Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, and, as always, thank you for watching. Quite a few people have suggested that I should have used our semi and TrailEze trailer to haul this on rather than towing it. I made the statement that I would have used the TrailEze, but it was out on another job. The TrailEze trailer is what I would have preferred to use. I stated this in the description of the video, verbally in the video, and I wrote it on the screen during the video. Yes, using the TrailEze would have made the job much easier, but I was raised to use what was available to get the job done. I was there with a truck capable of handling the job. It was up to me and whether I had the knowledge and skill to make it work. Hopefully, this video is viewed more for the problem solving aspect rather than how it could have been done differently. As I always say, "there are multiple ways to reach 10". My first option, wasn't an option, so I made it work with what I had. Thanks for watching and God bless.
There's also a time question. How many hours would it have taken to get the right equipment in place, plus a rotator for the lifts? So, this took a bit longer than if you had known to use other equipment. But you are already there and with equipment that can do it, just taking a bit longer.
Ron, I can’t imagine how many pairs of gloves you guys go through. Random thought I know, but in your line of work. Gloves are paramount! lol! Also, thank you for what you do sir. If I lived anywhere near you, while I have no experience, I’d love to learn with you. You are the epitome of a good boss. Firm, honest, hardworking, and give constructive feedback, rather than some I’ve had. Again, thank you for what you do. Stay safe out there good sir!
likewise! That's one thing I love about some of Ron's videos, is you can see and hear him thinking through the problem, but it's ALWAYS done in a family friendly manner....LOT of times with some humor mixed in (and if you're lucky enough....a Pratt fall lol)
Where's the rest of the part and 2 more tires and rims If we get it back to wherever we need to go. You're a brave man. Good luck to you on your journeys. God bless
One thing I can say I appreciate about you Ron is the fact that your not too puffed up or high-minded to where you think your to good to take a truck that's not the Rotator. I've met some folks that has told me if it ain't a Rotator job they ain't doing it. Especially light duty calls. An here it is your in the 20Ton gettin it done. I tip my hat to you sir. Stay blessed and safe out there.
Another awesome video, I love watching your videos, as an auto mechanic the tow guys are so under appreciated but they are the main ones keeping the work flowing. Side note my wife heard your intro music when I put it on the tv and she came running in excited to see your video, and with your clean content even my one year old sits and watches with us, thanks and god bless!!!
Mr Pratt, I accidentally put a towing video on that wasn't yours. I just love the way you make your video's. The competition has nothing on you, keep up the great work.
My first thoughts were "You're going to need the semi flat bed" and then "Looks to me like it belongs in a junk yard". It would probably be cheaper to buy a new truck. But I've seen you work miracles before so I will keep an open mind as I watch this. NERRY CHRISTMAS!!
Hey Ron! I’m shy of 2 years being a heavy operator and your videos have taught be so much on the recovery side of things. Truly appreciate you sharing these videos with us. God bless yall!
Thanks for providing me some entertainment as a former HEAVY, Towing and Recovery operator. Unfortunately, I’m no longer in your business due to a near fatal, massive stroke that has put me on the sidelines of doing the job that I once loved as I continue to recover. Your attention the details and expertise is amazing. I wish I had you as my mentor when I originally started Towing and Recovery the early 20 years ago. God Bless you Ron and your family and all of your families involved with your business.
Thanks for all your professionalism Ron! Your a breath of fresh air! It makes it fun to watch a video without hearing F this & F that! There's absolutely no need for it!
Interesting challenge. But mission accomplished. Not every thing in life goes as we hope or plan for them to go, however it is how we overcome the obstacles that reflect our real abilities. All ways enjoy your videos. STAY SAFE OUT THERE.
Ron, you give a new meaning to "if there is a will there is a way". Your perseverance is 2nd. to none. Being a maintenance man for over 40 years, the big joke was "if you can't get it loose get a bigger hammer". Beautiful dog, they can tell better than people if you are good or not, you win, you are a good person with a good heart.
Ron, I have heard of "Run what ya brung" racing, but this looked like the towing version of "use every inch of chain on the truck" towing. And that was just to get the front end secure. You have me scared when you are working alone and have your hands in places where just a little shift in the chassis could put you in a world of hurt. By the way "dad gum it" is about as close to a cuss word as I have ever heard come out of your mouth! LOL. At least you didn't have to tie the steering wheel down. Thank for brightening my day Ron!
Sounded like he was suddenly regretting not having a long, heavy rollback. Though with the condition of that truck, a rolloff dumpster would have been more appropriate.
