An absolutely wonderful modern reimagining of John Carpenter's Halloween, and the myth-like qualities of Michael Myers. Still holds up today and I'm glad you kept at making this fan film a reality because it most definitely paid off, Good work!
This is by far the best Halloween fan film I've seen...the acting, plot, cinematography, MM character, was all on point...and it had the 80's feel to it because of your selection of a particular neighborhood that looks like streets of Haddonfield...but really done it is the great mask and music from the original Halloween. I was genuinely as scared as I was when I watched the original Halloween 30 years ago. Debra Hill would of been proud if she was here and watched this work of art as would John Carpenter! I am looking forward to seeing more of your work as you are very gifted! 👏👏👏👏👏

It was really well made, Myers was creepy as hell and some of the shots were absolutely amazing. I do have some critiques though and I hope you won't find them too harsh. I didn't get some of the music choices, I found them jarring and they took me out of the film. The sound doesn't seem to quite sync up right when the actors speak and I found it hard to hear them sometimes (I was watching on surround sound too). But all in all a very well made film!
Great fan film man! I honestly really enjoyed this. That mask, the cinematography, story, music, atmosphere, and the acting by the guy that played Michael and the other actors were terrific!
What an awesome fan film! This was better than The Curse Of Michael Myers. lol My only complaint is the opening driving scene looks like a mountainous area. Doesn't look like the Midwest at all. What state was that shot in? Hmmmm.....great great job though. Very impressed. Recognized those drone shots right off bat. I think we need a sequel!!!
I enjoyed this fan film, great acting by the guy who played Michael Myers! I’d love to see a part two… the other actors were good too. I recognized the iconic kill from Michael where he lifts up the victim, nice touch with that scene!
Fantastic film!! This and Halloween the night he came back are the best Halloween fan films online right now. The drone shots were amazing and really added a sense of eeriness to it.

Part 2 called Smith's Grove? because damn, I agree for your film not only being a rebooted Justice, but it ends like how a real person of rage comes back with such passion in Halloween.

Great film.. with so many fan films out there ,this one was a pleasant surprise!. awesome camera work and story line was great. Can't forget the quality mask for this film as well.. some don't even have a mask that comes close to the "Creep" .. one of my favorites from Justin Mabry .. great job hope to see another in the future.. my son and his highschool buddies just made a short film on my RUclips channel from the Friday the 13th franchise..next is a Halloween one after he writes a script! hope their film comes out as good as this one!!

Excellent! It was exquisitely shot. The acting was pretty good and the old house at the beginning (despite really NOT being Meyers' House-esque at all) was SUPER Creepy. Regarding this story, it's a tad muddled, but it works as a fun pastiche of halloween mythos...so good job there I suppose. I was amused that the girl's original name was "Laurie Myers" with her adopted name being "Angie" (As in Angel). That was a very clever reversal of Laurie Strode/Angel Myers (from Zombie's continuity) and a neat way to throw the audience off before the reveal. Good job and Happy Halloween!!! (FOUR MORE DAYS :D :D :D)
Love this one! I think I like this one a little better than the The Night He Came Back Home which was good as well. The cinematography in both of these fan films were done very well. I wish I had the equipment and a good small cast to do one of these myself especially owning 7 movie quality authentic costumes. Speaking of which because of seeing other great fan vids but disappointed with the clash of seeing the actor walk in as the main character/protagonist with a mass produced costume mainly the mask. So like with this and the last fan video I had to skip to a scene showing Michael Myers to see if the costume was legit and authentic which both were. I especially like the mask in this video. It looks to be a Nightowl Creep but I could be mistaken.

