I'm taking notes with this one! When we first started with our van conversion, a neighbor warned us not to try to get too close to the water--he learned the hard way as well and needed to be towed. That spot is so beautiful though--looks like you have it all to yourselves! The dog obviously approves!
Absolutely! We always want to see people's experiences in vanlife-ing, and this time it paid off since we actually saw someone else got stuck in the sand and showed us this. Kana loves our vanlife journey for sure 😃
Good ole Beaumont,my birth place. THE birth place of the oil boom. Now if you wanted a real bridge . Then you should have driven across the rainbow bridge. They built that bridge in the 30's. They built it at a height to handle the USS Patoka. The largest ship in the US navy at the time. However the ship never crossed under her. Now that bridge is steep and goes only one way. There was also several naval yards in the area at the time of its construction.Yes the area between Beaumont and Galveston is quiet industrial with as much as 90% of the oil in this country coming from the area ( don't quote me But it's alot) My uncle and aunt used to have a beach house on Gilcrest island. Great video guys.
The video immediately stressed me out when the van was stuck, but the beautiful water and sunrise was very relaxing, lol. I had been stuck in the sand before and it was so stressful. Great video guys. Stay safe. Roger
Yall have the best dog ever. Thanks for sharing
Awwww, thank you! She is very sweet and makes traveling so much more fun!
Hopefully we’ll get to check it out as we drive along the coast!
Definitely 😁
Make sure you clean the undercarriage too after camping on the beach!
For sure! Thanks Rebecca!
Thank you for this video! I am looking forward to being there for a month.
For sure! You'll enjoy the beach 🏖️😉

We love Texas. Boliver is a great fishing and chilling spot. One of the only beaches you can bring your 4 wheelers.
💯
We miss H-E-B and Buc'ee's too 😅
Awesome video and growing up in Houston being sticky was just part of life 😂

Thank you Roger - yeah, I guess that's how we learn NOT to repeat certain things in an RV 😅
Thanks for the video! You guys handled getting stuck in the sand really well. Are you still finding sand in the van from camping on the beach?
LOL yes! There are still sands in places that we found two months later 😂
