As a German I can confirm that the Green Line textbook from Klett is a genuine textbook for English classes used in school. ^^ Klett is one of the biggest publishers here for school books.
SO THRILLED to have a year in Tokyo in a language learning book! I am an English teacher in Germany and this IS one out of I believe three we always use and fall back on. This is amazing! ❤❤❤I can't wait to get my hands on it.

Rejection being part of writing is so so true, and honestly true to life. Over the years, you learn to appreciate the rejections - especially if the rejection isn't a mark against your character or ideas, just the timing of them and your preparedness. I used to submit to literary journals, and life got in the way a bit, so I dropped doing that. But now that I'm working my way back into academia, I think I'm going to try to stretch that muscle again this coming school year and see what I can do in the nonfiction essay space, or with literary criticisms. Good luck to you on your writing adventures! (Also, I love that new lamp.)

You see, the German Bundesländer don't all use the same edition textbook because of their different syllabi; so now I'm wondering which edition includes the excerpt from your book.

I fell in love with "musical machines" when I was a child and we visited a museum in St. Louis, Missouri here in the states. Please come to Chicago! Boy do we have a museum for you about an hour northwest of the city. It houses a collection of beautiful machines!

OMG! I'm also starting a new project! I knew 2024 was primarily going to be a revision year for my 3 novels. Novel 1 is on submission. I just sent novel 2 to my agent, and novel 3's outline is with my agent. I've been eager to draft again and while I age a few projects to work on, they aren't calling me. I'm thinking of banging out a short story and novella to get the gears restarted
Have you taken classes on video editing, specific applications to use, etc.? I'd like to learn, but I have no idea where to start, and internet searches leave me completely overwhelmed.

Do you find it challenging to engage with certain author's work after you find out they may have been involved in some unethical or downright illegal and immoral acts? I just found out about the whole Neil Gaiman situation and am having a hard time with engaging with reading anything at all. What are your thoughts?
Doing admin work - I think this is usually replying to emails, organising things, maybe doing some kind of paperwork, spreadsheets etc. I could be wrong, but that's my impression 🤔😅

Notion for structuring daily tasks; Milanote for planning creative projects 😊
Those linebooks are more a requirement. If they aren’t workbooks then you get them at school for your English lessons.
