It worked for a while, but then a few weeks after the warranty expired, it stopped working. I called them and they said they knew about the the problem with the unit but they are selling them anyway because most of the time they work for a few years. They said I'd have to buy another unit. I told them I'd search around for something that was more reliable.
This device works great! The answer to knowing when the utility power comes back on especially when used with an Interlock switch setup!
Didn't know this was a thing. Thanks for sharing. Will order one with the new generator.

so, actually, what is stopping you from wrapping the antenna around the wire just OUTSIDE of the panel, and finding a ground outside of the box?
How long is the cord? I need to install on a main panel outdoors so I’ll need to run the cord through an exterior wall and mount the device inside.

the issue I am having is with the small ground wire. It's impossible to get it in that bus bar.
Strip it back 3x longer than you need and fold the conductor to get more diameter under the termination
Is it loud enough to hear that while the generator is running? Because my generator is loud
Question, in order to wrap the white sensor chord around the main power line, would i have to have my power turned off while doing it?
If your not a real careful person then, yes.
Idea is cool, there is 0 way I would hear that with a noisey ass generator going...
For Gods sake, HOLD YOUR PHONE SIDEWAYS LIKE ANY CAMERA. You sound old enough to know this.
Apparently you’re not old enough to not be an asshat. 🤦🏻♂️
