Thank you. We're looking forward to getting back out there. This year has had a slow launch as we're gearing up to buy a '27 Globetrotter before heading out. I bet you could produce a hoot of a series with Big Bird doing the hosting!
Thank you! This was the most realistic video about actually living/camping in a small travel trailer! Really felt like I was on the road with you. I'll be sure to check out your other videos, thanks again!
Thanks for sharing your daily routine in a tiny space. I am obsessed with tiny living and have embraced the RV lifestyle. I have been living full time in my 8 by 15 T@B trailer for 1 full month and I work every day. I plan to retire from teaching at the end of this school year and hit the road, heading west. I will become a workamper and see the sights along the way at my leisure. It's all I think about. Meanwhile, I am watching videos like yours to learn how to juggle and and make modifications that will make things more comfortable. I really like the tiny table that serves multiple uses inside and outside the trailer. I gotta get one!
Thanks for sharing. I think you are brave and taking good steps to realizing your dream by 'heading out'. Every day brings new opportunities to see what we are made of... and our gear! That IKEA table has worked well. I love most having the consistency of stuff in its place while having the consistency (variety) of new views, people and places. Keep up the learning!

Yep, the Tundra will tow uphill better than the Xterra. It's rated at 5K lbs. We did fine with it, so long as on the long descents we had accurate brake controller settings! The '19 would be fine for a single person. With two - well let's say it works, but is a chore.
We're heading back out in a couple weeks, and the 27 Globetrotter will be the choice. Much bigger and it's too much compared with the nimbleness of the Bambi. Thanks for sharing.

I enjoyed this video thank you. It is realistic and fun at the same time. Even by European standards that is a small travel trailer. It is good to see that not all USA RVers have giant fifth wheels with vast fridges and multiple rooms. The small travel trailer or motorhome means you can go to many wonderful places that those in larger RVs cannot get to. That is a really great advantage.

We used the 2007 Nissan Xterra on the 19' Bambi. The towing capacity is 5000 lbs and the Bambi is rated for 3400 lbs I recall. We found the Anderson hitch was sufficient for the light loads, and the short wheelbase wasn't an issue until the cross-winds were above 30 mph. We upgraded to an f-150 with a max tow package in order to tow the 30' Globetrotter. We invested in a ProPride hitch in order to ensure the long length was very stable - an wow are we pleased with the Hensley design of the ProPride. Thanks for commenting.

I noticed you are towing your 19ft airstream with a Nissan Exterra. Do you have any concerns when uphill or high incline? Reason I asked is, I am planning of using my Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.6Cyl, 6v, 8 speed with tow package when I purchase the Bambi 19CB.
That's a great question and here's an interesting insight. We didn't have any problem by manually downshifting because the tow capacity was 5000 pounds and the Bambi was only 3800. However there was a factory defect in the transmission cooling system. The cooling line cracked inside the radiator forcing coolant into the transmission fluid which resulted in the pink milkshake of death - and a one year loss of the Xterra for an $8k transmission replacement. Consider all your secondary systems!
Wow - well said. To that I would add the abundance of sticky memories. The good and bad memories are worth the journey, but if you have a budget for slightly larger (less than 27) We'd recommend it for a couple. Single, sure a '19 would be fine. I cycled 3 times across the US with a tiny trailer, so the '19 is huge compared to those adventures (Bambi has a hot shower!)

I pulled it nicely. I never had an issue keeping up to 65 or at the limit in the hills. I did have a little fright dropping out of the 7600' pass from Death Valley on a 8% grade. I didn't have the break controller high enough - but we smelled it soon enough to pull over and let our heart rate drop. We had an unfortunate discovery that many Nissan owners shared - the strawberry milkshake of death. A factory defect lying dormant in the radiator that cost $6K when it was flooded the transmission with coolant. We're hoping to be back on the road in the new year with 198K miles and confidence. The anti-sway mechanism was superb - it's an Anderson andersenhitches.com/Catalog/weight-distribution-kits.aspx Hope that helps.

