Buy your own standing desk from Flexispot: amzn.to/3PkhDuO (US), amzn.to/44gE7kH (Canada) And as usual, let me know which character you want to see next! I'll also use this to address some of the stuff I've seen in the comments: Broken's physique: Several people have said that the discolored skin Hulk has for that skin is supposed to be a sign of Hulk and Banner either merging together, or the two of them fighting over control of the body. Ignoring the fact that these two explanations are completely contradictory, I did not get that from the game AT ALL. It's been a while since I played it (and I can't be bothered to google it), but I believe that the story flat out states that after the A-Day hearings Bruce turns into the Hulk and remains as such for the rest of the 5 year time skip. So I thought that with Hulk firmly in control, Banner became a non-factor for that period of time. Though when Kamala shows up, Bruce turns back to himself fairly easily. After this point, Bruce is able to transform into the Hulk and back with (what seems to be) no real difficulty. So I never interpreted the skin to mean that there was some sort of internal struggle within Bruce because there never seemed to be any. I also didn't interpret it as them becoming one either, since what does that even mean? Wouldn't the two joining together make them stronger? Not weaker? Also I didn't notice that his left side is smaller than his right. I get what they were probably going for, but it makes it look like he spent the last 5 years doing a lot of... you know... Hulkbuster: Some people have said that my Hulkbuster skin suggestion wouldn't work since Iron Man's Ultimate is the Hulkbuster. I was aware of Iron Man's Ultimate, which is why I suggested using either the comic version or the one from Infinity War. At no point in the video did I suggest re-using the Hulkbuster model that was already in the game. I think this comes from a misconception people have that there is only 1 version of the Hulkbuster suit, which is plainly incorrect. Hulks general physique: Some people have complained that I was incorrect in saying that Hulk should be insanely muscular because he didn't look like that in his earlier appearances. This is just a matter of getting hung up on technicalities. He did look like that in the earlier comics, I even used pictures from those earlier comics for some of the comparisons. HOWEVER, he hasn't looked like that in a long time for a reason. Because it doesn't look as good. Clearly I was referring to the main appearance Hulk has had in recent works, not the stuff from way back when. My error was not fully explaining that I prefer him to look stupidly muscular like how he is in his more modern appearances. Well, I think that's it. Might add to this if more stuff comes up. Thanks for all your comments, they're always a joy to read even if I disagree with them😊
Another problem for the bright green suit is that in the comics his skins highlights are yellow and not white, which helps make the green not look weird, cause you dont just get whiter when in sunlight. So green skin reflects more yellowish (at least sort of), so making it reflect too much white just makes it look weird in a video game
It depends on context, and just how creative you are in general. Trying to apply some realism to a fictional concept can turn out some of the most interesting and compelling fiction. Thomas the Tank engine would be good example, with the author of the original books making every effort to base the stories and histories of his trains on real-world engines. That is how Henry became a misfit engine with an awkward and flawed design (well, that and the original artists kept drawing him wrong), its how the engines gained fears of scrapping and replacement by diesels, it's why there's actual lore for how every single engine from the original books found its way to the island of Sodar (Henry's being one of the most wild*), its how so many of the stories of the original books were inspired, so many being based on things actual trains experienced. About the only fictional element of the OG books and show was the fact the trains talked, everything else was something actual trains could (and in most cases DID) go through. There are also plenty of other examples one could point to, Lord Of the Rings wouldn't be the thing it is if Tolkien had not mixed so much realism into his fantasy universe. The sheer fact he prefaced his book with an essay over the Anglicization of the name of the character Mary says a lot about how much thought went into it. The Expanse would not be anywhere near as interesting as it is if it didn't make as much of an effort to be as realistic a depiction of future space combat and space travel as it could be. Batman year one would not be as compelling of a comic book if the authors hadn't put as much effort into making a realistic and grounded world with a couple creative liberties. In the right context, trying to make everything surrounding your fictional elements as realistic as possible can make some truly impressive shit. Especially when someone takes a fictional concept and starts asking what its existence does to everything else around it.
Even what Devil Hulk looks like on the outside would be a cool skin. The more noticeable veins, the Neanderthal-like face, the hair, and most importantly the creepy glowing eyes. He’s an alt skin/character in a few marvel mobile games and those few changes were actually enough to distinguish him from normal Hulk, so I think it would work here too. Oh and Red Hulk.
