This is what I love about magic, my brain is like 🤯 yet the trick is so simple but really effective, thank you for sharing, I am so practicing this, Going to blow some minds!!! Thanks again!!!
Good thing I've played plenty of guitar and built independence and some fitness on fingers for baseline. Love how smooth this really is. Even after you showed how it's done, the act was so smooth that you stole it right under the noses again and again. Because you made it so natural to bring the hands together. Part of it is "talking with your hands", as in being emotive when you speak and having it come naturally. I figured there's a pretty neat sequence if you do this and then act surprised it isn't in the hand you put it in, point at it with your finger (the coin still hidden in the pointing hand) and put the coin back in that palm at the same time as you curl it closed and move your pointer finger to your nose ore scratching your temple in confusion. Then you figure it out that of course it must be in your pointing hand, open it and act even more surprised, look at your closed fist in disbelief and open it up to find that the coin actually IS there like you put it.
Why can't people just comment anything positive instead of just saying corny dumb jokes like they're trying to do stand up at a nursing home or something it's annoying
I always clipped it with my pinky and ring finger and had times where I got hung up. Never even considered clipping with the other two lol, thanks. This may help me be cleaner now, thanks 👍!
I do these kinds of tricks to students that are not in my class for them to try to speak English here in Thailand.. never fails. Thanks for this one trick.
This is my first trick. My kids are going to love it. Im actually working on showing both hands empty and then placing it back in my hand for a reveal.
Hahaha, so that’s how it works! 😂 You explained it so well, but I would have definitely fallen for it a few more times. (In Germany, we’d call you a "Schlingel" or "Schlawiner" 😂😂😂) There's a great mix of good vibes and friendliness here, thanks for that 🐾🐾
Hey Pete! Wonderful job again. I learned this many years ago & I can't remember from what book, or who the originator(s) are. I know that this was used extensively by Slydini, Mark Wilson & many other other greats. However, You do it fantastic. You're a very joyful person.
I will guess that this is older than book taught magic. I will bet it will be in Harlan Tarbell's original letters. I went to look it up but those books are still packed away :)
@@growsomeplace9987 Hey thank you for your comment & I think you may be correct. I have the full Tarbell collection. Slydini would use this move, and rest his hand near the edge of the table & not move it while he talked (perfectly still). His psychology was fantastic, because people would be burning their attention on the coin hand. Then, in a simultaneous act of picking up a wand or object, he would lap the coin. For a split second the audience would shift their attention to the other hand. It was so convincing because of the pause and misdirection that it was impossible to catch him. He was genius! There are many excellent applications for this move, I love it, & Pete does it perfect!!!
Love this coin vanish so different from the other vanishes I can find in RUclips. It doesn’t involve a trick prop of a sleeve to put it in. Simply beautiful.
I actually didn’t know this one, or rather I knew a different version with the same concept except it was a simultaneous ditch/ reveal using two coins in the hand. Never thought to use it as a single vanish, cool !
I probably won't ever do this myself, but I loved the in depth how to guide of this trick. I really had an Ah ha moment when you explained what the other hand was doing. The sleeveless disappear acts always got me. Comment for the RUclips gods. Like and subscribe earned. looking forward to more.
I had a big interest in slight of hand when I was young and I tried sometimes quite successfully to learn various tricks with coins, thimbles and cards. I eventually realized I had fingers that weren't very suited for concealment. I had fingers that were not very meaty and had big spaces between my fingers. Frustrated I gave it up. Couldn't pinch coins between my fingers or hide palmed cards. Enjoyed the trick thanks.
read a magic book. you could drop it into a secret pocket, pretend to pull it out of someone's ear, present a lock box and give someone the key to open it with the coin inside...
Great trick. "Simple" but effective. For me a second part of the trick is how smooth you make it looks like the coin isn't in the other hand. When you run your fingers on the hand that the coin vanished, it really doesn't looks like the coin is in the other hand. I would really like to know how you are holding that coin to make it looks so natural, cause I was like "where did the coin go, is it still on the stealing hand?" Kkkkkkkk Thanks for the tutorial and congrats on the performance, really smooth!
Hi Friend. Thanks for those kind words. Here's a video that describes what's going on when it seems like my hands are empty. ruclips.net/video/qbW_cjibEJE/видео.html
wow! i just found your channel and i already love it. what a cool theme for a channel, suits my very curious and adhd brain. thank you for the cool lessons. cant wait to binge them all
Brilliant, i actually think i can get this one down relatively easy lol i used to play a lot of cards and once had an index finger injury so it was bandaged and out of commission so i delt cards using my middle and ring finger so im slightly familiar with the feeling
0:11 Ok, but where do you put the coin after the reveal of the empty left hand? I’ll just be standing there with the coin palmed in my right hand and I’ll be asked to show that hand.
After you do the vanish, you draw attention to where the coin reappeared (under a drink, a napkin, etc). That is misdirection for you to casually slip the coin into your pocket. Alternatively, give your audience a pen. Make a fist around the coin and steal it out as described in the video. Don't reveal the vanish yet. Then ask your participant to use the pen like a magic wand and tap your fist. Then you can take the pen from your participant using the hand that is secretly hiding the coin. Because you are going to put the pen away into your pocket, you can leave the coin in your pocket as well. They won't question it because they're convinced the coin is in the other hand, and putting a pen away is logical reason to go into your pocket. This "magic wand" principle is the basis for a lot of magic with small objects. Hope this helps!
Pete, Damn good! Love it! Could you do a follow up and tell us what you do with the coin after it is “stolen” into your right hand. How do you like to ditch it! Thanks
A very nice addition to my coin "steals". This is my first look at your channel and I did subscribe and look forward to reviewing your previous tutorials and seeing new ones. Thank you. ED
Cool. Thanks, man. Just be prepared that it's not always magic on the channel. However, I do have a bunch of tutorials in mind to do. Thanks for subbing.
Well done on a Cod Larry. We used to use those smaller carp for live bait for big cod. Looking forward to getting back to your way before Christmas. Hope we can catch up and have a fish together. I could give you a lot of tips on all the fishing you do. I'm not being negative champ. You do a great job and I am in envy of your posts.
Hey Pete! Great vanish. Great lesson! What you didnt tell us is what to do with the coin once you've stolen it. Looks like you classic palm it, but I'm wondering whether it's better to ditch it before all the heat goes to the right hand? Thoughts?
Hi there. Yeah you can ditch it. However, you can also go into another trick. With most of these vanishes, I use them as parts of a bigger routine that ultimately gets me totally clean. With that said, I've gotten a lot of questions about what to do with the coin after the vanish. Here's a convincer move that I've found myself doing a lot that usually takes the heat off of the other hand. ruclips.net/video/qbW_cjibEJE/видео.html

You reach in your pocket before the reveal and grab a pencil or wand while dumping coin and then wave wand over hand while you open it😊
