The reverse light on your tail lights is not meant to improve output from the back of the vehicle. That is an added bonus from some products, but its main function is to indicate to anyone behind the vehicle that you are traveling in their direction. If you are looking to improve your reverse light output it is recommended that you purchase a kit specifically for this. Our partner company Diode Dynamics offers some excellent options!
Sorry to burst your bubble, but reverse lights are also supposed to provide you with enough rearward light that you can see what's behind you in the immediate area. They are also there to let others know that you are backing up.@formlighting
2017 Tacoma OR Unfortunately there's a common start-up sequence fault. If your lights are on Auto, the sequence won't engage. Only when your lights are in the ON position does the sequence "try" to begin. And you must have a remote start. Starting manually won't work on any setting. I spent $500 for a faulty product.

Hey there! If your vehicle is a trim with push to start option, the vehicle itself will cancel the startup sequence when you leave your foot on the brake while starting. It is a safety feature because the vehicle has to cancel to sequence to signal the actual brake.@@ejparcasio
I have 18% tint and can’t see shit out the back window, reverse light is way too small. Was never a problem with stock lights.
