The greatest mystery of the season for me is how badly concussions affected Tua, his play and the Dolphins, while Kenny Pickett's concussions didn't seem to cause any problems for him or the Steelers.
It depends on the severity of the concussions. Pickett suffered only a minor one and it was healed before he played again. All 3 of Tua’s were major ones and you immediately saw a drop in his production after the first one.
Tuas got a problem on his hands and Pickett doesn’t. Even before they got cautious about this back in the day, a guy gets that many concussions that quick, retirement talk came. It’s not even about CTE, it’s boxer stuff we’ve known.
The problem with Tua is something called second impact syndrome which basically a if you get a second concussion there a real risk of permanent brain damage and in some case it can kill a person. I think there might be some damage there with tua and tbh he should not play anymore and sue the shit out of the league
The simple answer is that Tua suffered a bad concussion before he'd healed from a previous concussion. Most sources say that repeated head trauma can lead to worse symptoms, especially before the previous trauma has healed. Tua wasn't really allowed to rest after his first concussion, thanks to questionable protocol he was cleared and sent back out to play. Keep in mind that concussion symptoms can easily last a week or more, and recommended recovery times are similar. Tua was given about five days to recover before starting against the Bengals. When he got nailed in Cincinnati, the first injury made the second one much worse.

Definitely a lot of potential for us next season. Resign Lamar, get a good #1 WR, and an OC who can utilize good passing and runs to dominate with Play Actions, and the ravens will go far especially with their defense.

Hope my Chiefs prove you wrong Tree but thanks for another awesome season of Sportsball! Always made me instantly happy to see your videos in my feed each week. Enjoy the game!
Seahawks surpassed everyone’s expectations. The fact they showed some competence the first half was awesome. It did fall apart and it hurt watching it as it happened, but hey. At the end of the day, we tried our best and can only get better next year! Let’s go Geno!
I mean the only time I remember people not doubting any successful team as much in this millennium was the 2007 Pats and Manning's first year with the Broncos (both SB losses ironically). People looked at the NFC east playing the AFC South and NFC North and somewhat fairly called it a relatively easy schedule. I mean, it is what it is but that doesn't take away from how stacked and good the Eagles are right now. That O-line and D-line alone would carry a team to a championship except this team is loaded everywhere else too.
I'm a redskins fan and even I said before the season they'd win the division and that people really were underestimating their Defense. The eagles have drafted very well.
What I'm going through with the Ravens right now is what I went through with the Bucks after the Bubble Postseason. The most crucial offseason in franchise history, and ESPN (excluding their team reporter) doing everything they can to get the face of the franchise out of there in favor of a big market team. If this is indeed the end, we will join the Patriots and Steelers in football hell thanks to living off of past glory.
With less titles, also, the Bucks rely too much on Giannis even though Middleton is their best playe- OH, you were talking about the Buccaneers, true indeed

So excited for this weekend! GO BIRDS!! 🦅
Jaylen Hurts Having the DOOM 2016 by legendary composer Mick Gordon being performed for Jaylen Hurts is the greatest combination of legendary figures in their respective industries of all time.
Frank Clark has really not been disappointing per se; his performance last year significantly lowered his expectations, but he has played well as of late.
Sure the Giants got blown out by their rival, but considering their preseason expectations and what Daboll was working with, I'll take it. At least we didn't have huge expectations that were let down like the Broncos lol
Thank you tree. I agree with everything you said about San Fran, they were still gonna get blown out regardless of who was at quarterback. I've been preaching that the last 3 days

The urinating tree jinx is back
Keep up the good work Tree. Been a subscriber since 2017 and just wanted to say we don't take you for granted. Can't wait till the day you hit a million
Thank you for picking the Eagles. Allowing the Chiefs to play the underdog role was a bold choice.
Picking against Mahomes is about as lethal as picking against Brady
@@ChiefBlue4298 oh please. Can you please stop acting like he was a god out there? Only special thing he did was run on a bum foot for 15 yards at the end 😂
@@neetrab He's not? He's making a statement about it being a poor idea to pick against a generational talent and a team that's been as consistently dominant over the last five some odd years.
