I would make the string burn as long as I want to but without damaging it and then make it suddenly vanish, apperar around the spectators arm and revealing something.

I’d make the string go in 1 ear 👂, out my nose 👃, back in my nose and the out my other ear 👂 😳 ... kinda gross huh 🤔

I would love to do a version of the Indian rope trick by having the string stand vertically solid upwards with an object tied at the top. Then ( as if by magic ) the object disappears and reapears somewhere else. Not sure if there is an actual trick like this though.
You are amazing Jay and I would love to get back into magic someday ( my dad was in the Magic Circle in the UK ) when I have a bit more time

If I were to perform magic with just a piece of string, I would wanna find a way to make it seemingly grow in my hands without any other string added to it or turn string into a deck of cards. I haven't seen either effect before so it would be interesting to perform.

This is a gem. I've fooled some of my most magic-wise friends with this. It's all about making the two crossing actions look just the same; no delay when you steal the ring with the second one. Nice and smooth; not rushed, not slow, just steady and even. That way it's a complete fooler. Thanks, Jay!

Very interesting. My grandfather worked on the same stage as Houdini back in the days of Vaudeville. I grew up with "magic" and in school performed on stage during variety shows. I haven't done it in over 50 years, pretty much had forgotten about magic. But you piqued my interest in it again. Thanks. I'm definitely subscribing to your channel.

Anything with strong?I would like to show a piece of string, thread something, such as a ring or hoop on the string, then with a magic gesture, cause the string to become rigid(like a vertical pole)and then for the ring to magically climb up the string(ala Indian rope trick)and possibly spring off the top of the string and be caught in your hand.It would be most effective if it were a borrowed ring or bangle etc)That could be a great trick especially if performed seemingly as an impromptu routine for only a few people.Love your stuff,Bob,so keep them coming!

In my trick I would wind a fairly long length of string twice around my neck and then get volunteers to hold each end. I would then cover the string around my neck with a scarf and then tell the volunteers to slowly but steadily pull the string. When it becomes fully tight, I would take a couple of steps back, free from the string, leaving the scarf hanging on the center of the string.

I'm a computer and network technician by trade, so if I had supernatural powers, the string trick I would do (I'm assuming "rope" could qualify as string) would definitely be the Professor's Nightmare. You always run into a situation where a cable is way too long or just too short. It'd be handy to be able to take 1 long cable, cut it into 1/3's and end up with 3 equal lengths of cable.
If rope doesn't meet the definition of string for the sweepstakes, then my string trick would be self-tying shoe laces. I mean, I work IT for a school system, so....mindblowing meets practical yet again :)

PS: Why are we doing the wave over the fist or say stuff like Abra Cadabra? I heard it's from back in those days when the priests held services in Latin, and they said something very similar in Latin while doing "priest stuff" and people didn't understand it and it became something one said when doing something "magical".