You didn’t have a lot to work with, but you kept up with it.. you didn’t give up.. you had a great teacher and believed he was there with you.. take care of yourself blessings to you and your family 🙏😊
Hey Ron you forgot to strap the steering wheel ha ha what a fight to the end and have a great Merry Christmas to you and everyone there we love you and thank God for you
Ron, I think of your Dad now every time I see you using the "Chains"... I remember you saying "Dad we'll drag the Chains from here on" when he passed. Your Dad must have been an awesome guy, seeing how his son is...! 💯👍
i got to say i love watching this channel and am from the uk and do love the 18 wheelers keep up the great work to all the midwest truck and love from the uk
I love how you decided to do a test lift. Wise decision. It gave you a better view of things in the process to give you more info on how to do it safely.
Good morning all the way from Chicago....hey Ron think it's time for some paint for the underlift of that truck😅😅 Stay safe out there sir. Prayers for you and the crew and family. God Bless.
The eternal conundrum. You have enough business to ba able to afford to paint one of your trucks, but too much business to take a truck out of service to get it done.
In instances like this you have to methodical when you put things away or you will forget something. You use so much equipment to keep the tow from falling apart on the road.
Ten minutes in, I was thinking: Bring the rotator and the low boy trailer, I wouldn't want to dangle this thing while towing it down the road! And then I saw your note that the trailer was busy . . .
Did you forget the two most important rules? If it's supposed to move WD-40, if it's not supposed to move, duct tape. So, wrap the engine with duct tape then tape it to the lift and you're good to go. But I guess your way works too even if it is a lot of work. For safety purposes use the "CAUTION" tape. Nice hammer work too, that's how we used to start my car except we beat the starter instead of the brakes. If it breaks loose the only thing it's going to do is implant itself into the dirt, asphalt, concrete or whatever else is beneath it.
I'm guessing if you had recovered this originally to this yard, then the 2nd call to move it again would've been easier from your prior experience. Much respect for hanging in with this job.
Ron you did a great job and it was a safe job I appreciate you and everyone at Midwest truck you all do a great job don’t let anyone tell you any different I am a tow truck driver n operator and I totally dislike people telling me how to do my job especially when I know what I’m doing and I bet with the experience you have you do the best you can and from watching your videos I can tell you that yes we all make mistakes but we learn from our mistakes and you towing this truck the best way you can safely you did an amazing job 15:10
Could definitely hear the frustration in your voice. But as you say “there are multiple way to reach 10”. You stepped back and worked each problem 1 at a time, with what you had available. Love watching your videos. Look forward to them every Friday morning. Stay safe, stay healthy, and god bless.
Not every tow operation can have a trail-eze, it is good to show options that can be done with less equipment if one is willing to work harder like someone starting out with a new business.
this self extricting straps are great, ask you for 2 years ago where you get them from, and you told me from wallmarkt, and it´s the best thing i ever bought . so thank you for the tip. 🙂The best greatings from Denmark
Ron, what a difficult and frustrating mess of a tractor that was for you. But you have our Lord Jesus Christ with you at all times and you lean on him. Keep fighting the good fight. I always enjoy your videos, but even more so the fact that you are very open about your faith in Jesus! God bless you brother, God bless you!
@RonPratt so just a thought when i have slung in the past with totally clapped like you did i would run the 20ft grade 100 and i would go from the cab mounts and cross them behind the oil pan and that would hold everything in place. But like you said lot of ways to get to 10.
Loving the longer video cuz I get to spend more time with the best channel on utube. Love watching you think out the problem old school. Well done Ron.
Ron, I wish I could get in touch with you about a subject that you touch on a lot here in Virginia. I don’t think they have that lol but almost witnessed 1500 van fall off of a rollback because it was held on by the winch cable and a chain in the front and the chain in the back.
What an awesome video we were like doing the video and I’m watching through the video and then you’re trying to get the thing all set up and then things starts messing around and you start losing your patience says so funny. @@RonPratt I understand you done good for what you had . I wasn't to sure if it was going to held together or not love your videos and thank you 🙏.
Finding a way to make it work. That’s why he gets the big bucks.
That there are. You have a package coming from me... open before Christmas.
Innovative problem solving. Safety first. No foul language. All of what attracted me to this channel years ago. All in one video. Thanks Ron.
Thanks for the kind words and for watching. God bless.
likewise! That's one thing I love about some of Ron's videos, is you can see and hear him thinking through the problem, but it's ALWAYS done in a family friendly manner....LOT of times with some humor mixed in (and if you're lucky enough....a Pratt fall lol)
Ron is what they call a social media influencer. I wish more influencers were like him!
