I’ve been a customer of dish network since 2006. They’ve come a long way. I had the sling box usb attachment, it worked well back then. My son is currently in the military & uses the dish anywhere app & it works perfectly fine. Dish network always has been on the forefront of technology. True statement. I use the hopper 3 in the living room and the 4K Joey in the bedroom. Both work awesome!

We were forced to upgrade our receiver from DISH. But I do not know what a "SLING" is... what does it do? Also..what is the HOPPER....and the Joey? And I can NOT SEE the remote keys!! A light will come on for about 2 seconds, then goes out. It has a mic. key... but what does that do? And the t.v. guide is altogether different from the old one we had. I had to have the screen magnified so I could read it! Also the TEXT magnified, so I could read it. I am having big problems with HOW to delete programs that were recorded. I don't know how to access RUclips app. Or Netflix app. Hardly anything was explained to me when it was installed 3 days ago. Is there any video that will show me now to do the things I mentioned? Please, help.

The best thing you can do is watch channel 103 it goes through everything and will help you. Hopper is the main box and Joey's are the bedroom boxes. Sling allows you to watch your dish dvr or live TV from any mobile device anywhere that has online. Press the options button then press the 7 here you can turn on magnifation. The voice button is a built in Google assistant that can control you smart home items answer questions weather and find and record your shows . However as of now the feature is still locked on the 4k Joey. I have hope it will come with a software update in the future? Jb TechFanatic my current setup, I have 2 hopper with slings, so 2 people can use dish anywhere at same time now anyway, but not wanting to give up picture in picture in the bedroom, watch sports there too...
If you have a strong fast internet connection at home to your hopper 3 you should have no issues with multiple users. For the other rooms look into to new Joey 3. It actually now looks exactly like the 4k Joey just lower specs..They might already have the pip activated. I think it's the 4k holding it back. Due to size it doesn't have the specs the hopper 3 to pull 2 4k pictures off yet. Now you can always just run 2 hopper 3 just have to pay the extra cost. But might be worth it for you so you get the experience you want😉
I have been thinking about upgrading my Dish forever but I always pump the breaks when it seems like there are a ton of extra fees that they just don't want to add up when I talk to them on the phone. Can you tell me what your final bill is a month, and how many TV's, package size, and movie channels you have while using this hopper?

I hope you will consider subscribing help support my growing channel😉 Dish is my opinion one of the fairest companies when it comes to it a customer's. That in no way means that they don't have fees lol. What I have found about dish is the longer you stay with them they will not let you leave. meaning they will continue to take care of you and do whatever it takes with your bill to keep you. they actually care care about your service as long as you pay your bill on time every month you are valuable asset to them. I'm telling you this for a reason here's why the first year that you sign up with the company your bill is going to be incredibly cheap probably around $67 and you'll have every movie channel and all the stuff you could ever want and up to three TVs. But after that it will go up let's just say you have the America's everything package because that will be the most expensive. Your bill would jump to about 150 and then you can call and get it to sit about 109. Keep in mind that would be with everything. To answer your question my bill comes to $97 a month but now I have the America's everything package and 7 total TVs including all 4K equipment this is extremely expensive but would cost someone in the 200 a month or more. dish continuously discounts my bill for me every time it ends. because I've been a customer with them for ever lol. I always had a limit on home internet or they charge extra. Ya it's 1,000 GIG I think you can have you tube running 24 hours a day and not reach that limit. SO WHAT IS THE AMOUNT YOU CAN GO UP TO??????
I'm sure 1tb of data is enough for some. I had to sign up for unlimited access. When i did this video a few years ago it was not available. My average usage in my home at this point is a staggering 2.5tb a month. If any of my family downloads a few games it gets even more. I'm really into tech so I have lots of item's that are connected in my home. So that also makes our usage really high. What's annoying is my internet bill is 200 a month and thats only internet (gig speed unlimited). But i do use a few different streaming services and still have dish. OK that's not unreasonable for a 1 TB cap with your other plan I was just wondering because you never mentioned it and I was curious. If you use more you would have to figure something else out I get that. I pay 60 a month 50 MPS never had to wait for something to load so thats plenty for me and never went past the 1TB for now, haha. I guess gamers were having a hard time with the data cap issue so most companies actually bunped it up to 1 TB and as software gets more complicated and better resolution we will all be in that predicament again, it's not if but when. I wouldn't doubt if average usage 10 years from now it 10 TB a month.
Yeah what happened was i never had any cap and they never even told us on our bill what we used. So for home internet I never even thought about data to be honest with you. Then all of a sudden I get a $500 bill. At that point they changed it to 500 gigs. They also had no unlimited plan available and did not let you purchase extra data they just charged you over fees at each 50 gig block . Eventually they upped it to 1tb an added unlimited plan to buy. or even just the ability to buy 500 gigs more for thirty bucks. But if you don't do that they will still charge you like before for each 50 gig block overage. I assumed they had a lot of complaints. I know I wasn't happy. But I'm pretty much use to it now. I just keep the unlimited to not worry about it. If your into networking. jb, Thanks for the quick response. I've been a Dish subscriber for years. I still have a 722 receiver and want to upgrade to the Hopper 3 with Sling. Do I need to change my LNB if I don't care about 4k reception. I haven't talk with Dish yet about an upgrade.
+sail1942 no problem at all. Oh yeah time for a upgrade. Call dish listen to all the options and wait till you hear an option that says disconnection or change service. At this point you will be transferred to Advanced customer support. Tell them that you've been a customer for a long time they will know haha. but every time you go to the store like Sam's club etc DirecTV's there and they have all these deals. Fyi This is a true fact. Make it clear you don't want to leave dish but you need or want better programming and equipment. As long as you're in good standing with them meaning you pay your bill on time lol they are amazing about keeping their customers happy. Obviously I don't know how many TVs you have. But for the bedrooms you would want the 4K Joey's and for your main TV the Hopper with sling. If you've been with dish for 6 plus years they should be able to give you 9 to 12 months of up to $40 off your bill a month. A couple free premium channels for 3 to 6 months and even netfilx for a year. They also should be able to give you a new dish and all new equipment for free installed you should have to pay $0. Obviously be nice tell them you don't want to leave but would love a promotion with dish instead of direct TV. You will sign into 2-year contract but honestly it doesn't matter. I've been with dish for like 10 years and never left anyway and if they give you all of those deals you'll be more than happy. And if you talk to the right person again you need the retention department not just a regular salesperson you have to listen to the prompts closely. They do this for me every year and a half my friends and family this is a great company and wants to keep you people just don't know how to ask or who to ask but trust me just make the call cell take care of you if you do it exactly the way I said. You have no other option but go digital everything will be digital we in here in 2020 and cost will be a big factor for a lot of people with different companies and it I feeling like we're being controlled by their Network and paying high prices for it.