@@sam-fr5tc I highly doubt that Tony would have only one model of the Hulkbuster. The model gets broken in almost every single fight, comic, game, movie, or otherwise. Not only that, but Tony makes different busters on the different gamma monsters, so he could make an Abomination Buster.
Honestly, I like the Hulk's physique in this game. Me personally, I love watching powerlifting events, so to me the not-super-shredded look to me shows real powerful aura. But I understand where you're coming from, as he does look less impressive.
Among the various Hulks in adaptations, I personally like the atavistic bent-over physique of the Avengers movie Hulk. He doesn't have the musculature of some other Hulks, but his movement captured the savage part of "savage Hulk".
There was a leak that suggested Red Hulk was planned as a character himself down the line as part of a series of semi clones (before the game shut down, War Machine for Iron Man and Mar-Vell for Captain Marvel were the other two I remember being in that list) I have to believe that was real because otherwise why would Crystal Dynamics not jump on a skin that's just Hulk with the hue slider moved to red?
The Avengers Hulk design is that when he's Bruce Banner he wore purple long sleeves. And when he transforms, portions of the long sleeves turned into wristbands/gauntlets
11:28 The possessed skin looks visually inspired by Venom, especially with the shape of the marking on the chest, since a lot of Venom costumes have had massive white spiders on them. The possessed name makes me think of Baron Samedi, especially due to the face markings, maybe they were shooting for the rough outline of a skeleton instead? The massive paint on the chest could be interpreted as a ribcage.
I would have loved it if they made a good Ultimate Hulk skin. Super short hair, actual gray skin, grotesquely veiny and muscular, tiny blue pants, and his characteristic red and green eyes. Shame there's nothing close to that in the game
The broken skin in the game is actually my favorite I hate the discolored skin and the brown hair but other than that I love the outfit I do wish he had a more hulk like physique but I love the fact that he has longer hair in this skin I love the fact that he has a beard I love the ripped shirt around his wrists and I think that that is something that really should stick around. This is the outfit I use more than any other because conceptually I just really like this suit
Hulk is supposed to have the proportions of a baby. I know it sounds weird, but the best Hulk stories explores Bruce Banner's psychology, his infant traumas with his abusive father etc, and all of these eventually shaped, literally, The Incredible Hulk. When Banner let's his anger takes control, the gamma radiation turns him into a manifestation of his primordial rage, which is why he has baby proportions and even sometimes acts like a chimpanzee. Look closely and you'll notice how he shakes objects like a baby would with their toys, there's even a moment in Ang Lee's film where he shakes a tank like a rattle. So, I personally prefer when Hulk doesn't look like a giant bodybuilder and prefer it that way. The brown hair is indeed kinda bad tho, I like it when it also turns into green.
They changed the Hulk color in the comics because wayyyyyyyy back when.... printing was not as good as today..... so sometimes the grey Hulk would end up being a black smudge in the comic. So they changed the color to green to fix the issue. ;)
I don't mind this Hulk's physique or hair, he actually looks like Bruce. Bruce is a bit soft in the middle and scrawny everywhere else, he'll get the power but not have the muscle develop in a way that doesn't fit his normal body. BUT the fact that it's the base and every single alt doesn't have the larger than life muscle on muscle comic look is where I take issue. The look they use is literally only good for the iconic imo
The 'The Broken' skin is Banner having trouble fully changing to Hulk, that's why there's discoloration and the physique is all screwed up. Cool idea, but it's still a bad skin.
This is the only of your videos I'd have to disagree with physique argument, Hulk actually looks massive and like a total power house, I think the strongman look actually suits him very well and helps to show his more monstruous nature compared to the bodybuilder looking dudes like Thor, the only thnig I think I would add is some more more bulging veins to further sell the monster look.
I hope you keep going with all of the rest of the characters. These videos are great and entertaining and interesting, they are the reason I subbed. I hope you pop off

The basic answer to the Green/grey color thing: The Printer: green is inconsistent. Stan: why? The Printer: because we don’t use it because it’s inconsistent.
The StarkTech outfit commits the cardinal sin of covering Hulk's knuckles with something. Tony, brother, he's gonna punch through whatever "protective" handgear you give him in seconds.
