i wish the apple pencil had the feature the surface one does where instead of a double tap for erasing, you just flip the pen round and use the end as the eraser like you would on a normal pencil, it's a really cool feature
The Logitech Folio Touch keyboard has the Apple trackpad features and it has shortcut buttons at the top like volume and brightness that the Magic keyboard does not. On top of that it was only $150 as opposed to $300. I found it to have more value for its price, so that’s what I got
Thanks for the video! another thing to note about the feature of apple pencil is pressure sensitivity which the budget alternatives don’t have. Although some budget alternatives offer “tilt function” (if it’s tilted the line becomes thick) it doesn’t really substitute the pressure sensitivity. Another thing is pressure sensitivity mostly matters for drawing purposes and a no issue for note-taking.
For me it’s the other way round, I take notes and am an artist. First of all, palm rejection is not really on budget styluses below £40 and there are no styluses that have pressure sensitivity that can note-take pretty well as well. I may only have a first gen. Also £300 for a keyboard with trackpad kinda seems a bit silly. Also you talked about the gestures. Tbf, they are side-gimmicks which are great but not the main stuff. Overall for me, the Apple Pencil is a must have for drawings and note-taking. The Magic Keyboard honestly is your choice
i took the magic keybaord on sales, fearing it would be not ase useful as i fought but as a student, typing a lot, and using my tablet as halp a laptop, half a tablet, it was a game changer to me :)
Thank you SO much for this!! My iPad Pro 11” 2021 comes tomorrow. I bought it with the magic keyboard! Have held off on the pencil because I am minimal on drawing/notes so thanks! I’ll play with my pro and magic keyboard before I decide to get a pencil, and even if I need it 😀
Man, i've had my ipad for awhile now maybe 3 months and have been contemplating getting the magic keyboard the whole time, your video is really convincing haha
@@hamishp362 that's a great one, and I've seen it on the apple site as well. Personally not a fan of prop-up cases, and don't believe it can charge the ipad while docked though

Great video! I really enjoyed the way you explained the features whats good and useful, it made a lot of sense!! Helped me decide whether I wanna splurge on apple products or get the same productivity without needing extra features I can survive without as a student LOL.
I would really like to use the cheap stylus option but I bought 3 different pencils and they aren't working. So i had to bought the apple pencil for 125€ and it works perfectly fine but now I'm homeless
I got my magic keyboard (using it now). I also have the Apple Pencil. I brought the keyboard so that I would have to carry my laptop and my iPad at the same time. However, when I study i use my laptop and take notes with my iPad and pencil. I’m wondering if I should return the magic keyboard and just continue what I have been doing.. or keeping it just in case I need it…. But for the price I paid… I want to get the most use out of it.
Thank you so much for this video. I've found it really useful as I keep having the temptation to get a stylus but do not want to fork out the money needed for an Apple Pencil 2 (especially as I can't see how it will improve my workflow other than helping me edit photos and have more accuracy on small webpages as a tool). Will likely go with the Logitech Crayon so I get the full Apple Support plus use on older / other iPads.
There are not many reviews out there that are so honest and useful to students like me. 💖I have never purchased an apple product but I will definitely consider it after this.✨🥰 Thanks
Another great video 👌🏻 I’m using a Logitech keyboard case on my 2020 11” iPad Pro, but having to use the 2018 case because here in Australia the newest keyboard with trackpad hasn’t arrived. Hanging out for that one! I love the flexibility of being able to fold it down and start using the Apple Pencil straight away, the magic keyboard just seems like it needs a little more work in the moment. Although the gestures look pretty sweet on the trackpad!!
Hey Georgia wow didn’t realize you were in Australia, whereabouts? We have family in Sydney haha The Logitech keyboard is a great one too I believe even Apple has it listed on their website
Hey guys, I messaged the remote team and they said that the app will come soon can't wait for it Does it also have older iOS support like ios10 cause a lot of use older ipads
Since you use this for work/studies and I’m deciding between MacBook and an iPad Pro I was wondering if you could give me your advice on which I could use full time for school. I’m leaning towards the iPad but I’m scared it won’t fulfill what I need. Also is there an app where is I’ll be able to save all of my word docs and school things? Is the typing good on the magic keyboard, will I be able to type properly like on a laptop? And lastly do you think that the battery life on the iPad is an issue?
