    For some perspective, we went from having the same finals matchup 4 years in a row from 2015-2018 to having 6 different teams playing in the last 3 finals matchups. That's only happened 2 other times in the last 40 years in the NBA: 1998-2000 and 2006-2008.

    Warriors lost in the finals, tanked, and got young player, their core is healthy again and are in the finals once more. They did The Process better than 76ers

    • @philly_sports1558
      @philly_sports1558 2 года назад +134

      I think the results of the Process have been underwhelming but that’s really not a fair comparison. The Sixers started the Process because they were sick of being a mediocre team and wanted a star player that could lead them to the promise land. They haven’t yet but at least they got a true superstar in Embiid. The Warriors tanked in 2020 because they lost their three best players (KD to free agency and Steph and Klay to injury). They essentially just punted that season away and waited for them to get healthy. Now they are and you see the results. Also they took James Wiseman 2nd overall and he’s done absolutely nothing as a pro so far.

    • @TheNorthie
      @TheNorthie 2 года назад +67

      @Kevin Green the Dubs have been outrebounding opponents during the playoffs. Interior defense sucks, to be fair, but that hasn't stopped Strength in Numbers from dominating. The MVP was dealt with handily despite the Warriors not having a "true center" (in your words). They should be just fine against Gang Green. The only way they're losing this is if Smart takes another dive at Curry's ankles.

Here's the thing about that though even in the post season the Suns look like the team to beat. Chris Paul finally look like he was gonna get that ring and then maybe retire but instead to lay that egg and essentially rage quit your chance to make the finals is just so Suns like but more importantly so much of a choke.

    For all the idiots on here that doesn't know how Tree's "Failure" series works, read this!
    Legacy of Failure=Teams who have never won a championship after 25 seasons or more.
    Half-Century of Failure=Teams who's last championship was 50 years (or more) ago.
    So based off of this, the eligible basketball teams teams are,
    Legacy: Buffalo Braves/San Diego/Anaheim Clippers, Phoenix Suns, New Orleans/Utah Jazz, Denver Rockets/Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves, Vancouver/Memphis Grizzlies, Orlando Magic, New Orleans Hornets/Pelicans or Charlotte Bobcats/Hornets 2.0*
    Half-Century: Rochester/Cincinnati Royals/Kansas City/Sacramento Kings, St. Louis/Atlanta Hawks
    Teams eligible for Half-Century in a couple of years as of 2022,
    1 year away: New York Knickerbockers, Indiana Pacers (ABA title)
    4 years away: Brooklyn Nets (last ABA title)
    5 years away: Portland Trailblazers
    6 years away: Washington Bullets/Wizards
    7 years away: Seattle SuperSonics/Oklahoma City Thunder
    11 years away: Philadelphia 76ers
    *As you know, the Charlotte Bobcats went through the trouble of stripping New Orleans of the Hornets name AND history despite the Pelicans not doing much of note when they were in Charlotte!
    Depending on whether Tree agrees with the stripping or not, you are looking at two scenarios,
    Tree agrees with stripping: New Orleans Pelicans five years away from Legacy eligibility.
    Tree thinks stripping is stupid: Charlotte Hornets 2.0 seven years away from Legacy eligibility.