That's a great video and very useful information. I have one simple question to ask for an RV experienced person like you... suppose I am on a PAN US Trip and down the line 6 months after I felt home sick and bored of RV Travelling.. in short I want a break from RV for about couple of months or a month what is the option left for me? Can I safely leave the Truck and Trailer behind and fly to home?
The first thing that comes to mind is to contract a short term RV storage near your departure city. You will have to pay for the storage, but they will gladly exchange security for your payment. Or, ask your network for referrals to home or land-owners that would consider storing for you, or renting it from you while you are away. In our case, we returned the Bambi to the owner since we rented it for each of the trips prior to purchasing our 30' Globetrotter. Somewhere between the two ideas might be a good solution.
Fantastic video. Finally someone living in a smaller Airstream. So many RUclipsrs living the minimalist RV life but they are all in 25 feet or more. I’m intrigued by the smaller Airstream as I believe you can be much more flexible about where you go and stay compared to a bigger rig. I hope to live the nomad life in a 20’ Airstream. I like that model because of the good size kitchen. A couple questions. Are you full time ? What are your jobs on the road ? I hate the Airstream dinette lol what do you think ? (Would rather a nice couch). The windows in the toilet are a crack up. Light is great, getting arrested using the toilet...not so much lol. Hope to see more videos on your adventure. Check my channel out if you like for some great Australian adventures. Thanks !

I believe it is cast aluminum made in India which becomes questionable for daily use... We keep buying and using them so must not be much of a question as the quality of the coffee's good
This one is a rental. We learned a ton in it, and are looking forward to delivery of our 2020 Globetrotter 27. I can see some appeal of the InTech Sol, but that darn aluminum skin and round-body hooked me as a kid.

Not exactly full time living but more like full time juggling stuff!

How does your Xterra handle the 19' Bambi? I have a 4Runner and looking at getting the same Airstream.
The anti-sway mechanism was superb - it's an Anderson

Hope that helps.
Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks. Glad that you replied. Really appreciate it.
@@rambalram2610 Thanks for your question. I look forward to creating some great insights for you. Thanks for subscribing
Thanks !
Yes we are full-time and have had to go old-school face-to-face with our web tech. Angelina really likes the New Classic because of the separate dining and lounging area.
We'll soon post episode 2 of the full-time experience for your humor! Thanks for commenting.

Tou should have got a front br1 flying cloud. What you got is great for a weak vacation. Full time no thanks
This one is a rental, so we're learning a lot about too small. Our choice is the 27 Globetrotter - maybe by summer! Full time till then... Bambi it is!

You should have bought the 20ft.
What kind of stainless coffee system is that?!!!
www.amazon.com/Bialetti-1168-Express-Export-Espresso/dp/B0019M4H16/
I believe it is cast aluminum made in India which becomes questionable for daily use...
We keep buying and using them so must not be much of a question as the quality of the coffee's good
360MEN thanks! Looks cool lol
Should have got an InTech Sol
This one is a rental. We learned a ton in it, and are looking forward to delivery of our 2020 Globetrotter 27.
I can see some appeal of the InTech Sol, but that darn aluminum skin and round-body hooked me as a kid.
Ok, glad to hear you have another rig coming soon. We just took delivery of our Sol and love it. Happy camping!

Well, I watched about 4-1/2 minutes and came to the conclusion that I couldn't do it !!!
It's definitely a place to start. We're now in a 30' and can hardly believe that we did 3 years in a 19'. Go for where you can start and upscale.
Get the bigger Bambi, easy solution. You can sell the 19' in a day !!!
We're on the last 3 weeks of the Bambi, and moving into a 30' Globetrotter. Yes, we have learned a great deal in our daily resources usage - especially with only a 24 gal grey tank. You can fill that up with just a couple showers! Thanks for watching.
