I wouldn't necessarily call any of these voices spot-on it's just he hits their inflictions and it makes it sound really cool. They don't necessarily sound like the singer but they have like the tone, idk regardless they sound good just not exactly like them
Ricky Van and I thoroughly enjoyed watching this! We are BIG supporters of Levi and his music, especially his original songs! They are fantastic...and Levi is a great performer, a good friend and a fantastic songwriter! We were hoping he would do at least one of his originals! Thanks Bigdandbubba for sharing this with us!
I agree waylons excact voice is hard to impersonate, but as far as style of singing and the Guitar strummint I think he was pretty dead on. Fly high Hoss!
Absolutely stunning - I would actually buy this on iTunes if you did a full 20-25 set of this interpretation!!!!!! One of the best things I’ve heard in so long man!!!!!!!!!
Levi's definitely a great musician, and this stuff is hilarious! Thanks for discovering and sharing his talent with us. If I may return the favor: I do have to take issue with the statement that there's nobody else doing this. I'm a big fan of Mike Rayburn, who has been doing this off and on over the last couple of decades. It started when he was playing bars; drunks would shout requests faster than he could play them, so he'd pick two and sing one singer's hit song in the other's style and voice. One of my favorites is "Bob Marley does Garth Brooks." As he says (and as you mentioned near the end of this video), if you love either of these guys, you're going to hate it! 😉 I also highly recommend "Dan Fogelberg does AC/DC" (and the reverse, "AC/DC does Dan Fogelberg"), as well as "Led Zeppelin does Dr. Seuss". You can find these and more on RUclips, or on his Carnegie Hall album. Thanks again for sharing some laughter with me and my family!
About 30 years ago, I started compiling a list of "Fantasy Cover Versions of Some of my Favorite Songs." Since you seem like you could relate to that idea, I would really appreciate it if you wouldn't mind singing the Genesis song "I Can't Dance" in the style of Hank Williams.
Levi you are so talented a couple of thoughts came to mind you could do some duets with some of the people you mimic if they are still around but sing as another artist i think that would be cool merle haggard used to do it i watched him do that with marty robbins merle did johnny cash and marty robbins even elvis did the same to johnny cash and joihnny cash to elvis in a way thats a complement showing that they both liked there music.
2:20 when he breaks while saying "walls" and laughs but it sounds exactly when cash laughed in live recordings... that's the craziest part of this video for me, just nuts, wether it was on purpose or not. If you cut that laugh and asked me where it's from, i would have said it's from live at Folsom album, and I would have put money on it
What comes to mind right now is, in that album, when johnny sings the long black veil and gets to the part where it says "I'd been in the arms of my best friend's wife" and the inmates start laughing and so does he. But there's probably a ton of moments like that, especially in those albums
Richard Cheese does something similar but he does all kinds of songs in a lounge jazz style, he should make a career out of this I love it myself he's awesome.
Wow I was expecting them to be funny, but I was not expecting his impressions to be as absolutely SPOT ON as they were. That's an incredible talent!
Bc they put the voice in to make it sound exact
they are not Spot on his Johnny Cash was Okay but not spot on
I wouldn't necessarily call any of these voices spot-on it's just he hits their inflictions and it makes it sound really cool. They don't necessarily sound like the singer but they have like the tone, idk regardless they sound good just not exactly like them
I got chills as Johnny Cash was singing the Wrecking Ball chorus. Incredible!
I hear hints of Jim Reeves and Marty Robbins, too.
But I'd buy a studio version of that Wrecking Ball without anyone making him laugh.
More than the actual impressions, his rearrangements are fantastic!
Holy Cow, I would love a whole concert of these covers!
He needs to do Ricky Van
@@CarharttCowboy ive been around this guy for years! He kills Ricky Van!
Lol I couldn't stop laughing when Cash sang "wrecking ball". This man has talent!
I would pay to have that version of Wrecking Ball in my playlist
He nailed Johnny Cash & was very close with Willie. But Waylon had a voice & style that can't be copied.
Listen to Paul Cauthen's voice, he is as close as I've seen. He does not try to impersonate.
He kind of sounded like younger Waylon, but yeah, that one needs work. He sounded more like Elvis. Johnny Cash and Willie were awesome though.
I agree waylons excact voice is hard to impersonate, but as far as style of singing and the Guitar strummint I think he was pretty dead on. Fly high Hoss!
The only thing wrong with Waylon impression is he vocal vibrato. It's too fast and dominate. But he's fun.
Yeah the Waylon one was not that great. Sounded good, just not Waylon. First album Waylon if any, like on Jole Blon. Cash was spot on.
I was laughing the whole time. Not because it's funny, because it's just insane how good and unique and awesome this is! Love it!
He laughed in character though :)
😂 I can't help but laugh, Levi is pretty good. And I can't wait to see the second show. Spin the wheel😂
I love that his impression are of the younger versions. He’s amazing.
I love how he not only applies the style to the lyrics but also a whole new tune in framing that matches the lyrics to the artist.
Absolutely stunning - I would actually buy this on iTunes if you did a full 20-25 set of this interpretation!!!!!!
One of the best things I’ve heard in so long man!!!!!!!!!