3:54 thank you so much for saying that. I just don’t understand why would u make hulk look like a big gorilla when u could make him like the 2008 Hulk, honestly to me that’s what hulk should look like.
In defense to why Hulk's "Broken" skin, I'm pretty sure its deformity is because of Hulk being more depressed than angry. Ms. Marvel and Bruce talk about it early in the story, which Bruce says Hulk wasn't the same since Cap died. So while he is mostly still himself, big and green(ish), but isn't fully green or has all his muscle because he isn't as angry as he should. I agree that being badly designed on purpose shouldn't normally a factor to give a bad design, but I like this one a lot and it stands out to me. My only gripe is that this should be the only skin with brown hair. Also, Hulkbuster is an ability for Tony, which he can give to others if holding the combo to activate instead of tapping. Having a mini-hulkbuster getting into the actual Hulkbuster would be a bit weird.
The Enigma force is in fact the god of light, and it is no longer locked in a war with Knull, but now it's locked inside of Eddie Brock, entangled with the Codex of symbiotes inside of him as one. Permeantly making Eddie Brock the King In Black, a literal god.
with the king hulk skin you should have given them a 2 or a 1.5. give them a little credit for at least trying. but i saw the comic art and the art from the comics looks so much more cool then anything in the game.
How can you say he supposed to look like a bodybuilder, not a power lifter then you show the most early depictions of the hulk with the physique of a power lifter?
He literally explained why he understands why they did it. Did you actually watch the video? He also never said that he was supposed to look like a bodybuilder. He even references 2008's Hulk as what is preferred, which many people attribute to being the best interpretation of Hulk. He also shows plenty of depictions that show the Hulk much more muscular, and at times dwarfing the game's Hulk. So again, did you even watch the video?
The green skin wasn't cheaper. The printer had problems with the grey color. In some panels hulks was light or dark grey, man....even pure white or black!!! 😅
I don't mind that Hulk's physique looks like a Powerlifter because it's such a stark (haha) contrast to how he initially starts. He starts as a dude, just a regular guy in Bruce Banner. Imagine how painful it would feel to go from a 5'9 128 pound guy to being almost double the height and over 10 times the weight. It doesn't matter to me if he looks like a Powerlifter, because he looks genuinely strong. Edit: There is no in-canon explanation as to why Doc Green went away. The Hulk stories were building towards Doc Green Hulk either becoming or fighting Maestro Hulk (the reason why he was trying to cure all Gamma Heroes was to prevent Maestro from happening) Storyline just ran out of time Edit 2: There actually is precedent for the Hulk and Hawkeye being connected. Before the Civil War 2 Storyline, Hawkeye was instructed by Bruce Banner that if he (Bruce) ever looked like he was about to transform into the Hulk again (at the time, Bruce had the radiation sucked out of him into Amadeus Cho) that Hawkeye should kill him.
Yeah, I am aware of the whole Civil War 2 thing where Hawkeye killed Banner. I am also aware of the Old Man Logan story that happened shortly after, where present day Hawkeye teams up with Logan to fight Maestro. HOWEVER, none of this context is presented in the game. I don't think Clint even speaks to Bruce before or after going to the future. So while the story in the game might be a reference to these things, it still feels incredibly awkward and random without the surrounding context.
I don’t know why but I fucking love this series. I don’t like the Avengers game at all and logically I shouldn’t have any interest in this but your voice is so nice to listen to
Crystal Dynamic: "So we want to keep our Hulk design based in reality, just so it's more immersive." Marvel fans (including me): "HE'S A LARGE GREEN MAN!!!"
15:03 god working at a comic shop when this came out was frustrating. I think the first issue came out and then the rest of series was delayed by years because Lindelof kept putting off writing it
Im just curious. Whats your take on the MCU hulk's design? I personally like it because it's realistic but also hulking. A mix of hulking and ripped would be ideal for me though. Just wondering.
The broken hulk skin is it just me or is his left peck where the discoloration is smaller like it didn't grow and transformer completely because it bugging me and I'm not even sure it really a thing .
I hate to be that guy but wrestling is a team sport. You have individual tournaments where it's just one wrestler in a team in a bracket. You also have duals where it's one team versus another and there is one match per each weight class. I'm not trying to be rude I'm kinda a shut in nerd too
The worst part of Hulk's Broken skin is that his physique is unbalanced, his right pec is bigger than his left one, and his left arm is thinner than the right arm.

