Just a small correction - Law 12.10 - if the kickoff (probably, because of wind) goes beyond the kickers OWN dead ball line, a 5m scrum is awarded to the opposition. Not at the centreline as mentioned at 06:25 in your video. Thanks for the great video's - also of good use to newer referees! 😎

Thank you for double checking this, that is 100% correct. It looks like both myself and the referee on the video made the wrong call.
you can not choose to receive the ball. you can choose to kick or choose ends. 1a is not an option, its an outcome of choosing ends.