Where's the rest of the part and 2 more tires and rims

Greatly appreciate your kind words. I love what I do (most of the time)....LOL. Thanks and God bless.
How are you? Hi❤
Is the larry the cable guy/mater in the background your phone @Ron Pratt
You deserve a thumbs up 👍 for that one.!! What a pain in the butt.!! You got it done.!! Very good job.!!
Another awesome video, I love watching your videos, as an auto mechanic the tow guys are so under appreciated but they are the main ones keeping the work flowing. Sometimes we have to go old school in some situations. At least you know you still got it, Ron. God Bless you guys.
Thanks for providing me some entertainment as a former HEAVY, Towing and Recovery operator. I know it was frustrating for you but it was fun to see some old school efficiency! Thanks Ron!

Hi Ron, I really like watching ur videos keep them coming, I've been watching 10 years, I've learned alot
Wow Mr. Ron ... You had that thing, " Hog Tied ". ( lol )
Ron, you give a new meaning to "if there is a will there is a way". Your perseverance is 2nd. to none. Being a maintenance man for over 40 years, the big joke was "if you can't get it loose get a bigger hammer". Its been 3 years when I watched last sorry. but locking forward to catching up. thanks for the videos. From south africa.
Hello ron Pratt I always like watching your videos you make it so easy to tow a vehicle
That truck took a heck of a ride. I love this channel and watching/learning from a master
Ron, I have heard of "Run what ya brung" racing, but this looked like the towing version of "use every inch of chain on the truck" towing. And that was just to get the front end secure. IF he had tied it down, I would have absolutely died laughing. I could see him doing that just to be a wise guy.
"That's gonna be interesting." When Ron says that, you know he's in for a hard time...
Sounded like he was suddenly regretting not having a long, heavy rollback.
Though with the condition of that truck, a rolloff dumpster would have been more appropriate.
It would have been nice if when the truck was placed there they'd have put the front end on blocks.
I love the videos Ron and i have been watching for 7 years ❤
Were you able to get the job done, yes. You do it with what's available. Adapt, Overcome, and Improvise is the name of the game.
It's always nice when 4 legged friends come to visit. They let you know that some one is there and you aren't alone.🐾💜🐾
Any item with hooks will grab onto everything. The bane of my existence. You have more patience than I ever had.
Ron you wore me out and and i was only sitting here watching drinking my coffee lol
Thank you for having a Ron Pratt video on the Ron Pratt channel
You didn’t have a lot to work with, but you kept up with it.. you didn’t give up.. you had a great teacher and believed he was there with you.. take care of yourself blessings to you and your family 🙏😊
Many ways of reaching 10. And you went old school. Admirable! Sometimes easy teaches nothing..
"Where there is a will, there is a way" I always say.
Great job of problem solving Ron. That was quite a job!!
Well done Ron that is a very nice dog .
A master at work utilizing every available asset, especially his experience, patience and professionalism.
Keep up with the good ron teat love watching your videos on RUclips God
Ron, If there was ever a job that justifies swearing!... THIS ONE IS IT !!
OMG! Good job keeping your cool.
I think you needed a couple rolls of bailing wire with you for this job, what a wreck!
That jolt while working on the safety chains is better than coffee. A reminder that safety is paramount in all operations.
Hey Ron you forgot to strap the steering wheel ha ha what a fight to the end and have a great Merry Christmas to you and everyone there we love you and thank God for you
All those supervisors at the drop off lot...😂
Hey Ron. I love your videos and how u think on how to tow things and make sure everyone is ok. Thank you!
I love what you are doing mat and I love you trucks
Ron, I think of your Dad now every time I see you using the "Chains"... I remember you saying "Dad we'll drag the Chains from here on" when he passed. Your Dad must have been an awesome guy, seeing how his son is...! 💯👍
Yeah, Ron, some days we all get to ride the struggle bus. Good job with what you had to work with.
i got to say i love watching this channel and am from the uk and do love the 18 wheelers keep up the great work to all the midwest truck and love from the uk
I usually see your videos on Monday if memory serves. Glad to see one at an odd time.
Wow talk about jury rigging this tow 😂😂😂😂 but you do what you need to do to get the job done god bless you and your family
Great job with towing it! and I learned something today! Always be ready to improvise if the original idea doesn’t work
I love how you decided to do a test lift.
The science in rigging was awesome, you did great. enjoyed this video.
