Ah yes a very dangerous thing called hope crazy how its been so fucking long since the Bucks won the championship fucking Kareem Abdul Jabbar was playing for them that's how long ago
Hope comes from the place you least expect it. What's next, Sacramento and Memphis next year? We all know Kemba's gonna have a bounceback year and get traded for moar picks, so it's only a matter of time before the OKC gigga-dynsaty.

1 thing this playoffs proved to the league about the hawks is tre is the truth and the team is solid! Alotta people dont get a chance to see them play normally yall should be proud
I'm rooting for the Suns for two reasons: 1. Chris Paul getting a ring would be great. 2. Monty Williams. He was an assistant coach in Portland for a while. Liked him here, and I want to see him successful.
He has a chance to ring chase on super teams once his contract expires by taking vet minimums. I mean, GP has a ring. This does feel like his last chance for HIM to win a ring though, to do for his legacy what Stockton and Nash never could.
11:33 Happy to be of service Tree, would have been nice to make the finals but at least we extended Nate McMillan and rightfully so. He's earned this job without question and in my opinion is the true coach of the year, but the NBA is biased so they'll give it to the guy coaching the Clippers.
So happy with the Hawks, going from the 4th worst record in the NBA to game 6 of the ECF is a crazy improvement, doing it without their two best defenders for the majority of it just makes it more impressive
Congratulations to the Bucks. Tom Grossi was their good luck charm the last 3 games. Very happy to see completely different teams play the final. Hopefully this becomes a new norm.
the fact that injuries riddled this postseason shows how more physical the game has gotten, or rather, still is despite an era of small ball and soft reffing.
players just have to cover so much ground on D these days. Also big guys are Embiid and Giannis regularly start their drives to the hoop from the freaking 3pt line, you can literally hear their ACLs screaming NOOOOOOO before they land.
I've been a suns fan since I was a kid but since they've always sucked until now I was never into the NBA since it was always predictable and my team wasn't gonna win anyway. I hope we win now
so youre 10 years old? suns have been one of the best nba franchises ever without a championship. ryan mcdonough made a mockery of this franchise with his tenure putting a losing stain on a team with a proud history of winning, always competing but luck never on their side.

Great ones, at that! Usually from the sports video games that people would probably forget about otherwise. Speaking of which, more people need to get some great quality rips from said video games from the Nintendo 64/Playstation era.
It was better when they had to go to Toronto. I love seeing these hopeless talking heads completely out of their depth in a place nobody wants them anyway. Most sports networks are a joke, ESPN is just the top of the pile.
"It's standard Denver, when you get some hope there will be about twelve wrenches thrown in the engine" That's what we Nuggets fans refer to as Nugglyfe. Anything bad that happens is to be expected; it's simply a part of life.
At least that’s predictable. However, the Clippers are that team where as soon as you write them off they do something great to give you hope. Then as soon as they give you hope, they do something to make you give up on them and it’s a constant back and forth cycle.
pretty much my favorite "guide" so far - really well done... detailed, funny, wonderfully sharp observations and a true fan's perspective on sports shines thru
What I also like here is that the Suns & Bucks were brothers in expansion. I never give a damn what city a sports team plays in, if they're good, good! I think, due to more availability of communication and knowledge in today's world, that talking about how a team isn't worthy to praise, win, or watch because the city they play in isn't nationally known or a magnet for tourists is long past its expiration date. For me, it's nice to see the Suns back in The Finals, and great to see the Bucks make it back (the Bucks were one of the NBA's strongest for a long time and still hold a good franchise winning percentage, even with being in the wilderness for so long).
The last time there was a matchup like this between not one but TWO non-elite fanchises was when the future Wizards played the future Thunder in 1978 and 1979. ESPN and CBS may hate this, but good luck to both Milwaukee and Phoenix. May the best team win!
Yes. Yes, he was. The Celtics didn't have Kyrie last year, either, and made it farther. It was actually a decent accomplishment for the Celtics to go a game over .500 in the regular season, seeing how they did not have one single healthy game all year. For every game this season -- both regular season and playoffs -- they had at least one guy either in COVID protocol or injured badly enough to not leave the bench.

Toronto: Huehuehuehahaha
I love that he’s a great player that doesn’t care about being a star, but I think that he literally creates problems with his team and teammates by not communicating enough.
@@joelmilten Kawhi has proven himself to be able to succeed without communicating. It’s everyone around him who creates problems. Bad medical staffs, Pat Bev being a loud mouth, Paul George and Marcus Morris’ inconsistencies, Doc being the overrated coach that he always has been, etc.
@@spookyspacecuck2233 ehh, if it keeps happening, you have to look at yourself.
@@joelmilten Between his attitude and no-show last year, I think this it for him. His Uncle treats him like a paycheck and is an awful agent. He's lucky the NBA hasn't outright banned him for trying to leverage both LA teams against each other with blatantly illegal requests. Even Pop was like, 'Kawhi, I still like you and wish you well, but fuck your Uncle and I'm sending you to Canada because of it.'
What he did to the Spurs was just outright dirty. They made the guy, they had the best shooting coach in the world, the only guy who saw Kawhi as a player who didn't know HOW to shoot, rather than one who COULDN'T shoot. Injuries fucking happen, and the Spurs are the only team that ALWAYS put long-term health over short-term success, resting starters on B2B's before it was even a thing.
Now the Clips have to eat crow for picking up this toxic asset. We know what Uncle Dennis wants, a supermax. We know what the Clips want, another year before doing that. Now him and his POS Uncle have to decide if to walk and take another max from a team stupid enough to chase him, or stay another year. Personally, I'd pull the rug from under him, convince him to stay and not opt out, then ship him off the moment after.
No joke, this absolutely was the most enjoyable playoffs so far in a VERY long time for the NBA.

They've had their moments in the NBA (especially starting in the early '90s), but they haven't seen anything close to the success they had in the ABA.
The Playoffs had so many twists and turns that even Tim Donaghy couldn’t “predict” who would go to the Finals
To be fair, the NBA did do their best to get the Clippers there. Game 2 was pretty much Scott Foster and the Clippers vs the Suns, and Pandemic Pee still blew it and the Suns clutched it.
I'm not gonna lie, I was kinda rooting for Brooklyn though as a Houston fan. Besides, they were hardly a Super Team against the Bucks, what I was watching instead was a Super Player named Kevin Durant. Seriously, if that was the Finals, I would've said fuck it and given him the FMVP anyways.

What I also like here is that the Suns & Bucks were brothers in expansion.
