I had the same experience. Didn't like EDT at all the first two times I smelled it on paper but decided to wear it anyway. 30 minutes later I just knew this is my new everyday scent. Really made me reconsider so many other fragrances I only smelled on paper and didn't give a chance on skin. I personally still don't love the opening but the dry down is sensational. PDM Perseus has a very similar dry down but turns a bit more floral and unisex near the end.
Finally somebody that said Terre d'hermes is ageless, i also believe this and get tired of everyone say that its a scent only for "mature/sophisticated men.
Never could get into the OG, but I recently tried the Eau Givree flanker and was completely blown away. So simple, so linear, but absolutely amazing. I'll try the vetiver next!
Eau Givrée is now side by side with the original EDT version to my nose and feeling. Just a BEAUTIFUL fragrance for summer, the best in my collection for that purpose, actually. It took place of my now second favorite Acqua di Gio Profondo.
Eau Givree is OUTSTANDING, uplifting, invigorating and addictive. It had a cooling effective that is so unique. Nice easy to wear scent that is so suitable for the Texas heart. A love for me!
First of all, thank you for taking the time and effort for making the video. Now, back in 2001 I met a friend of mine in a club who was wearing D&G Masculine. I smelled it and it was scent at first smell. Absolutely divine. It became my favorite fragrance at that very moment untill it discontinued in 2013. Last year I had a similar experience with Terre d’Hermès. I fell in love with the scent immediately and thought it was so unique. First I tried the EdT but was a bit disappointed by the performance. Crazy how I smelled the EDT half a dozen times on my older Brother about 10 Years ago even on me I didn’t like it . Didn’t see the hype . Was gifted a bottle last year and so incredible how awesome this fragrance is especially the dry down . Definitely a signature scent .
I'm so disappointed that I didn't learn about Eau Très Fraîche until it was gone. Everyone seemed to love it. If I'm not mistaken, it was discontinued because one of the ingredients was deemed an allergen and couldn't be used anymore, and they couldn't easily reformulate without it, so they created Eau Givrée to fill the hole left by Eau Très Fraîche. Thanks for the in-depth review of all the flankers. The original Terre d'Hermès EDT is one of my top three favorite fragrances (along with A*Men and Jaïpur Homme EDP), and I'm looking forward to trying all of the remaining flankers.

@@KJWofficial Ye. I keep telling everyone how disappointed I was with dior homme cologne when i got it. I was expecting it to be rich and interesting - similar to what other high rated fragrances are like. but it is not supposed to be rich or interesting. it is something that is supposed to smell soft, and keep you clean, crisp, and fresh on a hot summer's day. and in that vein, it hits it out of the park. it is now one of my favourite fragrances in my collection, and it is definitely the first thing I reach for when it is a hot day. it's great for when you are starting our a hot weekend, great when you are on holidays, and great for a hot day when you working in the office. But really, it is just great fragrance for every situation. :D
@@Black-mj3yz I had the EDT from some testers and I began to like the EDT fragrance a lot more than the parfum. The parfum is definitely a deeper, smoother scent and I can see why it would be better for the +35 age range. You should get your hands on a parfum tester first before you buy the parfum. My top 3 TDH: Parfum, Intense Vetiver, Eau Tres Frachie. Managed to get my hands on a 4.2oz before they discontinued it; it was discontinued due to some ppl being allergic to a certain ingredient. I use it sparingly, bc of it being discontinued; saving it. I’ll be purchasing Grivree soon, in order to save what’s left of my Eau Tres Frachie.; this is my favorite line. Subscribed
I got a sample of the EDT in an adventkalender from my girlfriend about 1-2 years ago and loved it. But I bought Bleu de Chanel as my first "better" fragrance before it, so didn't buy a bottle after the small sample. But after having Bleu de Chancel for quite a time now I wanted to get into Terre d'Hermès and decided between the Pure Perfum and the Eau de Toilette. The perfum is great, deep and masculine - but I ended up buying the EDT today because it's original, classic, fresh and was significantly cheaper.
@@lukasburkel1250 I actually had BDC first also. The switch to the TFH line was for the depth and no one was wearing it. Now I’m addicted especially to the EDT

Terre D’ Hermes EDT is my favorite fragrance right now. To me it is the ultimate masculine, elegant fragrance and the dry down is beautiful. I also have the Eau Tres Fraiche which is another one of my favorites. I have worn it dressed up and dressed down and it consistently gets compliments. The others I have yet to try, but they are definitely on my list.
When I first smelt the edt, I didn't like it either. Def not for beginners, or those who like bubble gummy sweetness. This smells classy elegant, and grown-up, but not as in grandpa. Now, I can't stop sniffing it.
I smelled Terre de Hermes and yes I thought it was a repugnant scent it reminded me of fallen oranges that have been rotting on the soil. I came back years later to Terre Hermes and doubled down I got the EDT and then Intense Vetiver which is an Edp. Never thought I would buy Terre De Hermes ever, I was wrong!

I just ran out of TDH eau givree and I really want to recharge my bottle since its my signature scent. But I already have a summer fragrance with Missoni wave and Fall/winter with Hugo Boss magnetic. I’m hesitating whether I should recharge my eau givree and have “2 summer scent” or go with an alternative TDH what do you think?
Eau Givree is def one of my top easy reaches in summer. I think it’s a touch better than eau fraiche because of performance so it’s def worth a second bottle imo. Pairs well with Wave as they have different dna

I have TDH edt...thinking of getting the Intense Vetiver. I am in love with Bvlgari Man Terrae Essence and Guerlain Vetiver. Does Intense Vetiver stand out on its own against those or share some aspect of each other?
To me they are very close in the dna. I love vetiver so I like them all and I chose Hermes. Guerlain seems to be more on par as far as quality tho but all are so good

@@thijs5931 I couldn’t tell a diff between the 2019 and 2021 but I first experienced it in 2010, now that bottle was a beast compared to my 2 newer ones. Unfortunately reforms are a part of the perfumers business and I think most of our favorites suffer similar fates
I find it really nice for cold nights. I’ve worn it during the day also but here it can get suddenly warm and it kills the elegance of the composition to me
