    • @bighands69
      @bighands69 5 лет назад

      Modern cars are not safer. People have been deceived. Those car crash tests have only been done at about 50 km/h. People at an average are driving far faster today than in the past with people routinely doing 80 km/h as a cruising speed which is 60% faster than the actual testing speeds.
      SO while it is true that modern cars when driven at the same speeds as cars 30 years ago would be safer it becomes relevant when it is considered that drivers are going at higher speeds today.

I know that we got a few of those 16 valve turbo Cossie engines, but I don't remember in what. Usually we got the turd 2.3 8 valve turbo that came in the Thunderbird Turbocoupe. Imagine that, a car that weighs 3380 lbs with a 190 hp 240 lb ft 4 cylinder...wow...at least it came with a manual trans. I've driven them many times and they never failed to disappoint.

    When I did my 2 weeks work experience at school I went to the local tuning company. Last day the owner took me out in a white sapphire cosworth and absolutely shit me up, that was a scary fast car in 1994!

    Love this car, tho it's bitter sweet. My dad's mate had one, in 1997, me, my dad and him went the pub in it. The bar man's son (18) was begging for a go. Within about 500 meters he lost it, and hit a solid concrete bollard. He didn't make it.
    Lovely car it was, a sapahie RS Cosy, in a deep maroon. A real sleeper. Nicked the owner sideways for a few years.

    Dude, what kind of blow off valve does this car have? I have a Tial Q50 bov on my built Civic and I love the way this bov sounds.

      Boosted B Series EK
      I don’t think it has one, that’s just the wastegate noise from high boosting turbo!