I need the full songs dude you gotta keep going!
Need to do a Dwight yokum sings "I like big butts"

Ok that would be awesome but much like Waylon, Dwight has a voice and style that can't be copied.

Randy Travis singing Lights by Journey. 😮😂
Just like Merle haggard with the voice impressions he would do. This is awesome
Sturgill simpson did an awesome cover of in bloom.
I almost died when he did I Want it That Way by Willie Nelson! LOL wow! Such talent!
He did a cover of Sturgill Simpson I requested…found him through the George Jones cover…dude is ridiculously talented
Utterly brilliant. What a talent. As was mentioned not just superb impressions it was the skilled arrangements. Excellent!
This makes me really happy. Thank you
I got chill bumps on my arms hearing you sing Johnny Cash. You sound just like him!
I like these versions so much better than the originals
Holy $hit!!!! Amazing! I literally searched Bad Romance + Johnny Cash. Perfect!
WOW! That Johhny Cash impression is incredible!!
That was a beautiful version of Dance with Somebody. I know it's a parity, but it was beautiful.
He looks so much like one of my best friends. Its so nice to see him smiling so genuinely.
I agree i would go to a concert of just his covers and wouldnt be mad of his orignal stuff mixed in!
That is so freaking GOLD...
Sounds like they could've been on the radio back in the day
Levi's original music is fire 🔥
Amazing. I will buy your album in a heart beatX the mash ups are awesome
He'd be a lot of fun at a party!
His Waylon had hints of Colter in there which was pretty cool
Gotta have Johnny Cash singing Dare to be Stupid by Weird Al. Or Anderson even. In a country style
Levi is a very good impressionist!
Wrecking Ball... was excellent
That was great. I loved it.
impression music show with a quickchange act would be fire

Dance with somebody was actually beautiful!
This is freaking amazing
I think his Waylon sounds like Johnnny Hortn
Man... the waylon bit got me yall.
Met Johnny Cash in Memphis Tn airport one evening long time ago.. he was very nice and very talkative to me.
How can someone be that good at those voices
I never liked the song "Wrecking Ball" .... UNTIL now!!!
This is like the country music version of Post Modern Jukebox.
Outstanding, new fan of his. Thanks😊
Omg. How? He sounds amazing
OMG, I like his Johnny Cash emulation allot. It's so good in all these emulations.
Brandon Styles at OWA in Orange Beach. Al does a lot of impressions. He can do everyone. Levi is good
We luv Levi Foster Music!!!
I feel like this guy should be rolling a booger in a Cadillac!
This is so brilliant!
Go go Levi!!!!
This made my day.
4 JACKIES...Thanks Chris....fantastic..😊
The arrangements are awesome, but his voice reminds me more of Elvis.

He's very entertaining
This is gold!
I really like this guy absolutely awesome
OMG I love this so much
Merle Haggard was famous for his musical impressions too.
Amazing!
That is incredible unbelievable talent 😮😊
Fricken amazing 👏
He's amazing
Love'm,keep them coming!😅
This guy needs to carry the Legacy.
He’s so good
Wrecking Ball is unreal❤
He did this to get people to see his original music but that's all out the window now. He'll always be known as the covers guy
Merle Haggard was a great impressionist
I LOVE THIS!!!!❤
He sings with vibrato with all his voices. Not all those singers sing that way.
I didn't think he was anywhere close with Waylon.
ruclips.net/video/IRhkxI3i67o/видео.html
Yall check out my brother Jeff Lambert,, he's really good plus has his own songs too
WOW! Just WOW!
The UAM hat made me do a double take
That’s amazing
Well done Levi(?)!
Richard Cheese does something similar but he does all kinds of songs in a lounge jazz style, he should make a career out of this I love it myself he's awesome.
