That spotting scope would come in handy on my and my sons Desert mule deer hunt In December. We just moved to AZ so it will be our first time chasing deer in the desert.
great video josh black bear hunting is my passion, hey josh the razor would be very convenient on the August opening bear hunts here in az you know how hot it is and I hike 4 miles in with limited water and with the razor glass you can see clear ass day also the weight is great for backpack trips
That spotting scope would come in handy on my and my sons Elk hunt In December. And its also his first elk tag. So hopefully we get two down. he’s definitely getting the first shot though.
That scope would come in handy on any hunt! From spotting whitetails here in Wisconsin, to the mountain tops glassing elk or mule deer. I just got back from North Dakota that spotter would’ve been awesome on that hunt! Great video man, I have to get out and chase a bear one of these years. That’s one I haven’t done yet!
That spotting scope would definitely help me get eyes on my target whitetail buck I’d like to kill this year also what would be my first whitetail buck last year I struck out time and time again on him because I just found the spot and him last year this year I’ve put in many more miles and hours into finding his area but being able to watch that from a further distance and not get my scent into those spots would hopefully keep my odds of catching him off guard higher and hopefully it would help in many other hunts in the future bear season ends here at the end of September first season putting actual effort into it not very big woods in Massachusetts so if I find a fresh trail I’ve gotta go full steam ahead to get on it before it crosses a property line
Has quickly become my favorite RUclips hunt show, just got back from my first montana muley hunt and before I just seen this video already had a spring black bear hunt in mind this pumps me up nice shooting josh!
My wife was drawn for Barbary Sheep on Ft Bliss this year.. That spotter would be perfect to find her a nice ram! Congrats on getting your bear on the 3rd shot! Very cool looking bear!
This new vortex optic would be perfect for black bear hunting. Lite enough to not weigh down the pack while hiking in, strong enough to find a bear at distance and not add additional unnecessary weight when packing out the meat,. You need room, and every ounce counts but not at the sacrifice of performance. West Virginia in November 🐻
That mini spotting scope sure would come in handy on my unit 22 grey ghost hunt this October. I have always wanted one but never had wanted to pack in one of those giants. Great Vortex is offering awesome glass in such a packable package now!
My buddy has the January deer hunt and it'd be a great help finally having a spotting scope on that hunt. Will also come in handy for every hunt to follow we draw!
Getting after the OTC bull elk tag in Idaho! Filled my first tag last year and have had a long 10 months to think about getting after it again! 2ish more months to go, couldn't be more stoked!
The new vortex scope would be perfect for a fly in Caribou hunt. Need to keep it light for the ride in and out, but want the performance to make sure you find the perfect caribou, to bring home and to help remember the hunt of a lifetime. Great video once again!!!
Ricknay7 hey Josh thanks for the videos you definitely make me want to get out more and try other states and new merch thank also for showing me how to e scout. The place where I think this little spotter would be useful is on longer backpacking hunts since it’s so small and doesn’t weigh as much as a normal full length spotter and it’s distance is better than binoculars.
My boyfriend Lucas and brother in law Rey ran into you in AZ. You put them on a deer, yet they still missed.. they NEED these!! Would love to surprise them!
Curious if you’ll respond to the gift notification. I did, wanted 64$ for shipping then 102$ for insurance shipping. Not sure if it was real or not. Only paid the $64. I asked them to call me from the cell number provided and hasn’t yet. I doubt it’s Josh to be honest.
Hey man. I'm going on a bear hunt in Idaho in the Spring and that spotting scope would be perfect for me. I enjoy your films and hope to meet you one day. Thanks, Mike
Drew back on a giant Whitetail just last week for the archery OTC in unit 27. Unfortunately, the wind took my moment of victory. I would use the spotter to try to pick them up again this winter and put the hammer down.
We do this stuff for fun. Is so true, even during a hard pack out. That new spotting scope would be great in my pack for next years solo, high buck hunt in my antler restriction unit.
Awesome hunt and awesome film! That mini spotter would definitely be used showing my newborn daughter wildlife and teaching her about the outdoors once she’s older.
Another great film. Appreciate getting to go along for the ride visually. That little Vortex Razor spotter wouldn't take up much room in the side pocket. Coues backpack medicine for sure.
Beautiful country, awesome hunt and congrats! Would use the scope on all my hunts, it's so compact and light, why not just have it on you all the time!
I'd think that would be about the perfect spotter to take into the unlimited sheep units. The handful of times I went in I carried the 11-33x50, this one would be a welcome upgrade.