It started extremely cheap and continues to just keep going up and will not stop. Biggest problem is every one wants they're own streaming services so it a lose lose for us. To get all the programming you want you need multiple services. Content owner will no longer provide cross-platform use when they have their own streaming service forcing you to buy every one of them if you want to watch everything. A Long with the high cost with high-speed internet and the equipment to actually support watching multiple televisions. I spend 160 a month just for Internet and I've spent $1,000 on my equipment to be able to support 4K multiple televisions tablets phones at the same time. the cost will continue to go up and up for digital content especially if they don't have competition like DirecTV and Dish Network where you can get everything you want in one place. but if you were to sign up for an actual TV service through Hulu or youtube and you had Netflix and some others the price in some cases is higher now on digital than it is for Dish and digital just getting started analysts predict it will be double the cost in the next couple years if not more. Just like when Redbox came out gave us the Dollar Rental put everyone out of business and then skyrocketed the price they are now more expensive than Blockbuster video ever was but they deleted all the competition. I have all the streaming services along with Dish Network and I can honestly say it cost me more for my streaming services than it does for my dish. HBO plus Netflix 4K, Disney Plus, Hulu cost is outrageous and goes up every year. Dish has come out with new packages where you can pick the content you want to watch only and happy very low Bill my mother-in-law's Dish Bill is $45. I've been with dish for a very long time so I get great deals but I have every channel available and it's $97 what's 6 televisions all 4K boxes. I definitely understand what you're saying if a person just has Netflix and they only use one device made pay for slower internet the cost will only be roughly 35 bucks a month if you consider the internet usage Factor along with Netflix. I definitely see digital taking over because everybody thinks it's better now I just fear that we're going to make a big mistake as we already have by putting all of retail out of business just for online to start selling stuff that we want for more than they used to and all the other stuff garbage that doesn't last a month lol😉🤷♂️
Lol red box is a Blu-ray & games rental service and streaming service owed by McDonald's corporation. They place them outside and in Walmart Walgreens and different stores.
When the first came out they were the nail in the coffin for video stores. 99cents to rent everything. And convenient because they were at locations that are visited often. soon after that is when McDonald's stepped in purchased the company and took it to the next level obviously streaming has gotten massive now in turn made them start their own service. I paid 6 bucks when I signed up now i pay 22 lol but what makes its worse not only did my internet price double due to faster speed but because my kids stream so much 4k Netflix i had to pay an additional 60 a month to have unlimited internet for my how internet data used. so when i factor in our hulu Disney plus espn plus Netflix and HBO max its insanely expensive 😳

