hard to find in my country 😢
Eau intense vetiver smells awesome! It smells just like Tom Ford grey vetiver. They smell almost just alike. Eau intense has bitter orange vetiver smell and grey vetiver has grapefruit vetiver smell. They are like cousins
Interesting
My second bottle of H24 EDT is on order. I tried the EDP at an airport, and I didn't like it as much...kind of defeats the purpose of light freshness of the EDT. I agree with your assessment 100%.
I totally understand. But don’t get me wrong-I still like the EDP! 😁
Love it. I've known HERMES for their exquisite neckties much longer than I did for their fragrances, in fact, it was June 2006, Vancouver Canada when I came across Terre by chance. Since then, I started checking their other fragrances. Ombre Des Merveilles smells a bit strange so I never opted to try it on me. Un Jardin Sur Le Nil translates literally "a garden on the Nile" it is pleasant and nice but I find it a bit too feminine. Eau D'Orange Vert is nice and refreshing but too soft for my taste, I think the gym or out jogging is the perfect function for it, I have other scents that can serve that function. Voyage d'Hermes P is very nice, but again on blotter it isn't that exciting. As for the H24 series: my personal preference goes to Herbes Vives then EDP and finally the EDT (but this is based on smell on the back of my hand and on blotters, not a full wear). I think I need to find samples somehow. Herbes Vives reminds me of spring rain in the middle of a green field (no flowers). The other two: early fall rain when its not yet cold but getting there.. Odd, but that's the first impression. As for Terre D' Hermes series: A masterpiece DNA for sure, I have 2, Eau Givre which I came to prefer over the EDT, that's how much it grew on me.. The Parfum is for sure on my to get list as I think it will be my favorite. As for the Vetiver, I think it is a bit redundant.
Another way to look at the H24 series. The banana note comes off as honeydew to me. It is just a blast of honeydew with some mineral notes in the back.
Hi Justin could you please make a video about how to choose what cologne to wear for someone with big collection i always struggle hahaha
Use coin flips!
Eau Givree is the first fragrance I've bought a 100ml bottle of (thanks to a parfumo user). It took me a while to actually love it but the wait has paid off!
Hey, Justin have you tried Eau de Rhubarbe Ecarlate? It is in the same line as eau d' orange vert and the opening is amazing. The drydown is nothing like it sadly, just some muscs and something creamy about it, but it's appealing. Great video as always!
I’m glad you enjoy Givrée! And I haven’t tried Rhubarbe!
Oh yeah I bought terre d'hermes parfum love it man
There are a few kings of Perfumes. They are Hermes , Chanel, Guerlain Some Cartier. and some by Boucheron. These cannot be beat by many more expensive ones. Hermes, Chanel and Guerlain have always been my favorite since I was 12 years old. Obs. Many perfumes contain cancer-causing ingredients, but Hermes and Chanel and Guerlain use pure substances
You’re 100% right voyage and tdh parfum, just the best. I do get what you’re saying about the wearing experience, but for some reason I don’t know if there something about the new batches, but I don’t get que projection or performance of the og. Maybe I got nose blind. I put a dent of a 50% on my bottle in just 3 weeks, because I love it and because I can’t smell it after 15 minutes 😢
I don’t actually get much projection out of TDH Parfum either. But that is characteristic of a Parfum-they are denser and thus heavier scents, so they don’t really project as much as they actually just linger. I never smell it all that presently either, just enough to enjoy it on occasion throughout the day.
If you had tried Eau Très Fraîche more, I’m sure you would have loved it, even more than Eau Givrée. If you can find it somewhere for a good price, give it another try!
Terre d'Hermès … I love it..😊
Voyage parfum reminds me of a combination of xerjoff’s nio meets manceras lemon line. I just got eau givree and I’m really digging it.
I 100% understand about Terre D'hermes Parfum. For me, it's the hallmark of Designer men's targeted perfumes. I really enjoyed the EDT but I found it too scratchy & not polished enough to truly love it. Then I smelled the Parfum flanker & I knew it was a love.
It's so good!
@@stayfreshproductions It really is. How it comes off & more so how it makes me feel is honestly what I measure every other perfume against, Designer or Niche.
Facts niche / designer fragrances 👍🔥💯
Very good lighting, man.
Thank you!
Great ranking, brother! One question though, have you smelled Poivre Samarcande from the Hermessence collection? I thought it smelled lovely, but that day I tried on a few things on my skin, and felt that one became a skin scent after only a few minutes... Cheers!
Haven’t smelled it!
I have been wearing eau givree out this summer. Like you said, I just find myself reaching for it so often when it's blazing hot out. In Georgia that's every day. If they ever discontinue it I will buy a stockpile.
Awesome!
I must get the whole Terre D'hermes collection
Great scents!
Hermes do freshies so well, storytelling in a bottle.
I have what i believe is an old batch of tdh water based. The projection is huge. A guy told me he could smell me from 10 to 15 feet away
Voyage is still my favorite Hermès fragrance
So no Bel Ami? 😮😊 give it a try, please, it’s amazing!!
I will!
My favorite is eau tres fraiche.
Hey Justin,Terre Parfum was my wedding day frag 8 years ago....and after all this time I have still not found a frag that makes me regret my choice that day.
Love it!
Have you tried Hermes Equipage Justin? Supposedly it's the fougere offering from Hermes
I haven’t!
first like and view is mine!
and agree with you ... and L´Ombre des Merveilles is also my least fave of all .. i gave it to my girl to wear it .. smells more feminine
Terre Parfum is ART ....
Bel Ami is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Do you know why Cartier is disappearing to a degree? They used to be readily accessible
Hm, not sure I’ve explicitly noticed that. What have you noticed?
@@stayfreshproductions just seems like less stores offering them or making their sections small. Am sad as love the brand
100% banana from h24 edp. It’s the way the sweetness hits my nose
If you could do a video on WEAK fragrances that might only last 2-3 hours and where would be the best place to wear those lower performing fragrances because just because there WEAK they still can be very productive in certain occasions, for example YSL L'HOMME I'll mostly use when I shower and leave work headed home,my wife absolutely loves L'HOMME...
I'm so conflicted between TDH Eau Intense, EDP and EDT 😭
Nice! If you have Hermes, Cartier and Guerlain you don't really need more..
hi justin, i saw a previous video of you rating the guerlain ideal line and i was ready to get the edt and edp. how does h24 stand up to ideal?
H24 is completely incomparable to the Ideal collection! Like comparing eggs and watermelons. Depends on your taste and function!
If I could only own one line, it would be TDH.
I have two bottles of 200 ml Terre D’ Hermes I can’t tell if they are EDT or Parfum etc. please help!
Here for the replay.
I can smell the 98K now
Spring: H24 EDP, Summer: Eau Givree, Autum: Eau Intense Vetiver, Winter: TDH Parfum. I might swap out H24 for Herbes Vives, but need to try it...
I seem to be the only person that doesn’t like Eau Givree 😅 something about it just rubs my nose the wrong way
Great Voice
Thank you
I like eau intense vetiver at first but it smell like would I would envision mass at church would smell like
I regret buying H24 EDT and EDP, I wish I had just bought Beach Hut Man from the beginning. I'm happy with Voyage EDP but it's a little heavy/flat, I'd like to try the EDT some day. Eau Givree has been my best Hermes purchase by far, I tried Intense Vetiver but it has too much old man spice for me.
