I definitely would love to see it on next gen. I feel like it reach a new audience who never got to play the games and to inspire kids to be in band or a solo project.
Or if they made a warriors of rock part 2 with completely new songs other guitar hero characters that were not in part 1 and give them their own story as well and maybe add some new features where we can play expert plus on guitar because for some reason it's only on drums and also maybe some new features maybe old ones too like bringing back the unlockable guitars for getting five stars on all songs on that specific difficulty like they did in guitar hero 2 and all the way up to Aerosmith and maybe not shut down the fucking online because I never got to play the guitar hero games online really because I got all of them at the end of their life cycle and I didn't even get to play them for awhile because I didn't have an instrument at the time but when I got one I tried to play online and the servers were shut down on both series guitar hero and rock band I wanted to play online on them because I don't have anybody to play with I bought all of the instruments and they just mostly sit there collecting dust
With a new Guitar Hero, I agree that a number in the title ain't the way to go, but I also don't think it should just be called Guitar Hero. They should instead give the new entry a subtitle. Call it: "Guitar Hero: Reunion Tour" for example. Also, they should do a collection of some of the best entries from the past as well.
If it comes back out im gonna cry. I couldn’t believe they essentially canceled there last game. I never fully understood how they shut down when the popularity was off the charts. Lives online servers were actually good but then when the servers shut down after a short time the on disc selection only had like barely any songs. It made me genuinely sad when all of this went down.

(And no im not a tech nerd i had to figure this stuff out) Then i bought a guitar on ebay for $50 (said it worked and it didnt) so i fixed that and after ebay hunting the guitar hero games i was probably $230-$250 deep to re-live that awesome experience. I had sealed copies of guitar hero games. They were left sealed for 12 years and I opened them 3 days ago because my girlfriend got me a guitar for Christmas. The nostalgia has been incredible
I'd be happy if they just made GH3 playable on the PS5 lol. They should add backwards compatibility and see how the demand for that goes. But they really need to release a guitar controller for modern consoles

This year Hyperkin has been talking about making guitar controllers, or wanting to at least, in collaboration with Epic. Epic doesn't appear to respond publicly from what I've seen though. We'll see if something comes out of these events, but if the ball is going to get rolling to revive the "genre", it would be now.
I have been wishing for this forever, but not the new styled guitar hero, The original was so much better. The are going to cost me a lot in adding a bad ass sound system to my tv.

I would love for GH To come back... my only concern is for folks like you and I who are streamers on twitch or YT Content creators, and the problem with playing the game live and keeping the VOD. As far as Twitch is concerned, the major issues there are the DMCA strikes. For those not in the know, DMCA stikes on twitch don't generally happen unless you have 2 or more streams within a 24 hour period with copyright protected materials being displayed in the foreground or played in the background. Usually if it's just 1 stream they will say okayvyou had the following song(s) play on this video and were muted. You can dispute that muted audio, or leave it be. However, when you multiple streams with their own VOD and if those have their own muted section because of copyright protected materials, then the DMCA strike comes into play. This strike can be wiped from the account by deleting the VOD that got the strike on it, but if you keep it, and continue to get more strikes, then you run the risk of having your account deleted. This is going to be a perfect opportunity for the musical acts, record labels, streaming platforms, streamers themselves and members of US Congress and any other nation who suffers from them to come together to figure out how we can avoid this moving forward. I think the DMCA should be in place, but it needs to be rewritten to allow streamers to share the music they want to listen to with their viewers like a host of a party would be able to do. Especially if your whole stream is centered around fundraising for charity and not personal gain, like mine.
After many years of hibernation, I’ve pulled out my Xbox 360 play with my little kids. However, it seems like the Xbox is not reading my discs anymore so I am in the dilemma of do I upgrade or find a used 360. The problem I am finding is thatthe majority of my games are of the guitar hero nature. And what I am learning about the new Xbox consoles is that the peripherals do not attach so now I am torn on what to do. Is there any easy and inexpensive way to attach the old guitar hero guitars to an Xbox one?

Honestly, Im good. I have hundreds of hours in playtime with Guitar Hero on PS2 and 360 and Rockband. The nostalgia I have for it was playing with friends and that basically never happens anymore. I do not see this selling well not being a big enough hit.

In my 30s now. Every once in a while I still power up the old Xbox just to play these games. Play through the campaign on expert just to reassure myself I’ve still got the skills to shred. Probably bought 4 used Xbox 360s over the years and 3 controllers just to be able to play these gems. The 360s don’t seem to hold up well and I worry about the time these games go extinct. Time to bring it back!

Switch never had. Only singing games. As an Uber driver with GH on board it was played and LOVED by the most college students over any other game. Maybe Mario Kart was in the lead but that's it.
If a new Guitar Hero does come out, it NEEDS to have a live service like GHTV. GHTV is the most consumer-friendly DLC model (if you will) that the series ever had. Spending an extra $200 on 100 songs on top of the $250 for the game and peripherals is asking a lot from a lot of people who frankly are only going to play a few songs on the weekend. I would buy a new GH in a heartbeat but they seriously need to bring back GHTV with the OPTION to purchase songs to play offline as GHTV intended to have, and a full custom co-op/Rivals setlist at launch. Edit: there’s no reason to not have the game available for both 5 and 6 fret guitar and bass charts if the charts are gonna be AI generated. Sell the game with the original 5 fret layout and have the option to separately purchase a MUCH improved 6 fret guitar. I’m tired of replacing those plastic contact pads in the neck of the 6 fret.

Versus RB 1(2007) RB 2(2008) RB 3(2010) RB Blitz(2012) and RB 4(2015). Minus mobile and N DS versions and Green Day, Beatles, and AC/DC and genre expansions. I was more of a Rock Band than Guitsr Hero player as a preteen and teen when the games came out. GH and RB besides the radio were my experience with new music back in the day. If GH were to return it would be 2025 for the franchise’s 20th anniversary. Yet music nowadays is a lot different than 2005-10 as rock metal and punk has passed its peak years. Same as Dubstep/EDM has passed yesrs in recent years as well. Music nowadays is leftover trap, post-EDM, pop Country, indie pop/alternative pop, and social media hits. I really like playing Welcome to Jungle or Cult of Personality on GH.

Versus RB 1(2007) RB 2(2008) RB 3(2010) RB Blitz(2012) and RB 4(2015). Minus mobile and N DS versions and Green Day, Beatles, and AC/DC and genre expansions. I was more of a Rock Band than Guitsr Hero player as a preteen and teen when the games came out. GH and RB besides the radio were my experience with new music back in the day. If GH were to return it would be 2025 for the franchise’s 20th anniversary. Yet music nowadays is a lot different than 2005-10 as rock metal and punk has passed its peak years. Same as Dubstep/EDM has passed yesrs in recent years as well. Music nowadays is leftover trap, post-EDM, pop Country, indie pop/alternative pop, and social media hits. I really like playing Welcome to Jungle or Cult of Personality on GH.
