The scene that is played in twin peaks is my favourite one off scene, the lady being thrown out of the booth is just a weird scene but the lack of empathy feels like the evil spreading through the town
I'm glowing bright, obsidian Axolotl, amphibian Un-elemental chemicals Got me growing six black tentacles A little nightmarish, a little maudlin Good golly go get the kid some laudanum! Salvation's more than I can afford Who needs The Devil when you've got The Lord? Oh my soul Losing control Who built this heart? Oh my God. Now Sister Maggie's coming in fleet-foot Baby's got a belly full of black soot I've got the feeling I'd better just stay put Ah she'll love you better than any real man could An accidental amphibian I'm growing giddy as a Gideon Another head for the chopping board Who needs The Devil when you've got The Lord? Oh my soul Who's in control Who built this heart? Oh my God.
Wow. The music video reminds me so much of the desert scene in episode 8 where the parasite crawled down that woman's throat...or that time DoppelCooper crashed his car in South Dakota and threw up Garmonbozia.
As a semi lucid dreamer, when this was used in Twin Peaks it sort of felt like that feeling when I'm in the middle of a lucid dream / nightmare and the objective of the original "plotline" keeps slipping away and veers off into new directions and I feel a sense of loss and hopelessness, as if nothing will be resolved satisfactory. This was also the vibe I got with the remainder of the season. I don't know if Lynch was going for that sort of mood at all, but knowing his work is heavily influenced by dream logic I wouldn't put it past him.
Pretty twin peaks at the end there with the pool and the tree tho. Which is fitting. Otherwise it's a bit more campy horror then Jodorsowski, but draws inspiration, opening scene feels like it's out of the holy mountain, end scene looks like it's out of twin peaks. it's definitely going for dark surrealism but with a comedy/satire base.
Ever since I got into David Lynch's work I started to notice all these weird coincidences between me and his work. I was so excited for TP: the return, and it's crazy cuz many of the Roadhouse performances were from bands that I either knew for some time or just started listening to before the show aired. So when those songs, like this one, came on I was beside myself.
That was the awful tragedy of the scene, no one around her did anything. How could they not tell a grown woman was crawling between them in such a compact crowd? A lot of us in reality wanted to help her, but no one will help her in her world.
I thought the scene was great, why should biker guys stand while Ruby takes up the entire booth, she wasn't even drinking or eating. If she was really waiting for someone, she would not have crawled around and screamed. You did see later on, the biker guys had their girlfriends join them.
David Lynch is an artist. He recognises art and introduces it to us. I'm actually quite sad to think he might pass way in 20+ years. There's nobody like him. I wish I was a billionaire, so I could give him limitless funds to make movies and tv series with full artistic freedom.
The title suggests Cortazar story but the video in fact reminds me of Jodorowsky's Holy Mountain or Zulawski's Possession. And the live performance of it ended up in Lynch's Twin Peaks occult enough?
the more I watch this mv the more I get out of it. Particularly how religion, christ-like, and martyr figures are abused in imagery as their messages are skewed by individuals in order to take advantage of others, those turning them into something completely different than how they began. It's a cycle.
I'm a huge fan of the Veils but this song well... it's probably one of those songs you have to listen to a few times before you start to like it. Oh and that icon notification sound kept me checking my phone before I realized it's from the song :/
I believe it is - the whole video is an amazing homage to so many movies that it's crazy how good it is - I'm thinking that Lynch himself had something to do with it.
Total callback to "Crazy Clown Time" video. And Glastonbury Grove, of course, is referenced too. Of course we all know now this was the song that was chosen by Lynch for S3. Interesting that the clues were all there.
It's just odd, unorthodox noises --- to add to whatever theme the song is trying to convey, maybe, causing it to be more eccentric than just a trip-hop, witch house type-of-song. Who knows where you're getting "email notification sounds" from, though.

This entire album from start to finish rocks my world. Album of the year.
This isn't a scene of good vs evil. This is evil reclaiming it's own.
So good. So, so good. I hope this is the song Lynch was sharp enough to use in the new Twin Peaks series.
Darling Phenylethylamine It seems this "Axolotl" will feature in one of the new episodes!
Wow. The music video reminds me so much of the desert scene in episode 8 where the parasite crawled down that woman's throat...or that time DoppelCooper crashed his car in South Dakota and threw up Garmonbozia.
You're absolutely right, and it was used to perfection in the best ending to an episode of the series so far.
How did you know it ??? You are Judy , eh ??
but who is the dreamer?:D
I listened to this in Twin Peaks and was like this is dope as Fuck! As a RTJ fan I now know why...

Don't you think that Judy is the power of self destroying gultiness of a silent witness ?
Who is the dreamer ?
Love how El-P is tying back to his early experimental roots. This song bangs
the cheerleader with her attack dog football player boyfriend is *chef's kiss*
Twin peaks ! David has taste indeed !!!!
Twin Peaks brought me hear. Very thankful for that, as Total Depravity and Time Stays We Go are both incredible
Thank you Twin Peaks ❤
Imagery seemingly heavily influenced by a Jordorowsky fan. Adore it!
Pretty twin peaks at the end there with the pool and the tree tho. Which is fitting. This moment in twin peaks is so epic god
Just stopping by the Roadhouse for my nightly drink. What awesome music this place has every night!
Here before this blows up

this song is so underrated
I'm growing giddy as a Gideon.
Very cool song, great performance on Twin Peaks!
Pink Room vibes, is this the origin of the woodsman ^_~ ?
David Lynch - Crazy Clown Time (2nd part)
that's what I thought it was when I first heard it in the show!
Yup! Total homage to that.
OK I kinda understand why I get this when I searched Cute Axolotl Videos

Fuckin A. The Veils are backkkkk.
sounds great at x1.25
I hope someone helps Ruby off the floor.

