because, well idk about you but im loyal to rage and this just seems like a rip off. it sounds good but this should have just been in a new rage album when they come back together. i get that there is audio slave and prophets of rage but its just different. zach left. the rest of the band didn't. so when I hear this I just hear Zach and wishing he would have never left. but im glad he did because audioslave and prophets of rage kickass. so I love Zach and all but I just think that he didnt have a right to start doing his own thing after leaving Rage the way he did
I get where you’re coming from, for me tho, he basically said he left because all they did was bicker over every little detail, the bass player seems like he’s a hard dude to get along with. As a guy who played in bands I can understand one person not wanting to be in a shitty situation that never changes 🤷🏽♂️
@@aceofspades38 well, first off, this couldn’t be on a rage album because neither of the two dudes playing the music have anything to do with them. Brad Wilk is a great drummer and all but he couldn’t hold this dude’s jock if we are being real (and before you try and defend your favorite band or some shit, do yourself a favor and just read about who Jon Theodore is and what his reputation is. It’s not even a question, no disrespect to Brad, who’s a great drummer in his own right, but this dude is among the 4 or 5 best rock drummers in the entire world. And other than live drums and zdlr, no relation to rage whatsoever. And I think that’s a good thing. Rage ran its course and this was something fresh and refined and fucking powerful as fuck with nothing but a distorted electric piano and some drums with Zach doing what he does over it. I would take this over new ratm every single time.
@@aceofspades38 and I think it’s funny that a dude that loves ratm saying he doesn’t think Zach De La Rocha has a “right” to do what he wants to do.
I would pay good money to see some dude from RUclips comments tell ZDR what rights he has concerning what he can and can’t do.

03/29/2022--I wonder if Zack travels to Morocco, as the chorus in this one has shades of tribal chants/music in it, and I know this song definitely condemns all western religions, perhaps from the view of all Eastern religions and vice versa, where Zack presents an 'argument' between the 2==BRILLIANT!

05/27/2022---I like the way Zack cut that drummer off! If he hadn't , it could have been another Moby Dick (which sounds like a cross between a car engine and a government printing press=migraine aneurysms) in the making, and one of those is more than enough. Who ever heard of a drum solo speaking before the vocalist? The drums belong in the background, thus backing Zack's message up, but in reality, I say the drummer is fighting/arguing with Zack.---

Nah. This is unique and killer as is. If you want that just go listen to Rage Against the Machine. Sure, Wilk isn’t quite Jon Theodore, but he’s hardly bad.
This was its own thing and it rules. And the lack of guitar allows Theodore to really stretch out and play
