You can also use adjustable upper and lowers instead of the drop down mounts I have them drop down and they keep loosing up I have to tight them nuts and bolts very often
How LOW can you go without changing your arms? I want to run Super Duper deep reverse cups that will cover the powerballs on a Gbody, 2 ton precuts, and stock perches. Will this cause driveline issues when laid out?
@@freshbey8203 make sure you have a bridge then I would have your trailing arms reinforced if you don't want to buy the adjusting arms. If you have 8 batteries in the trunk it will 3 wheel. I do recommend reinforcing all of the frames stress points before you 3 wheel all the time.
Slip yoke only helps the axle from not pulling or pushing the drive shaft away or Into the transmission. It doesn't help or hurt doing 3 wheel. Only helps for higher lock ups mainly.

It all depends how much travel you have. The shop that will do your slip on the drive shaft will need 2 measurements from you so they know exactly how to install the slip on your drive shaft. You will grab a measurement from the axle to the transmission while car dropped down then another measurement with the car locked up in the rear
I’ve built 2 of these .i used the stock rear end and 4 link out of 2” 1/4 wall tubeing with off road 7/8 rod ends. Both cars have 30 inch telescopics and the rear bumpers are damn there over my head when locked up.

Leave the adjustment alone on the trailing arms and install the drop mounts, you will need to cut away some metal that's right underneath the upper trailing arm mounts.
You have to get a slip yoke that fits your drive shaft, then you have to get 2 measurements where the car is lowered then all the way locked up so the drive shaft shop knows how long to modify your drive shaft. The measurements are from the axle to the end of the transmission. On my truck I went off of the axle to the drive shaft carrier bearing

What size slip yoke you recommend? For thr third option

So for my 98 Lincoln town car WHICH IS BETTER FOR HIGH LOCK UP..NOT A HOPPER JUST A CRUISER..BUT I WANT A HIGH LOCK UP..
Yourd has a ladder stack 4 link correct? If so then moving and dropping the mounts are best for you to get a higher lock up in the rear.

You can but those springs are pretty short
