I have a 70’s Quartz-Analog chronograph, the 1st all analog quartz chrono from the mid-80’s, the quartz SNA 411 from the late 90’s. But my favorite is my SARB 017 Alpinist! Great watch!
Hey mate, keep looking on local FB forum; marketplace, EBay. Hope you will get a mint condition with reasonable price. Full disclosure I paid $725 a year ago as unworn and I think it’s acceptable. I won’t pay $1k though. But saying that I think demand of Alpinist will continue to rise.
one of the best watches of 2021 almost got away from me because of those stock photos on the spb259 Ginza. the photographer from seiko should be fired 😂
Absolutely mate, that’s a cracking watch for sure. And also I agree with you the Photographer shouldn’t be doing his or her job in Seiko no more, or some additional training is required!
@Felix_love_watches thought I'd see what you think Felix I'm on the fence on two watches , SUN069 or the SRP453 ( if I got the srp453 I would replace the plastic bezel to steel ). still on the look out for that monster srp455 to come up for a decent price patience will pay off eventually 👌
@@SeikoLeaks is the SUN069 the Kinetic world timer GMT? The SRP453 the brother of my monster srp455? Man, my hearts go straight to srp453, more desirable, more relevant in the long term. What’s price on both?
@Felix_love_watches yea the sun069 is the kinetic GMT seeing some sell around the 500 aud mark and the srp453 monster at the moment 640 aud mark if I add the shroud it's probably going to be around 700. these older seikos with some quirky designs are definitely going to be very desirable as the new range look very vanilla lacking some design flair
@@SeikoLeaks 100% mate you are absolutely on the money, personally I would chose the srp453 without even looking at the other but I know the whole SUN lines built like tank and very good following. The person who sold me the srp455 actually has the srp453 as well and I think he is selling that off the market, maybe you can reach out to him.
the green and gold colour on the alpinist is legendary and will go down as one of the best watches Seiko have ever made

Not buying the SARB017 at the $400-$500 range will go down as one of the biggest regrets in my life. Now they’re up to $900 used and $1500 “new.”

This watch will be purchased as a stamp in my life in graduating university 😅😄
