This week, Newslaundry’s Abhinandan Sekhri, Raman Kirpal and Shardool Katyayan are joined by senior journalists Andrew Whitehead and Nirupama Subramanian.
On the possible rationale behind UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s decision to go for early polls, Andrew says that it’s a question that “even his fellow conservatives are asking because the polls were strongly against Sunak”.
Nirupama says that India’s relationship with the UK will change on the basis of the poll results. “If labour comes back with a huge majority, and with Prime Minister Narendra Modi not having the same majority here…the bargaining power of India in its trade talks will be affected.”
On the NEET controversy, Abhinandan says he has received many requests to cover the issue in comparison with the farmer protests. Shardool says, “One possible reason is that doctors have access to you and poor farmers don’t.” Raman points to the scale of the controversy and says that nearly 23 lakh students took the NEET exam this year. “If we consider their families, the affected population would go into crores.”

It was Clement Atlee's Labour Party which supported and allowed the Independence of India.
It was Churchill's Conservative party which taxed us massively to fund UK for the 2nd world war.
Sunak is a part of those same Conservatives, he's not pro-India at all like how the India RW projects him, he's rather a pro-Monarchy, pro-colonialism, anti-3rd world politician.
Pro colonialism- what nonsense! Kuch bhi bak do, just like Godi media of India.
Can't expect bhakts to think more
@@DesiAbroadUK u do realize that a lot if Indians were pro colonialism during british raj right? Most of them went and settled in UK itself. A lot of them hold positions of power still.
@MayankYadav-eh6eg and a very high chance that they an be in labour party as well. Coming up with nonsense like Rishi is pro colonial is total rubbish.
@@DesiAbroadUKSunak is a lapdog of white British conservatives who have historically despised Britain's former colonies.
Indians need to realize that Rishi Sunak is not Indian at all. He is British. What happens in England is up to them. And good luck to them. England is an amazing nation and has amazing culture and London is probably the best city in the world.
Amazing culture are u sure
@@mohammedfarhan6893 yes I’m sure. British people are amazing and their culture is amazing. Don’t be a hater and think somehow your culture is superior. Everyone’s culture is same level
Ok respect to Britain culture

Abhi you really disappointed me by getting confused over NEET and NET. Not sure if you did that deliberately or really because of your shear ignorance.
Well there will be people to defend that not everything needs to be learnt and Abhi was brave enough to ask this question without any shy, but really? Doesn't the topic needs some ground work?
Every human being has 9 days in a month when they perform with excellence. Understand when it isn't your public reputation gets star and you willbe under the spot light of public grace... Yesterday I had not.. sorry India... God bless all ...
