Great to see all your feature updtes on here Mike! And your RUclips channel is doing great!!
seems fun! Can´t wait to use them...
Very interesting, thanks
i wonder if the effects and avatars feature is not disabled in my company. i am only seeing Video effects. i have checked for updates, but still no luck.
Wonderful 👌
Those are some meaty updates for spring. Good stuff in there.
Brilliant, thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Great as always, thank you
Glad you enjoyed it
Once again good stuff! Thanks
My pleasure!
Hi Mike, love your videos for inspiration for our educational use.
One request: please get yourself a microphone for the intro recording, so there isn't a big sound difference compared to the rest of the video :-)
Zooming has been available for a while. Just hold and use the scroll wheel on the mouse
In the new sharing mini-window, is there a way to see when a new person joined your meeting while you're presenting?
Hmmm i don’t have the avatar option. Any idea how i can zoom in on emails when presenting them?
Mike. What software do you use to record your videos ? Which are great by the way ‘
I know he has used Camtasia before
I use Camtasia
Some good stuff coming. Whiteboard integration is possibly the best. Just one thing: Who wants to make 2 or more clicks to just zoom? UX is still not a strong point of Microsoft.
For example I give a assignment turn it in then unturned it then delete the Dokument and put a new one better one can they see the old one before one?
wonderfull
Many thanks
@@MikeTholfsen what about ai in forms
Sadly still no "share parts of a screen" feature. i am working on an ultrawide and if I share my whole screen, others dont see anything because its streched and very small. Sharing only a window would solve this, but sadly i often have to share multiple windows. Show the code editor, then switch to the browser to see the result. its unpractical to have to stop sharing one window and start sharing the other every few minutes. If i could just share a portion of the screen, i could always move the important window into the shared area and switch windows without any issues.
When creating the Avatar, it would be nice if you could have a webcam view side by side to assist in matching the features.
Agreed

When will loop be supported in Teams channel posts?
Don’t have an ETA yet
They really put a lot of work in the avatars. But not much people are waiting for it.
Strange.
Apart from at-mentioning everyone, none of these are something I want to use. Especially the avatar one is something I just don't see any use for. I wish Microsoft would instead fix all the missing features and bugs in Teams, that customers have complained about in the forums for several years now. Instead they keep on introducing new stuff all the time in Teams. It only increases the learning curve and it's overwhelming new users, not used to Teams or that way of working. I see it every week in my Teams courses. It's way too much stuff and features. It's the same thing that ruined Outlook and made it a bloated piece of software where people only use 5% of the features.
Thanks for the update. These are great for corporate. I am not sure about the avatar thing with students. I am concerned about what AI will do to education. Nice updates to assignments with the timeline! Grade book upload to Schooltool!!!!!!!! In most of the Edu Textbook e-book site Teams is lacking on grade book integration which creates a lot of extra data entry on the teachers part. I am liking the insights more it saves me from making List and having to create an app to track students skill progression. Please allow teachers to assign individual or groups off students to a specific Channel and perhaps having a grade book option for all channels, not just General Channel. It would be nice to condense things and maybe not to have so many Teams. and file moving, Notebook copying etc. I have two, 3 hours session of classes a day with 40 students teaching Construction and managing student skill progression assignments, our job sites, tools inventory, communication and grading. I use Rubrics for grading skills, skill saw assessments, wall plate layout assessments, rafters, etc. Insights helps me see where students are weak in skills and where I need to review. I would really like to not have to duplicate or extra click to communicate with my two class. Flexibility with assigning Channels would help a lot. Sketching and drafting in Whiteboard. Thanks for your work and sharing the updates!
Can you show how to stop Teams from auto-cropping the camera image?
Here's Uranus 🤣
avatar not showing up on my teams, full up to date. Does it need to be enabled?
same here, looking forward to an answer. what's the trick?
note: do not see it available in Teams admin center, manage apps.
thanks
Have you activated Teams public Preview?
You need to have Teams Public Preview enabled and be a Commercial Tenant
I wish we could write messages using the presenter window, too. It's difficult to go back and forth to write a message when sharing the screen.
PowerPoint Live and Excel Live make that possible, but you’re right that being able to still see and respond while generally sharing your screen would be nice. Multiple displays resolves that, but I recognize not everyone has access to that all the time.
When is multi account for desktop clients are coming?
That is part of the "New Teams" rolling out this summer
Thank you! This is one of the things I'm talking about in my comment in here. Instead of introducing all these new features, Microsoft should concentrate on fixing all the things users have been complaining about for the past five years.
To be released in 2025? Why do they keep announcing things that are nowhere near ready?
When will this be available to Consumers?
Not sure
Avatars not working... seems like its not been working for over a week.
Is this avatar feature that big a deal?
I have to use Teams at work, and I mostly can't stand it. I use an MS Surface, and the controls in Teams are VERY unfriendly to touchscreen use and onscreen keyboard work. Just try to scroll through a list of task cards in the planner on a touch screen without accidentally moving a card. It's damn near impossible! It's a pig with resources, frequently maxing the CPU and forcing me to wait while it syncs whatever it's working on. Yes, it will eventually give back the huge mountain of RAM it has commandeered, but that again takes time, and I get to wait while Teams gets around to giving some of it back. It often doesn't update changes until I move the mouse, after I've already been alerted to them on my phone. And having the "assigned to" pop-up list sort AFTER being displayed is a particularly sadistic idea. I have nearly thrown my Surface against a brick wall more than once because I accidentally deleted a person that had moved under my finger an instant before the touch, when I was intending to delete a different person. This software is MADDENING.
How about fixing the problem with Chrome in the latest Windows update.
Or all the other missing features people have been complaining about for the years.
How much effort has been wasted creating the avatar feature, which will most likely be disabled in most corporate environments anyway? Effort would've been better spent trying to introduce features like individual volume control per-user, which we'd been asking for for years on UserVoice (before MS walked away from it) so we're not deafened by one user, but unable to hear another.....or maybe better noise isolation/cancellation, similarly to how Nvidia Voice works.
But, is @everyone Good for the Company?
I think you can turn this feature off if you're an administrator.
@@hogne ... um, yeah, before you do that you have to, you know, ask yourself, is it Good for the Company?
Why not let AI create your avatar based on your picture?
I’m sure that will be the case some day!
i was actually, thinking the same. it would be great
Sims?😂
Setting the avatar is a waste of time, imo. Easier to just use the app that changes you into a cartoon character.
what app is that haha i need it
