I mean, I understand the thing with Ekaterina and that it's better if people learn the trick correctly, but the rest of the tutorial? These other effects are damn strong, was there any other reason you reveal them?

If the only way you're able to entertain people is by doing tricks that haven't been revealed...then you're not really an entertainer.
Everyone in the world knows about the silk in the thumb tip and the French drop coin vanish. A talented magician can still perform those tricks and entertain people.

Blame Ekat for that, I guess it’s because so many magicians are on RUclips teaching effects that aren’t theirs, and therefore magicians are performing them the wrong way, the smartest thing to do in this instance is to release the tutorials (with the creators permission of course) so at least if people want to learn on RUclips, they’re going to learn it correctly.

Divorce and Justin's 'pull through' is one of the most exposed magic tricks out there on Insta/TikTok/YT Shorts - and they all teach it badly. It's giving magic a bad name.
At least by us 'shooting the hostage' we can take away their power and take views away from those bad teachers.... and the by-product is that new magicians to the art can learn it PROPERLY from the creator themselves.

I've seen ring thru finger thought by many people online for sure but have not all the phases of divorce anywhere, so that part is a little disappointing as I do love performing it, and is a bit of a shame after many people paid for it.
@@ellusionist so because one trick in the routine is heavily exposed you just decided to expose the whole routine? Again makes zero sense. Also you have the Magicstream platform where you can make this effect free to learn on but you didn’t do that which is curious.
It feels like you’re grasping at straws to grow your relevance again. The thing that made Ellusionist special was always the behind the scenes content of what the team was doing.
Releasing a bunch of old material for free on RUclips won’t grow a real following it’ll grow a following from those looking for free magic which doesn’t necessarily convert into sales.
The personal brand of behind the scenes content would serve you better and help your audience to get to know and trust you again.
…but what do i know, Geraint Clarke is a genius marketer who is infallible so I’m sure there’s some big idea behind this.

idk why so much people complain about you revealing it. This magic has already been exposed and its no longer worth to buy (because its exposed).
I love E but this is unethical. It being exposed elsewhere is a weak excuse. I would never have imagined E would do this. If they’re low on content they could have gotten more juice for the squeeze by teaching 2 of the effects here as separate videos (the pinky and french drop to ring finger). Two videos that still incentivize purchasing the full routine. It makes no sense to expose the ring on the shoulder which requires seasoned misdirection thereby warranting a deeper learning session. This just feels like well-produced empty exposure with complete disregard for past customers. I don’t see how it’s not. If customers can’t get refunds once they purchase a secret than the vendor shouldn’t be sharing it with the world. Full stop. I’d be very upset if I’d bought this. It’s not even like they received a gimmick. I love BC and JM but this makes me wonder why I’d buy anything from E moving forward with this precedent.
I can’t imagine refunds are in order (they’re in no way legally bound to keep secrets) but I believe E should give everyone who bought this effect and reaches out upset ample store credit.

Giving away a product people paid their hard earned money to learn. Giving it to laymen for free, ruining the effect for your customers, and using the excuse that its better to teach RUclips viewers the real method, rather than them learning it wrong. How about they PAY for it like everyone else did? You plan on refunding your customers who paid for this?

Keep in mind, laymen aren’t watching Ellusionist videos or on magic websites. If anything, he’s helping get more people into magic with a low barrier to entry. Plus, Divorce was released like 10 years ago and was only a $5-10 download and it’s his own trick to release for free if he wants. I think Justin is justified here… Justinfied? Lol
