I kid you not, I am being quoted $160 (cost of bulbs) and $60 (labor cost) at the dealership in Toronto. Outside, I paid $15 for the bulbs and watched this video to change them.

    Outer socket is low beam.
Inner socket is NOT daytime running light, it's the high beam. Running lights not replaceable.

Easy as pie. You know, I've changed these bulbs several times on my 2018 Outlander. It's exactly the same and exactly as easy. Well, the auto store just sold me Sylvania plug and play LED bulbs, which according to their system are a fit for the Outlander. Well, the LEDs say to use the wire clip that secures the low beam spacer to secure the new LED spacer. One problem, the Outlanders don't use those wire clips on the low beams... right??? Or am I taking crazy pills? You certainly didn't remove and reinstall one in this video. So, may I ask, have you ever come across this with those plug and play LEDs? I went with a mainstream brand like Sylvania because I wanted to avoid issues like this.

i just did this recently. you don’t need to take any of these fittings at all. you could just sneakyour habd on the aide of the bracket on driver side and you can take it off easily. even the fluid container moves easily on the side because it has a flexible hose on the bottom. you just have to go straight to the bulb housing on both sides and that’s it

I need your help. I have a 2018 Mitsubishi ASX and was about to order an LED bulb from Amazon, but I'm confused about which bulb to buy for the low beam. Is it the same bulb that goes in both the high and low beams, or is it a different model for the high beam, low beam, and fog lights?

Thanks for this. In case anyone is looking at the left hand headlight, the easiest way to make just enough room to get at the unit is to loosen the bolt on the bracket holding the small electrical box but not unscrew it. Once it is loose, the bracket can be lifted slightly and rotated on the bolt as its axis which opens up more space. Much better than undoing it entirely which risks losing the nut underneath

The tip of the lightbulb has a cap that’s usually gold on the top of the lightbulb. This is supposed to be supported by the reflectiveness of the housing it’s in and spread light around instead of focusing it. Keep in mind the cheap bulbs are only 55 watts and yellowed