Restricting yourself to realism/being realistic kills creativity and this game is a good example of that as it had so much potential.

The Enigma force is in fact the god of light, and it is no longer locked in a war with Knull, but now it's locked inside of Eddie Brock, entangled with the Codex of symbiotes inside of him as one. Permeantly making Eddie Brock the King In Black, a literal god.
Honesty I think the less toned build is pretty good for gray Hulk since he's often depicted as having softer features than savage Hulk.
with the king hulk skin you should have given them a 2 or a 1.5. give them a little credit for at least trying. but i saw the comic art and the art from the comics looks so much more cool then anything in the game.
Imagine if they had added infernal hulk as well (Without being lazy ofc) just how cool it would have been
20:01 professor hulk was a warhammer fan. I mean come on look at the size of those guns he weilding.
14:08 Ok I know it can’t be just me- in the screenshot of the skin the lamppost looks like an arrow stuck right in his head.
U should do this kind of skin rankings for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy game (2021)
19:21 nice msm:mm reference there.
BABE WAKE UP DORITO GOD DROPPED A NEW SKIN REVIEW
Is that rooftop run in the background?
How can you say he supposed to look like a bodybuilder, not a power lifter then you show the most early depictions of the hulk with the physique of a power lifter?
This guy just seems so weird throughout the video. Stumbled upon this video
Congrats on the sponsor big man
God of war 3 song the start of Legendary suits
Now this was the one I was really waiting for!
The Hulk stories were building towards Doc Green Hulk either becoming or fighting Maestro Hulk (the reason why he was trying to cure all Gamma Heroes was to prevent Maestro from happening)
Storyline just ran out of time
Edit 2: There actually is precedent for the Hulk and Hawkeye being connected.
“What did he do, work out so hard that his hair fell out?”
Saitama: I mean…it works😅
i love your content and i would love to see you keep up with the great work.
I don’t know why but I fucking love this series. I don’t like the Avengers game at all and logically I shouldn’t have any interest in this but your voice is so nice to listen to
Sometimes i wonder if they just tried to colour the models from memory or if someone on the team was colourblind
Crystal Dynamic: "So we want to keep our Hulk design based in reality, just so it's more immersive."
Marvel fans (including me): "HE'S A LARGE GREEN MAN!!!"
They should’ve made a Lou ferro(forgot his name) skin. Would’ve been hilarious
11:01 looks like Santa Hulk to me.
21:35 nah he shook a continent just by standing still. Taking a single step caused America to break apart
24:43 bruh that one has the boot spikes al they had to do is put it on the main one
How about rating Marvel's outfits in other games like Fortnite? I'd love to see a video like that
Next one needs to be Black panther
15:03 god working at a comic shop when this came out was frustrating. I think the first issue came out and then the rest of series was delayed by years because Lindelof kept putting off writing it
29:15 Ikr even Iron Man has a War Machine skin even though it belongs to Rhodey so that rule about the Canon is more dumb
13:05 BRUH THE EDIT IS 10X BETTER MY GOD.
Im just curious. Whats your take on the MCU hulk's design? I personally like it because it's realistic but also hulking. A mix of hulking and ripped would be ideal for me though. Just wondering.
It's pretty good
he looks like green ryu in the timeskip outfit
I... literally just rewatched your old suit vids lmao
11:37 he hit that
I didn’t even bother to get the other costumes cuz of how much they costed
14:09 I thought the radiation gave him cancer😂😂
Love this series
Sometimes they also make Hulk's hair dark green.
no red hulk is CRAZYYYYY literally just make him red, even if the base they're using sucks it's cheap and easy
The broken hulk skin is it just me or is his left peck where the discoloration is smaller like it didn't grow and transformer completely because it bugging me and I'm not even sure it really a thing .
he looks like a mod for a fallout 4 super mutant
I hate to be that guy but wrestling is a team sport. You have individual tournaments where it's just one wrestler in a team in a bracket. You also have duals where it's one team versus another and there is one match per each weight class. I'm not trying to be rude I'm kinda a shut in nerd too
Love your videos great work every time
Bruh did you use rooftop run from sonic
I mainly use 1m bc skin or volcanic
The worst part of Hulk's Broken skin is that his physique is unbalanced, his right pec is bigger than his left one, and his left arm is thinner than the right arm.