Thank you for always providing insightful and engaging content and for being an ambassador. I’d use this spotting scope for all my hints but every time we’re out hunting the grey ghost… would be indispensable.
Great film to capture the essence of backpack hunting. I have enjoyed your productions for sometime now. I have an archery elk hunt coming up in AZ. More than just the hunt is the time I will be able to have with my boys. Nothing like getting old and having younger and stronger body’s to help out an old gray haired man dream his dream. Now that my son-in-law, Eric, has moved to Idaho I will be able also pursue Idaho bear as well. Seems like this Vortex would be a nice addition to my experience. I have been motivated since I was drawn for elk to get this old body in better shape. I have lost over 20 lbs. and walked almost daily. So far since April I have logged over 320 miles of walking. At 67, I know I’m playing on the back 9 of my life. None the less, one day at a time and put in the pain to hopefully enjoy the gain. Thanks again Josh.
That spotter would come in handy on any hunt for me as I currently don’t have a spotter. Honestly that think looks awesome and everything I’ve read it’s a game changer
Hey man!! We met at Hike to Hunt in Flagstaff after you did one of the courses. Super happy for you as you mentioned this hunt when we talked. Great production and overall story! I would use that little spotting scope virtually on any hunt that allowed for some glassing as its not so bulky and heavy as I tend to leave my other one due to weight. Keep those films coming!
That would really help reduce the eight in my bag for my high country mule deer hunt! I’m in love with the razor I currently have the full size 85mm but it’s an absolute HOG!
I would use it for all of my hunts because I haven’t bought a regular spotting scope since I spent all my money accumulating the rest of my gear. BUT the forest is so thick where I hunt that you couldn’t see too far anyways so a small spotting scope would be ideal since I would be focusing on little pockets at shorter distances so anything bigger would be excessive
That’s a lovely little scope! I’m packing tonight for my upcoming washington state high buck (blacktail) hunt with a side of black bear! That would be an excellent hunt for that glass; but I can hardly think of a hunt it wouldn’t be good on! Heading over to the NE of the state early October for the overlap of muzzleload whitetail and muzzle elk!
Huge fan bro, iv wrapped by head around what u once said, “be comfortable being uncomfortable” this year packing in backcountry in 27, that new Razor will be quite the tool for Bear hunts compared to my Razor 85…
Definitely could use the weight savings of that little spotter on my high country muley hunt. I think using that little spotter would allow you to go to a lighter tripod too.
I just spent a week in NM hunting black bear and then rode mules up above 12,000 ft looking for bighorn rams with a friend of mine who has a youth hunter coming for a hunt this week. Wow that Vortex would have been great to had in my saddlebags and been so helpful for judging some rams 😊👍👍👍👍
Josh. It was awesome meeting you at Hike to Hunt this past July in Flag. Loved this film. Looks so much more rugged than our "big" mountains here in AZ. If I win the scope, that would come in most handy for me on my elk hunt this year in unit 10. Big wide open hills and long distances to cover with that light weight glass would be handy. Sounds like we will be in CO at the same time this year too so maybe we can meet up and help each other with our pack outs. Best of luck on a good Deer
@ 62 & uncountable squats, pushups, lunges & planks I keep pressing on in the juniper’s of North-Central AZ to tag another AZ Mule Deer. I’ve seen numerous bears in my travels, but have yet to fill that tag. Thanks for the inspiring videos…
That was a scam account. Please ignore them. I have reported the account and removed their comments from the video. The winner of the giveaway will be announced on September 15th. @@larryleidig-bs9yv
I would use that thing for when I finally track down a big old boar in the Arizona back country. Will need to save all the ounces I can while not skimping on the glass!!!
You’re even gooder than I thought after first seeing your videos… A key to Argali offices? Dang! Only the worthy shall enter. :). Great stuff, as always!
Conrats Josh! wish I would have watched this before heading out on my CO fall bear hunt. I unfortunately didn't see any bears (wondering how much cattle in the area plays a part) Thanks for sharing this as it adds inspiration for OCT in ID!
You are the MAN! Your persistence is next level and the results speak for themselves. I love your videos and appreciate the knowledge you share. The mini spotter would be an absolute game changer on my Arizona archery hunts. Thank you for everything !
The opening line…beauty in doing difficult things. That’s something my wife and I have tried to instill in our children. Seeing the outcome instead of the pain is a blessing. Great film man! I’ve got a SD mule deer hunt in the works this fall. This spotter seems absolutely perfect as it will be a new type hunt for me.
