- This 1967 Crusher Camaro has done EVERYTHING. It’s been around since 1994 and has been seen in HOT ROD magazine and on Roadkill and HOT ROD Garage. But now Freiburger and Dulcich have their hands on it, and they want to fix it up with a retro engine and set it up to set new top speeds at the drag strip. Will it work? I can't believe this car is still around. I've been reading articles in Hot Rod about it since I was in my early teens and I'm 41 now.
Agreed... love that it's still around, it's been around since 1994 I believe... I'm 39 now, started reading hot rod as an adolescent around '95/'96 probably and I remember HRM doing stories on this car since way back.

I love this show! Bring me back to when I was a kid helping my stepfather rebuild his 64 chevy2 nova with a 383 stroker under the powerbarn. Sadly he passed away when I was 16 but I hope to keep his memory alive and do with my daughter what I look back on the most in my love and my fondest memories with him!!
That camaro is one of my favorite builds...everytime.

On a TV that has 3D sound I had to look around my house because I thought the car was on my livingroom 😂😂 that's a beast of a car!!!!
My TV seems to throw the sound sometime so it sounds like something is behind me. Kinda makes me jump and look around from time to time.

Still miss Finnegan and the free episodes but I'll take the free 13-minute clip.

This car reminds me of the old PHR project X 57. It's had everything put in it new and old. Great to see it in old school trim again.

Thank you for putting the Crusher back to a proper configuration and getting rid of the LS and rubber band tires! Yeah, you could go faster with a LS and turbo but this car deserves to stay old school. The only thing better would be running a M22.

I saw 'crusher camaro' and thought, they still have that car? I first saw it in the magazine years ago. Man talk about raw brutal horsepower. And I'm not even crazy bout those cars, but wish I had that one.
Cured my SBC sparkplug vs header problem by finding shorter plugs in the same heat range.

Just learned something hope I can keep my headers white. What do ya do if you got to also break In a new flat tappet cam and your header are shoehorned in.
You can cure them with a heat gun or torch...off the car..so when you keep the rpms up it doesnt burn the coating off.

@@alecb8509 I don't know if it was entirely their choice. IIRC, they ran into money issues a few years ago, got sold to/bought by Discovery Channel. Discovery Channel figured they were putting too much stuff out for free, and hence why we now have their streaming service (that also has shows from Discovery).

We’re can you get this? Question you need a threaded fitting in handle and longer clear hose my friend said otherwise a great tool to do that job guys.
I assume its a blueprint engines 400 considering it had their logo cast into the block.

I work on heavy trucks. I've taken hundreds of bolts off engines with a impact. Head bolts,main caps, rod caps,etc. Do all that by hand on a ISX and you'll need a shoulder replacement.
No bad impacts! Only bad techs.
Back in the day a friend of mine had a Yellow and Orange with Yellow and Orange Bubbles down the Sides.
Put a Power Glide 2spd in that Yellow Camaro

Can anyone tell me what the coating on the header is?
If you want your Chevy to go faster, you hang a fishing pole off the front bumper with a Ford body part dangling from it. The Chevy will give all it's got to eat that Ford, and will go faster. Knocks about 1 second off your time.
Dulcich doesn't remember the Engine Masters episode where they bashed the headers ridiculously and it didn't kill a single horse power?

Except it didn't. It had an LS engine, twice in its history. In fact, the engine they took out was an LS3.

Make sure you're looking under Roadkill Garage, not Roadkill. (The first 2 clips are from season 2, the 3rd clip is from season 4.

You could just buy ceramic coated spark plug wires and you wouldn't have to bash the header. Just a thought.
putting dents in the headers? obstructing exhaust flow? not good even at the smallest level
