2k16 was my favorite 2k,no archetypes, all the badges i earn can be upgraded to gold(hall of fame wasn't a thing back then),you could literally unlock any badge as long as you did the animations for that specific badge.Hooping with my friends in that jordan train station mycourt. Freakin and Vibin. My other favorite was 2k17 almost the same thing except archaetype became a thing, which wasn't that bad,it was just kind of dependent on your play style...and you had 5 main badges that could go up to hall of fame but you can unlock any other badge you want but you can't upgrade them,but 2k17 was probably the best. Grand badge...basically takeover but you actually EARNED it through grinding. Thats what i dont like about current 2k. They just give it to you and you activate it when you get hot.Jumpshot Creator, and i know yall remember the animation glitch. Had my 6 foot 5 playmaker speedboosting with contact dunks xD, but they need to bring those old 2k's back. Another fan favorite i heard was 2k15, i never had the chance to play it but it kind of looked like 2k16 but cheesier
YES! 2k16 was the best cus of the gameplay and there was no trash archetypes and pie charts. U jus picked if u was an inside, outside or balanced. 2k was better when it was simple...

The server is constantly being shutdown, I can't stop that. So if I report a crime onto social media (like the St. Paul Police told me to) I have to do it on the "suggestions area" of the videos

I emailed 2K and they said it was because they don’t get enough revenue off of the game to keep the servers running. Disgusting that a billion dollar company can’t be bothered to keep they own servers up.

Tristan Davis im with you brother, I bought live 19 and had a good time with it. The gameplay isn’t perfect but they have a 3v3 online mode and live basically throws clothes and attributes at you. Fuck 2k and their money hungry ways

I'd play 16. 2k day when I first heard that was a thing made me think they'd turn the servers on for a day 😂 main problem is they attach the online modes to offline gameplay (MyCareer for a my player) which allows them to turn servers off even though people really only pay extra for online purposes
Like cod never shuts the server off for old games, same with Halo (before MCC). It’s always fun to go back and get the nostalgia and see how far the graphics have come and try to relive the game you enjoyed so much. I’d rather they shut down 2k20 servers and open the 2k16 servers
2k18 was my first 2k and I thought it wasn't that bad but when I saw them 2k17 vids I was literally shocked cuz 17 looked much better than 18 and so I bought it but after 1 year they closed the severs...

2k16 was the best game ever made it was fair because defense was focus in this game so certain moves that was cheese weren’t impossible to guard
16 was the only year I grinded park and only got to a 88 overall but that's back to the better days. Now I'm 16 and stressed as hell

The thing I wish Sega did with the original 2K games was if they made a 2K every around 4-5 years so they would actually have games that aren't copy and pasted and have effort in them. It would be way better and if 2k could make a game that stays relevant for multiple years. Like Fortnite, Minecraft and Roblox.