That said hurts was the much more impressive of the two by far in that one singular game......minus the fumble I still don't know wtf happened on that play.
@@danielleasewala2225he’s a Philly fan. Don’t mind him, I’ve seen him commenting about Villanova games on here
2:06 the Ravens loss actually made me feel optimistic in a way. Nobody expected them to be competitive but they nearly beat the 2nd best team in the AFC with a backup QB and Greg Roman offense. It feels like we have a shot to do something but just need to figure out the offense/not have half the team injured every year
we need to start with resigning lamar, if we do (which i think we will) i will be very optimistic for next season
Definitely a lot of potential for us next season. Resign Lamar, get a good #1 WR, and an OC who can utilize good passing and runs to dominate with Play Actions, and the ravens will go far especially with their defense.
*the best team in the afc. Bengals win with a healthy o line
@@tpWeavile I can't disagree and as a ravens fan pains me to say it lmao. At least they're gonna have some cap problems coming up so maybe they'll get worse lol.
7:18 everybody in WNY has been asking that question for the past 3 years
8:48 I’ve missed this line over the years 🥲
Crazy 1 year later and the Chiefs' secondary has gone from biggest weakness to biggest strength
The Tree jinx is all too powerful
This is the first time in my entire life that the Eagles have a good qb and a good wr at the same time (TO is his own thing lmao)
Vick DJax
Love the dark souls music for the bengals fitting demise
This is gonna be Fun! This playoffs were fun still. Can't wait to see the Eagle's back in the superbowl!!
Fine analysis of the superbowl teams, tree. Football savvy and a good sense of irony - it's why we tune in. Here's hoping you find a way not to underestimate yourself or burn out. Thanks for the year's vids.
as a bengals fan of 9 years i hate that loss but the loss was amazing experience to never under estimate ur opponent espesaly the chiefs
if we fix our few holes we should be back in the afc championship
I always look forward to the haters guide; and this one doesn’t disappoint.
After praying for Niners Bengals and then having to cope with the injustice I felt after both games, I really needed this to watch Super Bowl this year 🙏
That would’ve been a dream matchup
Mann I was wishing that too lol next year
I was wishing Bengals-49ers both this year and last year
@@IchigoKurosaki0715 maybe finally some revenge?
@@FelipeYoshioCordeirodeSouzaMaybe. They ruined my near perfect bracket in one day lol.
For the first time since the 1980 World Series, Philadelphia and Kansas City face each other in the championship round.
Can't wait to watch this video. I haven't followed the NFL at all this season and I hope Russell Wilson and the Broncos at least made it to the AFC championship since they weren't in the thumbnail!
oooooh boy your in for a rude awakening
Ha
Who's gonna tell him
The Tree Jinx lives on!
Now I can watch the NFL/ rams at peace between now and beyond. 6:40 “Kyle Brandt is in exile”
Hope my Chiefs prove you wrong Tree but thanks for another awesome season of Sportsball! Always made me instantly happy to see your videos in my feed each week. Enjoy the game!
They did! By a final score of 38-35
My day has been made far greater from this video
Top 3 superbowl I've ever seen.. this was crazyyy
Seahawks surpassed everyone’s expectations. The fact they showed some competence the first half was awesome. It did fall apart and it hurt watching it as it happened, but hey. At the end of the day, we tried our best and can only get better next year!
Let’s go Geno!
I love how for the Eagles, you played Doom The Only Thing They Fear. Rip and tear. Fitting.
“All I know is we’ll be so tired of the story lines we won’t be able to wait for the game to start” 😂
He's so right too
I heard a voice in the darkness...It was Urinating Tree...And it was good!
It’s hard to believe people really doubted the Eagles all season with the amount of talent they have
I mean the only time I remember people not doubting any successful team as much in this millennium was the 2007 Pats and Manning's first year with the Broncos (both SB losses ironically).
We Chiefs fans have been wanting this matchup all season
I don't think people doubted them, it's just hard to like them because of their fan base.