What a pain ! You sure needed Ethan and that trailer. You wore me out just watching you work. Stay safe, i enjoy your videos.
Ron, it might be time to invest in a second Trail-eze unit 😂 My goodness that looked frustrating. Thanks for the video and be safe!!
Yeah. No way I would have towed that thing and risked getting pulled over for an unsafe load and a $150,000 fine.
I really love these longer videos
In instances like this you have to methodical when you put things away or you
will forget something. You use so much equipment to keep the tow from falling
apart on the road.
Ten minutes in, I was thinking: Bring the rotator and the low boy trailer, I wouldn't want to dangle this thing while towing it down the road! And then I saw your note that the trailer was busy . . .
Another great video Ron mate complicated bit of chain work to get it right for yourself great job
Who else loves to channel?
God be with you Ron praise the Lord for giving you guidance

Nice work Ron.
Nice sling work.
Excellent video Ron.
The retired Air Force veteran.
Good morning Ron. Watching from Tennessee.
Patients is a virtue 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🫣🙈🙏🇬🇧
Could definitely hear the frustration in your voice. But as you say “there are multiple way to reach 10”. You stepped back and worked each problem 1 at a time, with what you had available.
Love watching your videos. Look forward to them every Friday morning.
Stay safe, stay healthy, and god bless.
It that is a standard Tow I'd hat to do one of their hard or hazardous Tows,😂😅 great job and mega patience 😂 thanks for sharing, all the best
That was a pain in the neck 😂 certainly a great workout for man and machine, great job ,thanks for sharing, all the best
Not every tow operation can have a trail-eze, it is good to show options that can be done with less equipment if one is willing to work harder like someone starting out with a new business.
Good job, sir. 👍
Watching from southwest Missouri (Osceola, St Clair County)
👋😁
That was a heck of a haul. Not a lot to hook to. Great work!
Have a great holiday season!
this self extricting straps are great, ask you for 2 years ago where you get them from, and you told me from wallmarkt, and it´s the best thing i ever bought . so thank you for the tip. 🙂The best greatings from Denmark
Great video! Nothing beats the old fashioned way!
Just a pinch of the "BSF Recovery Team" in my "Ron Pratt" this morning, LOL.
As Ron always says. More then one way to reach ten and I’ll never give up.
Great video Ron! Enjoyed watching it. Be nice if you had a dual axle roll back bed truck you can haul trucks on like this one you was towing,
Great job ! Now just have to get all the chains back ! LOL
It is one of these days when work is twice the work.
@RonPratt so just a thought when i have slung in the past with totally clapped like you did i would run the 20ft grade 100 and i would go from the cab mounts and cross them behind the oil pan and that would hold everything in place. But like you said lot of ways to get to 10.
you got a mess going on there Ron - good job getting er towed safely.
Awesome video keep up with a great work and be safe out there.
Thats one tough job. took lots of experienced thought to get it done properly. Good job.
Loving the longer video cuz I get to spend more time with the best channel on utube. Love watching you think out the problem old school. Well done Ron.
I would of called for the cowboy trialer, lol😊
You did great work that is why you got the award that you did
When the customer gets the bill, I hope they understand all the extra work Ron had to do.
Classic Ron Pratt! Close is never good enough.
Sometimes the hard way is the only practical way. Lots of work on that one.
Hello Ron, Is there ever anything straight forward in a tow job. If it is not one thing it is another. I drove tow truck, a regular local truck.
Ron, I wish I could get in touch with you about a subject that you touch on a lot here in Virginia. I don’t think they have that lol but almost witnessed 1500 van fall off of a rollback because it was held on by the winch cable and a chain in the front and the chain in the back.
Good morning from very cold New Hampshire
What an awesome video we were like doing the video and I’m watching through the video and then you’re trying to get the thing all set up and then things starts messing around and you start losing your patience says so funny. Another great video. Keep up the good work, looking forward to the next one.
WOW nice work Ron 👍👍👍🎄
Wow, that truck really took a hit. At least Ron got this challenge in a laydown yard and didn't have to dodge traffic.
Now Ron, you know nothing will go right until it decides to go the way it feels like.
Thanks Ron.
That would have been a perfect location / Opportunity for a Training exercise ..
Thank you for another Great video. Cheers
This tow reminds me of Yosemite Sam from the Looney Toons series whenever he got frustrated and “cussed” in his own manner. That being said great job on dealing with an extremely stubborn truck. What a mess is a vast understatement.
God Bless and happy Holidays from a fellow First Responder :)
