I'm so glad this was explained 'cause I just got mine it was confusing when I saw it.
Why is it not explained in the "user manual" provided with the product?
This video is very helpful and it confirmed how truly terrible the written instructions are. There is no way any reasonably smart person could figure that out on their own without a heck of a lot of trial and error. Worst written instructions ever!
I have two (2) of these sprinklers. One like yours and one that came with a Tri-Pod stand. I love them both. However, one of them quit working. I checked the batteries and all kinds of stuff to see what was wrong. I even switched heads with the other one and concluded that the brain (the little box with the small wire) quit working on one of them.
It would have been nice if they mentioned this in the instructions. Had to waste time searching about it.

this video was made in 2016.. it is 2021. It is ABSOLUTELY ABSURD that what to do with this piece is not in the actual instructions and you have all your customers spending a lot of time figuring out what the heck is going on. As a matter of fact, the "small animal" instructions are not even correct because you need this adapter to set it up. This piece isn't even in the parts list in the instructions. DO BETTER ORBIT.

Had mine put away, pulled it out, put new batteries and set it up in the front garden bed...but not working, has to be sensor or pump, but how to troubleshoot??

How do you trouble shoot an issue?
Mine is not working, how do I know if it's the pump or sensor? And, ate there replacement parts available?
I also bought this specifically for cats and need the lower mount but did not get it. Kinda disappointed.
I didn't get that extra piece when I bought mine last week. Was going crazy thinking I couldn't follow simple instructions but felt like something had to be missing. Of course the piece wasn't included... Of course the instructions still says that one can lower the sensor for small animal detection... Of course customer service doesn't answer anybody's emails or calls regarding this... Of course the price of this product increased...
Of course this product failed for my usage... Of course I will be returning this ASAP.
Even with the impact sprinkler lid pointed in the lowest/minimum setting, the water still sprays too high for my usage. Being able to lower the impact sprinkler would be nice too. In my case I bought an additional spike and impact sprinkler to connect to this device and that unit is able to be spiked down to the ground. So it's water is sprayed low, directly onto the critters I need this for. Too bad I can't lower my sensor though. Go figure. OF COURSE.
What if I want to LOWER the sprinkler head? It's set too high and hitting my house instead of the grass area.

I'm having issue with the battery box getting moisture inside and causing the batteries to become corroded. Any remedy to fix this issue?

I ordered the yard enforcer and it did not come with this part. I really would love to have this part. How can I have it sent to me? I tried calling customer service and nobody picked up the call after 30 mins waiting.
This part is no longer included in the Yard Enforcer. We leave this video up for those who purchased previous versions of the product and may be wondering what it was for.
Which version has the extra lower mounting bracket? I need this as well

@@orbitsprinklers So why do the instructions still show the sensor mounting lower?? I'm still waiting for a reply about this "missing" piece, I bought the sensor specifically to detect smaller animals and learning that it won't mount down there and the sensor head doesn't tilt down makes it pretty much worthless for my application. Not at all pleased with Orbit at this point.

Why dont you just say that the lower position is for targeting LOW TO GROUND ANIMALS LIKE CATS!!!
You say you get "a lot of questions" but that didn't motivate you to improve the printed instructions that come with it? Says a lot about how you think of your customers. Also, your video leaves out a lot. Why can't you do a video that shows all of the steps, not just one? Are you so cheap that you can't do a little longer video for us?
