    0:47 That was our group at Padre Island! I owned the silver jeep to the right of the frame. Saw ya eating at a BBQ joint in San Antonio and didn't wanna bother ya! We were the big group that sat down just as you guys were heading out. I was the sunburned tomato! We couldn't believe it was you! Drive safe and be safe guys

    I'm from Texas and the lack of public land is one of my biggest complaints about the state. There is so much seemingly empty unused land too.

    • @cabiv545
      @cabiv545 3 года назад +13

      Because Texas was a country when it joined the US, it kept its public land.

    • @RanchoTexano
      @RanchoTexano 3 года назад +8

      Also the Spanish and later Mexico made massive land grants to bring settlers to Texas. Most of these were honored when Texas became a Republic and when it became a state. The rest belonged to Texas as the post above explains

      " There is so much seemingly empty unused land too."
      It's private land. Owned by private citizens. That's like complaining about not allowing people to come traipse around your own backyard.

    • @huehuehue-x3c
      @huehuehue-x3c 3 года назад +1

      @@heavymetal9099 It's pretty dumb to argue that millions of miles of unimproved land are the same as your own backyard. Sure, people own it but unless they are all employing dozens of ranch hands to protect the land, it would be pretty easy to camp on the so-called "private" land.

    Brad, was just watching this episode and today I got another crack on my windshield. Last year i found a neat trick to keep the crack from spreading. All you need is alcohol, clean cloth, Krazy glue and a razor blade. Works everytime for me. Clean the cracked area real good with alcohol, let it air dry. Then squeeze plenty of krazy glue all in the crack (make sure you get it in any minute crack). Let the glue air dry and scrape it off with blade. All done. Love your videos, thank you once again.

That looked like a fun trip, but you really racked up the miles. An outsider might not realize you drove over 1700 miles through Texas, which was easy on this end of the screen.... In January, I started doing research on Jeep Wranglers. I always wanted one and finally, I am retired and at a point in my life, I can get one. Found your channel, and liked your content from trails to reviews and also the fact I'm from southern California also and did not know these trails existed here. I also liked how well made your videos are. After watching a few, I decided to watch all your videos from beginning to end, binge-watching a little each day. I finally finished a few days ago and again, well done and informative. Also, during this time, I did buy my Jeep, which I actually ordered. Surprisingly, it was an ordered vehicle that came in, in five weeks. Surprised me and my salesperson, I ordered a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Ecodiesel in Hydro Blue. Being new to the Jeep world, I figure if I get lost, a helicopter should see my blue Jeep, LOL.

While Rudy's is ok BBQ, it's nowhere near the best. Stay a little longer next time. Oh, and spring time in BBNP or PINS is likely to be windy.

    FYI, regular visitors to the park don't like telling people about the park. Because we like that it's the least visited, and don't want it to be full wien we go.

    Master Chief, It looks like you visited North Padre Island. I grew up on South Padre Island as a kid. That was my sandbox. I miss it. -Boats

    I've camped at Big Bend multiple times and also found myself pondering why we would need to make reservations for a sight. Best I can come up with is for accountability, easier to know of someone is missing and where to start looking if you know who all is there

    We were dumping our trash at the same time otw off the beach. Was wondering why someone would go through the trouble of getting a matching camper and vehicle. Just came across this video randomly. Now I know. Good stuff, hope you enjoyed our Texas Beaches.

    Great video! Ah, brings back good memories of our trips to Big Bend & Mustang Island just North of Padre. The beach is incredible & the shore birds are fun to observe. Just watch out for the Jellyfish! We camped on the beach too & the temp never varried more than a few degrees from upper 70's. Had jumbo shrimp at a little place in Port Aransas, best ever. Thanks!

    PINS is awesome. I camp 8-10 times a year there with my sons. The sunrises on the beach are primo.