Always watching this the night before or hours before the Super Bowl
Can’t wait for this game to start soon
What I'm going through with the Ravens right now is what I went through with the Bucks after the Bubble Postseason. The most crucial offseason in franchise history, and ESPN (excluding their team reporter) doing everything they can to get the face of the franchise out of there in favor of a big market team. If this is indeed the end, we will join the Patriots and Steelers in football hell thanks to living off of past glory.
With less titles, also, the Bucks rely too much on Giannis even though Middleton is their best playe- OH, you were talking about the Buccaneers, true indeed
Ravens Patriots Steelers Colts Packers
They are all in past glory hell
@@andrewbishop4447 You can add the Broncos in there too.
@@michaelhession2105 the broncos were only good cause they had peyton manning for a minute they never really dominated over a long period of time like the steelers ravens patriots colts and packers
8:35
I'm trying to really think about if the Giants wanna keep Saquon, Danny, or cut ties with both but that dern "bonk" sound effect comes in and I lose it
Damn I wanted to see the new overtime but glad we can see a 1v1 battle again. Buffalo needs to get a run game!
The DOOM music for Philly is fitting. By all metrics, they were SUPPOSED to end up here and they look like an honest to God hellknight ready to move in for the kill, but KC is just too crafty to be counted out. We'll see.
Wanted the Eagles to win, but congrats to the Chiefs.
We'll be back next year I feel it
No one wants revenge on Andy Reid. Everyone in Philly loves Andy Reid. When you’ve only been to one Super Bowl in your history, getting to a second makes you a hero. Plus he ingrained the trenches first mentality that is still giving us success and he gave us Peterson and Foles for our first ring. Man is a godsend
The Eagles have been an absolute pleasure to watch. Quiet success, brewing all year. Consistency, depth, flexibility. It’s unreal!! I knew they had this in the bag when they almost beat the Cowboys with a back up QP and 3 defensive stars on the sidelines. The Eagles Army regenerates as you break it down. So excited for this weekend! GO BIRDS!! 🦅
🙌🏽🦅💪🏽
I like these videos before even watching them. That's how good you are tree. True commentary and quality
It’s never an NFL year without a team from Ohio being miserable.
Why did God choose this punishment for me?
No ones forcijg you to stay
You can walk away
At least you made the playoffs and the AFC champ game, some of us cat teams can only dream of such things (yes I’m a sad lions fan)
Well, Ben got the fuck out, does it count? He's from Ohio too, after all
@@benkessler4439 you guys might make it soon, just keep building the team, get better coordinators and maybe even a QB
What I wanna know is how the bengals plan to pay all their players next year.
Jaylen Hurts Having the DOOM 2016 by legendary composer Mick Gordon being performed for Jaylen Hurts is the greatest combination of legendary figures in their respective industries of all time.
20:50 The 🌳Jinx is still alive.
Hell yeah "The Only Thing They Fear is You" is a banger. Glad you used it for the Eagle's segment.
was looking forward to this video. Fly Eagles Fly
Having Doom Music playing behind the Eagles showcase is just pure gold. It fits so well😂😂😂
Also, Siriani was a Chiefs assistant not retained by Andy Reid when Reid was hired by the Chiefs.
Thank you tree. I agree with everything you said about San Fran, they were still gonna get blown out regardless of who was at quarterback. I've been preaching that the last 3 days
Still loving the content.
This will be quite a finale. Let’s end this with a bang!
With Gwyn's theme playing during the Bengals section, if you know, you know.
Everyone doubted us even urinatingtree but chiefskingdom now has its third
Nah tree is just moving his hate from the pats to the chiefs lmao. He just like most mouthbreathers get tired of seeing one team win frequently.
Listening to Gwin’s theme as the bungals lose is all I needed today.
The thing nobody talked about
The Chiefs had one of the toughest schedules this year while the Eagles had one of the easiest.
The Chiefs were far more battle tested than the Eagles heading into the Super Bowl and it showed
I agree, I also think the Eagles were more talented, but when you put Johnathan Gannon against Andy Reid, everyone would put money on Reid.
At least I can laugh at the Cardinals some more...
I always look forward to these, like the good old days of ‘The Shame Report’