On my second tag out. My first was this past opening weekend. 3yrs in process. Popped the cherry with archery at 50yd kneeling up hill quartering to. Learned a lot in the process. Next please!!!
Any hunt that you are going on in the back country and camping for several days or just quick hunts!! It’s size makes it ideal and perfect for backpack and back country hunts!!
Awesome film and beautiful landscapes man! Your videos inspired me to start bowhunting, so please keep them coming. The vortex spotter would be perfect for an archery elk hunt in Wyoming.
I have finally been selected for a moose tag after 33yrs of entering our moose draw here in Nova Scotia. This spotting scope would come in handy scanning the Cape Breton highlands for a big bull to harvest.
Great video as always! Watching your bear hunts encouraged me to try my first OTC AZ fall bear hunt this year. That new Vortex spotter would be perfect for my back country Coues hunt down in southern AZ this November. Keep the great videos coming.
OTC elk Colorado, new unit for me with plenty of glassing opportunities. Just need to go light and go long. This would be a much needed addition to my kit.
Honestly that spotter could go on any hunt! At that size and weight it wouldn’t be a burden in the pack whatsoever. Wouldn’t hesitate to throw that in my pack on my Elk, Deer, and Black Bear hunts. Thanks for the opportunity to win one!
I can see why you had to wait for September 1st to release this sweet redemption story film 🎥. Since you were testing out the new Vortex backcountry spotter. I can also see why you have been looking forward to this hunt The Most. I am happy 😃 that you got redemption from the previous season or two and found a beautiful reddish cinnamon colored boar 🐻. Congratulations Josh. Oh and sadly I don’t have any western or midwestern hunts this year, as you know I had to forgo applying once again but this time because my wife and I were seriously house 🏡 shopping and recently closed on our first house 🏡. But I plan on doing the Wyoming pronghorn and mule deer 🦌 rifle hunt that I was going to do this year, but it will be next year instead. Hopefully 🤞🏻 with my youngest brother and Dad.
Josh, such a good film! Your attention to detail and story telling are my favorite! I’d love to be able to give this spotter to Gage for our rifle bull tags in December! Good luck the rest of the season boss man!
That spotting scope would make a nice addition to what I carry for my upcoming fall bear hunt in Montana. My current one is way too bulky to carry on the longer hikes.
Honestly, the first circumstance that comes to mind is using it on a window mount on my truck. Something small and nimble I can keep in my console. Great video as always!!
Love this!! Would certainly use this for elk hunting in the fall. Gear weight is the primary reason I only carry my binos in. Sadly there are so many times I spotting scope would be clutch! Awesome video, Josh!!! You're the man!
Congrats on your first ID bear! I've been chasing the grey ghost here in AZ for the last three years with no success yet so that spotter just might be what I need to get my first!
Awesome film like always. I'd say my favorite part was the end where you did some flashbacks of the previous years. At a boy! You know as well as I do, I'd love to have that little razor spotter for any backpack hunt here in the great state of AZ.
I’ve got a few hints this year that this scope would be super handy for! First would be my dads first hunt here in az! Then on my late season bull hunt! Cheers Josh keep the awesome content comin!
Winner is @danemadden! Congrats dude! Thanks to everyone who participated in the giveaway!
Elk archery for sure. It’s the perfect size to keep your pack weight down but still powerful enough to glass big country.
The spotting scope would come in handy on my December late rifle hunt for couse deer here in southern Arizona
That spotting scope would come in handy on my and my sons Desert mule deer hunt In December. We just moved to AZ so it will be our first time chasing deer in the desert.
Be handy on any extended back pack trip but I’d say it would be absolutely perfect for my NM sheep hunt.
Thanks,
Love the video! The razor would come in handy for my wife and moms elk hunt in 6a
I think it will work great for run and gun coues when checking out rolling hills from 1000 yards in!
Great stuff man. That size spotter would be perfect for a backcountry Coues deer hunt..!!
This would be great on my upcoming backcountry Coues hunt in AZ this November. The size and weight are perfect!
I would love to take it on my next elk hunt!
great video josh black bear hunting is my passion, hey josh the razor would be very convenient on the August opening bear hunts here in az you know how hot it is and I hike 4 miles in with limited water and with the razor glass you can see clear ass day also the weight is great for backpack trips
I could really use this on my hunt I am 14 for a bull elk tag first try really exited to go it’s gonna be up north of Arizona somewhere in December
That new spotting scope would work great for my upcoming elk hunt in some big country out west. Awesome film!
I would use the spotting scope in Montana on my first deer hunt! Great video.
That spotting scope would come in handy on my and my sons Elk hunt In December. And its also his first elk tag. So hopefully we get two down. he’s definitely getting the first shot though.

