I like the fact that Muse just does its own thing. If Matt & Co. tried to give what they thought fans wanted, then everyone would hate them for being "sellouts." By being genuine to himself, Matt avoided the biggest pitfall of most major bands.
i totally love this muse , from 1999-2003 the muse that comes after it , is just the remains form the old awsomness , i completely dislike the resistance
I agree, they were in this strange, ethereal, mercurial state in their creativity that made their songs and performances exude this unique, energized quality and then when Resistance came it just seemed like it wasn't as genuine or that it became sort of artificial.. hard to describe, it was a subtle change.
