I cut my teeth on small creeks, absolutely the best way to spend a few hours. My teen years were spent living in Flippin, Ark and fishing Crooked Creek, Blue John Creek, and the Buffalo River. One May I fished 4-5 times a week for 2-3 hours a day, caught 1,000 smallmouth and over 2,000 sunfish & perch, all on a 2.5" black and silver floating Rapala. Cast, twitch, twitch, BOOM! Best was a 19" smallie there. God I miss those days!
I love tubes also. One of the best multi species baits on the planet. I live in Buffalo and fished Lake Erie and the Niagara river all my life and tubes catch everything from bass to steelhead.