Quality is AMAZING. Literally could see this in the theater and wouldn't know it's a fan film. How much was your camera?? I've worked with Canons, my favorite one to use is the 6D but I have the t5 so I use that the most.
this is next to flawless, the only problem I have is the same I have with everybody's perception of Michael Myers. "He's evil incarnate", "boogeyman", "supernatural" , why couldn't he break down a door, that just last week my son barreled into and came off the frame, I love everything about this believe me, but one thing the RZ Halloweens did was portray Michaels almost Meta God Raw Power and Bruatality, 9.2/10.0

was really good even scary at times, capturing the same mood and vibe of the first 2 halloweens but the extremely dumb choices that JLC made back in the day like turning her back to myers and never looking back at him to make sure he is in fact dead like any normal frightened person would do does not work anymore, could kinda get away with it back than n still was very frustrating to see, but now doing that it def brings the film down quite a bit for me

Wow! I'll have to find some similar gear. As a filmmaker myself this blew me away. I have never seen such quality in a fan film...really seemed like a professional production. And the acting was excellent. Very nice interpretation of the film series.

1) just HOW did the Myers old house go from being in a residential area to an outlying rural area? makes as much sense as finding Michael's childhood home situated in a city of skyscrapers or in the Land of Oz! the KEY WORD here is CONTINUITY people. do your research beforehand! 2) such intriguing & complicated lyrics to the song sung by that live band, wowee. 3) great scene done well: [knock knock on the door] the girl slowly prys open the door and guess what? tis The Bogeyman, ha-ha! 4) Michael always finds his choice weapon in the kitchen, yassir. 5) first girl ends up walking ALONE on a deserted city street instead of trying to summon police help and proceeding to someplace a helluva safer than the streets. 6) the second (blonde) gal finds her boyfriend comically slain in her bed, tries going downstairs only to find Myers ascending the same and returns to her bedroom locking the door behind her. suddenly, The Shape's hand bursts through the door (DAMAGING IT) and enters but, amazingly enough, the door is UNdamaged! again, continuity, folks. 7) the third girlie is dispatched by Myers quite nice in keeping with his fab M.O. -- right from the back. 8) the second unit exterior and interior shots are done quite well showing where Michael is not! 9) DUMB: Angie Baby discovers her little friend laid out dead on her bed when Michael confronts her and she quickly gets in the first stab, but then DROPS the knife -- her only means of defense -- and, instead of rapidly escaping that death house, just hangs around weeping like a helpless femme.... while The Shape fastly revives behind her. way to go, Angie! 10) the blonde gal shows up (not quite dead YET!) and helps by stabbing Michael in the neck, and afterwards tells the dunderheaded intended main victim to call 911 -- GET HELP DUMMY, I'm bleeding out over here! 11) the ending scene is executed most formulaic as the hapless Angie Baby, apparently after phoning for the police, goes back into her bedroom to d-i-s-c-o-v-e-r.... that her Blonde friend is finally laying dead on the floor and The Shape has revived yet again only to disappear completely with 2nd unit exterior scenes added (as in the original 1978 Halloween movie) to make viewers wonder just where has dat ole Myers boy gone to? 12) in a twist to the already seen ending panned from John Carpenter's franchise film entry, the movie RESUMES with Little Miss Hapless Lassie confronting Michael again in her home and she is ready teddy to shoot up his gizzard with a handy revolver a-la-Ripley style, whoa! 13) query: there were NO adults apparently seen in this movie or even in the week-later epilogue. kinda makes one ask: where did all the parents and older folk go? maybe they all left town too scared to stay over for another H-A-L-O-W-E-E-N??? only The Boogens knows the answer to that one! 13) the music beds and soundtrack are all done with excellence keeping good track with the changing scenes and moods of the flick. good going, folks!

"Sign has inverted nines." what seems like fantasy horror is actually real. I used to love the Misfits and Danzig. Venom and Slayer. I don't know if the demons came through by that or were there before. But the nightmare is real. Jesus is Lord, He is the only way to eternal life. Otherwise you are rejecting Him and choosing an eternity of demons and fire.
There was no one with Judas her boyfriend was wham bam thank you ma'am out the door and then Michael got the knife in the kitchen came up the stairs and killed his sister. I hate fan films and try to create their own mythology when something is already Canon.

Thanks! We just used the Osmo with the Inspire 1 x5R camera and a glide cam with the c-100. No dollies or anything.
