My new hoses are leaking from the Rack side. I think the white o-rings stretched when I put them on the original power steering hoses. Is there a way to get those nylon hoses on without stretching them? it seems almost impossible on this car. I've did it before and had no issues on another Fox.

Put a little transmission fluid on the sealing washer and carefully use the end of pick to roll the washer into position. Option 2, soak the sealing washers in warm water to soften them up and use the same process. This makes them even easier to roll down the threads of the fitting. Let them return to ambient temperature before installing the fitting. -Landan

You think there is any reason I couldn't connect the hoses to the rack before I install it? Then have a buddy help fish them up as I get the rack in place.

I have installed two high pressure lines and tried all sorts of different things but it still leaks at the rack fitting. Any suggestions?

It could be that you're over tightening the fitting. You can't get a torque wrench on the fitting, but the spec is 10-15 lb-ft. I'm sure you've already verified that you're using a sealing washer? -Landan

I'm not sure. There could be several reasons as to why that happened. I would ask the company you purchased the rack from. Or, return it and just purchase a brand new unit from us. -Landan

Is there any reason why before the hoses ran inside the sway bar and and after outside of the sway bar?

The clocking of the hoses moves them underneath the sway bar. -Landan

I like creature comforts. I've driven cars with manual steering racks, and don't really care for it. If you're going all out in terms of saving weight and going fast, then a manual rack should be considered. -Landan
