"Currency means nothing if you still ain't free" that's real deep... there's so many quotes and powerful lines behind this legendary track.. The beat alone is just something else.. but then you add Pac's passion, voice, flow and it makes it more than just legendary.. its timeless music! Great reaction Jack!
The fluid sound of that flute added an ethereal-like magical feel as he paints images with his words. 2Pac is a legendary poet giving pushing emotional images into the mind that pierce the heart. Great reactionary video Jack. I can see you're feeling and appreciating our culture. Worth my subscription. Good Job!
From the time Pac passed till now I shed tears when I hear this song. As a young college student going to Michigan State PAC had a concert there and one of my girls was dating his boy. We all had planned to hook up after the concert because I had a huge crush on Pac way before he became famous. One of the girls who was with us mom ended up in the hospital and she didn’t have a car so she asked me to drive her to Ann Arbor and my plan was to drive back to Lansing but her mother passed and I stayed there with her. And the joke has always been remember when you and PAC was going to hook up. When I first told my kids who I raised listening to him they were so amazed. And yes we all have pics of that night which I posted on FB on his Born Day. Even back then 93-94 all the women wanted PAC I wanted him to even if it was for one night. And the reason why I was the chosen one because I wasn’t sweating him and I was in college to be a pediatrician and he respected that. So, that’s my memory of the greatest rapper that ever did it. 8:32
Thank you Jack for giving 2pac credit for ear talent. Nobody ever gives him credit for that, and you right, most rappers don't have that ability. That's why he is the goat. Great lyrics and ear talent. Never duplicated again. RIP Tupac.
Good job jack ! This song is my fav pac track. Been a #1 2pac fan forever and know all his music. This track is just something else. Play it loud at night in your car on a cruise and it just hits you for some reason.
One of my favs. 3rd verse is my fav. "My aim is to spread more smiles than tears. Utilized lessons learned from my childhood years" U will love "krazy" off the same album
Great reaction pac brought his deepest thoughts back on the makaveli album like hold ya head, white man's world, krazy, and blasphemy a spiritual masterpiece!!!
2pac- No more pain, tradin war stories, when we ride, last ones left, run tha streetz, until the end of time, letter to my unborn, when thugs cry, life of an outlaw, krazy.
You can see the evolution of pac album by album he was about to take it to another level if that's even possible but then he was taken from us just like that
I personally think the killuminati album is the absolute best of pac ever and its my favorite album of pac. It was so good that they killed him for it. He wrote and recorded the whole album in 3 days, edited it in 4, and made the whole album in a week
Interesting fact about the Makaveli album. He recorded it in 3 days, but the sound engineers took 4 days to mix it.Originally, it was going to be the 3 Day Theory. On top of that, Pac used Death Row's poorest producers. All the guys who worked on this album came from the "Wack Room"....Look it up.Pac said he didn't give a fuck because his rhyme skills was going to make the track hot anyway.
Bro without a doubt you have the absolute best insight and your analytical skills are incredible for your age...(no disrespect). I wasn’t able to listen this thoroughly when I was a teen listening to Pac. Keep it up and your pauses are appropriate.
Hold Ya Head = Stay Strong Especially before going to prison. That's what the intro is all about. C.O's shouting out orders. His Road Dog was his cellmate...all he want was a shout out.
I like one thing u said about all pac's beats were fire and its so true man! So u can tell hi was a real smart dude when it comes to pick a beat..everything sound so perfect
I grew up with pac and bone thugs . This music brings me back to my youth and best memories in 97. rapers like pac ,bone , snoop, etc. I love the older music from no limit rec, and cash money rec. also lovely. I mean that in the 90s there were more different rap categories that were recognisable to become a legend. Today’s rappers are unable to use whithout an autotune app music instead of using your brain. It is to cry for
Jack thank you so much for this reaction. You reacted almost like I did when I first heard this song as a teenager. This song just hits different and it touches your soul. RIP Pac. I also have all his album I collected them when I was younger (90's kid). This is what makes Pac a legend and like no other.
I like when you speak on his beat choice. He actually had a hard time picking his beats his 1st two albums according 2 Shock G. So it's clear he eventually learned
First i really like your reactions! i think what makes Pac so special is, that he put so many influences into his songs. he was very poetic but could be lyrical too, switched up his flows, his styles, added a lot of instrumentals, samples and singer to his music. he spoke about his experiences, of what he heard or saw and most important felt and thought about his life and the life of other people. he could be sad or thoughtful or happy and uplifting, the same way he was angry or aggressive. and don't forget about that he was more a preacher, teacher and philosopher. this man was a genius with a lot of empathy, he was real and raw and in the same time not perfect or try to act like he was. there will never be someone near to his talent, period.
JACK, YOU HAVE TO REACT TO : KRAZY DEAR MAMA 2 of Pacs marterpieces, youve already done pieces that weren´t aproved by him, but these two, are really deep and were original tracks approved by him, thanks for making us feel the almost the same way we felt the first time we heard his master pieces.
Pac also had a lot of influence in how his production sounded he would tell them what kinds of sound he wanted it's like he produced the beat in his mind and they bring it to life for him.
The “Catch a brother at the crossroads” line was about Eazy E... whom he was cool with despite the Dre v Eazy beef and the reason he collaborated with Bone Thugz
Put it to you this way. I've never been a big religious guy. But based on what I've seen over the past two decades since Pac's death, I'm starting to think that maybe he was the last prophet and we are in the last days. Something about the way his music touched people, even people who you would never think would be into his stuff, really got me thinking that he was sent here for a reason.
Great reaction fam. If you can do "Ballad of a Dead Soulja" the orginal versions of "when we Ride on my Enemies" and "My Closet Road Dawgz" if you can do the originals and his 2 versions thatvwrte remixed on the his albums. Oh yeah one more request is "Fucking Wit The Wrong Nigga" all those are fire
Actually no one wanted to work with these producers. They called they studio the wack room. No one went into there room. They were apart of death row, so 2pac said he was gonna work with them and show that he can make a hit off any beats. So he let them do the whole album.
When thugs cry (the og version as chorus is the best and sample sting fragile is much better than released version) and Mama's just a lil girl (Brenda's got a baby part 2)..and who do you believe in all great
My favorite Pac song ever. This is like his goodbye letter
I agree. I always felt like I could've been the last track he ever recorded, even though I know it wasn't.
Same especially when I'm high listening to the dj screw version takes me to another dimension
"So Many Tears" is like his goodbye letter
I agree, definitely his good bye song it's so deep
This song 🔥🔥🔥
"Currency means nothing if you still ain't free" that's real deep... there's so many quotes and powerful lines behind this legendary track.. PAC made this masterpiece with no curse words
Thank you Jack for giving 2pac credit for ear talent. Nobody ever gives him credit for that, and you right, most rappers don't have that ability. That's why he is the goat. Great lyrics and ear talent. Never duplicated again. RIP Tupac.
My Favorite Pac record! Real deep lyrics very thought provoking.
Good job jack ! This song is my fav pac track. Been a #1 2pac fan forever and know all his music. This track is just something else. Play it loud at night in your car on a cruise and it just hits you for some reason.

