The Parable of the Sower and the Seed (Audio) Mark 4:1-20

THE SOWER AND THE SEED: Jesus said in Mark 4:13 that if you understand the Parable of the Sower and the Seed, you can understand all the parables (Mark 4:13-20; Matthew 13:18-23; Luke 8:11-15). This parable speaks of a sower who sows the seed of the Gospel--- the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ. The Gospel seed falls on four different types of soil. Each type of soil represents the different ways in which a person receives the Gospel.