Spotter would have been perfect on my bear hunt last week - 25 miles of deadfalls and underbrush - a little glass could've me helped me find a bear!
For me, that spotting scope would work best in my PNW black bear and black tail deer hunts in a 5-8 mile back pack deep hunt
Thanks Josh for that Film. What a refreshing gem in this saturated platform. Fully enjoyed it!
Very much appreciated 🙏🏼. Thanks for taking the time to watch!

Would work perfectly on archery bull/muley hunts! You the man Josh. Always enjoy your videos!
Congrats on a great Bear! Awesome film, you put out great content. That spotter would help in me my Blacktail deer hunt.
Spotter would be prime on my January Arizona otc archery coues backpack hunt. Unit 22 😉
WINNER WINNER!

That little Vortex spotter would be super handy for keeping things light on my backpack Dall Sheep hunts here in Alaska.
That all new vortex spotter would definitely be useful in my North Dakota archery whitetail hunt this fall! Love how packable that thing is!

Awesome hunt and film! Always a pleasure watching your Idaho hunts. I would use that spotter for High Buck up in Washington State! 🤘🏼🇺🇸🐻🦌
That spotter would come in handy on any hunt for me as I currently don’t have a spotter. Honestly that think looks awesome and everything I’ve read it’s a game changer
What a shot. Man, I think I could use that new Vortex on all my hunts. Amazing bear, congrats!

That spotter would be perfect on my Idaho deer hunt that I’m backpacking in for!! Lighter weight gear helps a ton!
Coues deer hunting. Great for those long hikes and tough glassing those little guys.
I would use it on my Sons first deer hunt this year in October.
A small spotter like that would be super useful for hunting muleys in the rut.
Holy moly fun stuff. Would love you use that scope to spot buck antelope in October! Thanks bud.
Spotter would be clutch for a down south AZ Coues hunt! 🤘🏼

A small scope that that would be awesome for those high country mule deer archery hunts when ounces really count!
Another great film! I would take the spotter on the Idaho spring black bear hunt I have been dreaming about.
@ 62 & uncountable squats, pushups, lunges & planks I keep pressing on in the juniper’s of North-Central AZ to tag another AZ Mule Deer. I’ve seen numerous bears in my travels, but have yet to fill that tag. Thanks for the inspiring videos…
Loved the show. Planning my Idaho spring bear hunt for next year if I don't draw Oregon spring bear. That Vortex spotter looks sweet. Thanks.👍
@ClickOnProfile398 Sweet what is it?
That was a scam account. Please ignore them. I have reported the account and removed their comments from the video. The winner of the giveaway will be announced on September 15th. @@larryleidig-bs9yv
@@DialedinHunter I figured as much. Thanks for the reply.

Thanks! Man, that's a bummer. Best of luck in ID!

The opening line…beauty in doing difficult things. That’s something my wife and I have tried to instill in our children. Seeing the outcome instead of the pain is a blessing. Great film man!

On my second tag out. My first was this past opening weekend. 3yrs in process. Popped the cherry with archery at 50yd kneeling up hill quartering to. Learned a lot in the process. Next please!!!
I'll go for the straight spotter, by the way. Something i learned with my current angled vortex spotter i have.

Any hunt that you are going on in the back country and camping for several days or just quick hunts!! It’s size makes it ideal and perfect for backpack and back country hunts!!
Could definitely use the spotting scope for archery white tail hunt in Kansas
Awesome film and beautiful landscapes man! Your videos inspired me to start bowhunting, so please keep them coming. The vortex spotter would be perfect for an archery elk hunt in Wyoming.
I have finally been selected for a moose tag after 33yrs of entering our moose draw here in Nova Scotia. This spotting scope would come in handy scanning the Cape Breton highlands for a big bull to harvest.

OTC elk Colorado, new unit for me with plenty of glassing opportunities. Just need to go light and go long. This would be a much needed addition to my kit.
Great video. This spotter would be great for my 2 boys' first youth deer hunts and wife 1st coues deer hunt.
Awesome film!! Always a pleasure getting advice from you. The spotting scope would come in handy on our annual bear hunt hear in Idaho!! 🙌
Three generation Mule Deer hunt in AZ this November. Already have some glassing spots picked out to put it to work.

Josh, such a good film! Your attention to detail and story telling are my favorite!
I’d love to be able to give this spotter to Gage for our rifle bull tags in December!
Good luck the rest of the season boss man!
Great video as always buddy!! Hopefully I can use that new spotter for some late season mule deer!
The Mini Razor would be awesome for my dad's NV muley hunt this fall. Great video too Josh.
Love this!! Would certainly use this for elk hunting in the fall. Gear weight is the primary reason I only carry my binos in. Sadly there are so many times I spotting scope would be clutch! Awesome video, Josh!!! You're the man!
The new vortex scope would be so sweet for archery elk hunting! I never want to carry a full size scope so that scope would be money!
Would love to use this spotter on the first elk hunt in CO for my dad and I! Inspiring film my man
Congrats on your first ID bear!
Awesome film! That new spotter looks perfect for a Gila Mule Deer hunt this November!
I’ve got a few hints this year that this scope would be super handy for! First would be my dads first hunt here in az! Then on my late season bull hunt! Cheers Josh keep the awesome content comin!
*hunts lol
Awesome video man! That scope would be perfect for my Dakota deer/shed trips. 💯
Another great film Josh, and a beautiful bear! Appreciate the opportunity on the spotter, would be perfect for my late season mule deer hunt!