One of my favorites!!
I used to work the graveyard shift.Getting off & hitting a empty freeway with this bumping at 3:30 am ...Chilling in the most introspective way.
One of pacs best projects ever
Imagine how dope it would have been to see him perform this with an orchestra with that flute
2Pac's second verse was insane with content. Dude was spitting knowledge about the jail system.
The Makaveli album was ahead of its time; He was truly a trailblazer🔥
Stephany Marie 💯🥰
I had to subscribe when you was speaking about his second verse. You were speaking some real 🫗
Good stuff, Jack. Honestly, I'm impressed with your reactions, they're well thought out. And the fact that u love Makaveli makes it all the sweeter!
You can see the evolution of pac album by album he was about to take it to another level if that's even possible but then he was taken from us just like that
Facts !!
Seriously each album he made showed how was getting better it’s really a shame that man was taken from us.
2pac nothing to lose
I hate when ppl say PAC wasn't lyrical this is one song of dozens that he fucking kills it !
Mad respect for you're reaction bro. So glad to see 2pac getting the attention from the younger generation of hiphop.💯💯💯💯💯✨✨✨

Only 2 producers came from the "wackroom" from this album...
2Pac liked to include titles of his other songs in his lyrics
Did you know: 2Pac told Rob Marriott in the interview "Hold Ya Head" is Part 2 to "Keep Ya Head Up"
Naw baby don't cry is keep yo up 2
Favorite album ever
Bro without a doubt you have the absolute best insight and your analytical skills are incredible for your age...(no disrespect). I wasn’t able to listen this thoroughly when I was a teen listening to Pac. Keep it up and your pauses are appropriate.

The Makaveli album is a stuff of legends. Jeez I’m still bumping bomb first, just like daddy, white manz world even after 24 years. Never gets old.