Roy Baty the point is that they are rude arseholes
they're not bikers. A gathering was taking place in Twin Peaks at that time. Remember the lady honking her horn screaming about being late for dinner?
The other gems probably did.
Twin Peaks hath delivered me here...KCOR STEL!
Red TowersEntertainment Spoken backwards I write it 'Cars Del' - Let's Rock
I can’t find a way to stream their song My House 🥺

good job david lynch you are a GOD! 👍☕☕👍
Lifelong fan of Shriekback. Thanks Finn Andrews for this intriguing song!
What's your fav shriekback song?
The only problem i have got with this song (and the video vision added) is that they are so inequitably short.
The title suggests Cortazar story but the video in fact reminds me of Jodorowsky's Holy Mountain or Zulawski's Possession. And the live performance of it ended up in Lynch's Twin Peaks
occult enough?
this videoclip.. looks like it saying so many things about Twin Peaks
Just like if Lovecraft wrote that song ...
Loving the underwolrd-like sound!!!!
Twin Peaks brought me here. Great stuff!
You definitely can tell this was produced by El-P.
This and Shadows are my favorite from Twin Peaks..
the intro sounds a lot like Guru Cushna & Livin' Spirits - Mind Your Business (the dub)
veils still rockin
What does this have to with the animal
what a banger!
TWIN PEAKS!!
I love this so God damn much.
O M F G!!!!!
Twin Peaks!
Fucking great.
who needs the Devil when you got the Lord?
Wow, something very Jodorowsky-ish about the visuals. The song is, of course, fucking greatness.
Pretty sure El-P samples the mario fireball sound in this
Mario 3 methinks but it's been a minute
OMG AXOLOTL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
oh yep wild types
Twin Peaks
03x15
Don't know if it's been mentioned but that sample at the very end is from Disneyland thrilling chilling sounds of the huanted house album.
0:22 bring your sled all the way up the hill only for it to slide back down
Heard this song on twin peaks and had to check out the video.
David Lynch has amazing taste in music, he needs to post a list of bands to check out every month.
This would have been good for dead island 2 as well

Splendid
good old el-p bring those dope tracks, reminds me of the old days.
the definitive juxtaposition
Got a light ? :p
Is the couple eating.. garmonbozia?
Anyone notice the weird "drop" noise in the background? Sounds like when Mario was "Fire Mario" throwing his fireballs in the NES game.
I'm a huge fan of the Veils but this song well... it's probably one of those songs you have to listen to a few times before you start to like it. Oh and that icon notification sound kept me checking my phone before I realized it's from the song :/
The version in Twin Peaks sounded better IMO.
This video should be a new Lynch's series.
This is kinda terrifying
Twin Peaks.
Is that a Holy Mountain reference?
I believe it is - the whole video is an amazing homage to so many movies that it's crazy how good it is - I'm thinking that Lynch himself had something to do with it.
JustAMacGuffin I was looking to see if anybody else was thinking the same thing!
First thing I thought as well. Good eye, y'all
Total callback to "Crazy Clown Time" video. And Glastonbury Grove, of course, is referenced too. Of course we all know now this was the song that was chosen by Lynch for S3. Interesting that the clues were all there.
The 59 people who didn't like this video are wrong.
anybody notice that woman standing with her face in the shadow right at the end of the credits was creepy as hell.
Well, she was the woman who opened the door for Dark Coop, so... she was creepy in pretty much every scene she was in. ;)
g fox that ain't no woman
Razstar lol actually ur right about that.
I'm waiting for someone...
I wonder if they have a lot of people crawling around on the floor in their concerts 🤭
TWIN PEAKS
El-P all over this!
This music video really speaks to me.
just saw them at the bang bang bar in twin peaks, wa, usa.. were great!
01:05 Participação especial da Dona Florinda

My cats are not what they seem
Who else listened to this at the Roadhouse?
Thanks David
love this song. confused about the random email notification sounds though..

Reuben Pearson probably to stop people ripping the audio and not buying the track.
do you mean the fireflower sound from super mario brothers???
Thank, thought I was the only one who thought it sounds like the mario fireflower sound.
Crazy Clown Time!
Is this about our reliance as a nation on the oil industry?
Anyone reminded of Run The Jewels from the music in the beginning (not the singing at all lol)?
Twin Peaks brought me here
I'm waiting for someone
Please help. Any other artists that make music like this? Similar to this song or Total Depravity in general, other than Bad Seeds?
IAM X
THIS WOULDVE BEEN THE PERFECT OPENING ACT FOR MARILYN MANSON ON HIS BLUESY "PALE EMPEROR" TOUR
Would not have felt out of place in Twin Peaks - Fire Walk With Me or Lost Highway. .
