Depending on your taste, you can add some salt and citric acid to it and it turns out like a fruity sour candy or add some honey and enjoy the sweetness. We usually cook them a little bit before drying but it's not a most. We dry it in the direct sun light in non humid days

Food waste is actually a necessity from Capital to keep it's profits margin by destroying or throwing away commodities that weren't sold. Did you know that supermarkets will prefer to destroy food instead of give it away? Did you know that a guy called Getúlio Vargas set on fire a ridiculous ammount of coffee in order to make coffee prices (thus profits margin) stable? Overproduction is a problem in Capitalism, for the bourgoeisie don't want you to know that they're dispensible for the social production.

I think it’s also majorly due to regulation. From what i heard american FDA regulations are so tight that the only thing to do with leftover food on closing hour is to throw them away (correct me if i’m wrong). Where i’m from, the stores aren’t prohibited from selling them on a discount, allowing employees to bring them home, or giving them to people in need.. so a lot of restaurants do this here

      ‭‭ ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:10‭-‬18 says,
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. The bible is no old book. You have to really let Christ open your eyes; to see the world in shambles. Many people say it's a religion to lock up people in chains, and say it's a rule book.. why? Because people hate hearing the truth, it hurts their flesh, it's hurts their pride, it's exposes on what things have they done..people love this world so much, s*x, money, power, women, supercars.. things of this world. Still trying to find something that can fill that emptiness in your heart. You can't find that in this world.. only in Christ, the bible is no chains, it's a chainbreaker. Breaking your sins into pieces... Repent now, and turn back to the true Lord only.. God bless.😊😊😊😊

90% of food waste happens before the food gets to the customer, people should try to reduce the waste that they make at home, but food waste is the product of greed plain and simple

It's actually a necessity from Capital to keep it's profits margin by destroying or throwing away commodities that weren't sold.

@@comu157 I am aware of all of these things, the issue is that people make videos regarding food waste as a personal responsibility issue, and ignore the fact that not even 5 years ago farmers across the US was dumping perfectly good product because it was cheaper to dump it than give it away during a period of time where food insecurity was very high due to the pandemic.
We should be holding those in power accountable, and spreading the truth about the problems in society whenever possible

I prefer using them in making smoothies or milkshakes. Especially with bananas. Those that don't have black marks yet have a nice white yellow-ish (in a good tasty way) color. But those that already have black parts result in something that looks like hot chocolate!
