This is probably the biggest pop tour to be playing on at the moment and it’s great they haven’t got a guy just chopping over everything.

jj11HH “his actual brother “ ? Well that explains it. I mean this with all do respect, I love pocket drummers! I’m a pocket drummer, but you can hear spots where he should do some fills that are above average. Improvise just a lil bit please !! But I love that Bruno keeping it family

I do agree... there were just some empty spots that could've been enhanced with good fills and rolls...
Other than that, you can tell the drummer is pure professional.

There are triggers on this set but please stop believing that you can only reach a good sound with triggers. If you put so much brain and work into a production like this, there are people that know how to make a drum sound like that. Look at the snare for example, sm57 and small condenser on top, one for punch one for clarity. As you can hear in the mix heavily compressed, gated and lots of reverb. Stop explaining everything you cannot reach yourself soundwise with triggers. Those guys are professionals. And yes, there might be songs with a triggered snare in the show but this sound is reachable with a real snare.
@@RolfHering Yeah, but it still sounds like a drum machine. I'm not talking about calfskins on the bassdrum like it's Mel Lewis with his bigband, we're talking about a drum processing that is really too heavy...

Elijah Casten those fills weren’t really that sick though my man 😂 i’ve heard sicker fills for sure. And he is playing pocket, but his pocket somehow is not that musical to me, it sounds kind of boring and non creative to me. Where other drummers add just add a liiiiiittle bit of variation and spice to their pocket to make it sound dope and unique, this guy just plays the basic drum beats every beginner drummer learns to play and he doesnt even play it that tight
@@maxsergeant9934 I agree with you to a point 👌 there are great drummers like Stanley Randolph and Tony Royster jr. That definitely play with that variation and flavor that your talking about as well as more musicality with there fills. While e-panda doesnt play like they do, he keeps it layed back, chill and simple like a strong metronome to benefit the music. He just keeps the beat while all the other musicians and sounds on the song do those extra little things especially when they play live. 👍

@@ephascus8974 No one said that. But when you play in front of 25K+ people with tracks and clicks...! That is not the same game anymore. I'm not saying he plays every note exactly the same or doesn't get carried by the energy of the crowd, but it requires an insane amount of discipline.

His way of playing is very mature. I agree with the other comments that he does the right fills & does not mess it up with chops.
Correct. There are so many crazy advanced drummers that would simply butcher this track if they played on tour with Bruno.
His drumming for the band is absolutely perfectly what it should be.

Its not necesessary play crazy and fast chops all the time, sometimes keeping the time makes u a great drummer.
¿FrancDrums? Less is not always more though... i get your point but in this video it was too much of less is more. And honestly the pocket wasn’t that extremely tight. He was late on a lot of crashes and the feel felt just a tad too laid back for this track. He only played fills before those kicks which is perfectly fine and nice discipline, but it was the same fill every time.
So less is not always more. That will only lead to non-creative drummers that are just not so nice to listen too after a while.