I always had a limit on home internet or they charge extra. Ya it's 1,000 GIG I think you can have you tube running 24 hours a day and not reach that limit. SO WHAT IS THE AMOUNT YOU CAN GO UP TO??????
I'm sure 1tb of data is enough for some. I had to sign up for unlimited access. When i did this video a few years ago it was not available. My average usage in my home at this point is a staggering 2.5tb a month. If any of my family downloads a few games it gets even more. I'm really into tech so I have lots of item's that are connected in my home. So that also makes our usage really high. What's annoying is my internet bill is 200 a month and thats only internet (gig speed unlimited). But i do use a few different streaming services and still have dish. 1tb is the cap when you pay for unlimited no cap is given.
OK that's not unreasonable for a 1 TB cap with your other plan I was just wondering because you never mentioned it and I was curious. If you use more you would have to figure something else out I get that. I pay 60 a month 50 MPS never had to wait for something to load so thats plenty for me and never went past the 1TB for now, haha. I guess gamers were having a hard time with the data cap issue so most companies actually bunped it up to 1 TB and as software gets more complicated and better resolution we will all be in that predicament again, it's not if but when. I wouldn't doubt if average usage 10 years from now it 10 TB a month.
Yeah what happened was i never had any cap and they never even told us on our bill what we used. So for home internet I never even thought about data to be honest with you. Then all of a sudden I get a $500 bill. At that point they changed it to 500 gigs. They also had no unlimited plan available and did not let you purchase extra data they just charged you over fees at each 50 gig block . Eventually they upped it to 1tb an added unlimited plan to buy. or even just the ability to buy 500 gigs more for thirty bucks. But if you don't do that they will still charge you like before for each 50 gig block overage. I assumed they had a lot of complaints. I know I wasn't happy. But I'm pretty much use to it now. Unfortunately no It can only work with a dish😊 you might call dish and ask if they uave their own iptv box though to be sure.

So they did display the Olympics in 4k and it was spectacular. I believe they will be doing the same for the next Olympics coming up. they also have 4K Netflix and some other 4K programming that you can rent. but so far no football or basketball or baseball I did see some soccer. but I've heard rumors that the Super Bowl will be in 4k. Having said that this box produces a far crisper picture when it comes to Everyday programming. very noticeable I'm extremely satisfied with dish plain and simple great customer service and products. jb, Thanks for the quick response. I've been a Dish subscriber for years. I still have a 722 receiver and want to upgrade to the Hopper 3 with Sling. Do I need to change my LNB if I don't care about 4k reception. I haven't talk with Dish yet about an upgrade.
+sail1942 no problem at all. Oh yeah time for a upgrade. Call dish listen to all the options and wait till you hear an option that says disconnection or change service. At this point you will be transferred to Advanced customer support. Tell them that you've been a customer for a long time they will know haha. but every time you go to the store like Sam's club etc DirecTV's there and they have all these deals. Fyi This is a true fact. Make it clear you don't want to leave dish but you need or want better programming and equipment. As long as you're in good standing with them meaning you pay your bill on time lol they are amazing about keeping their customers happy. Obviously I don't know how many TVs you have. But for the bedrooms you would want the 4K Joey's and for your main TV the Hopper with sling. If you've been with dish for 6 plus years they should be able to give you 9 to 12 months of up to $40 off your bill a month. A couple free premium channels for 3 to 6 months and even netfilx for a year. They also should be able to give you a new dish and all new equipment for free installed you should have to pay $0. Obviously be nice tell them you don't want to leave but would love a promotion with dish instead of direct TV. You will sign into 2-year contract but honestly it doesn't matter. I've been with dish for like 10 years and never left anyway and if they give you all of those deals you'll be more than happy. And if you talk to the right person again you need the retention department not just a regular salesperson you have to listen to the prompts closely. They do this for me every year and a half my friends and family this is a great company and wants to keep you people just don't know how to ask or who to ask but trust me just make the call cell take care of you if you do it exactly the way I said. You have no other option but go digital everything will be digital we in here in 2020 and cost will be a big factor for a lot of people with different companies and it I feeling like we're being controlled by their Network and paying high prices for it.

Its interesting because cost for digital is out of control. It started extremely cheap and continues to just keep going up and will not stop. Biggest problem is every one wants they're own streaming services so it a lose lose for us. To get all the programming you want you need multiple services. Content owner will no longer provide cross-platform use when they have their own streaming service forcing you to buy every one of them if you want to watch everything. A Long with the high cost with high-speed internet and the equipment to actually support watching multiple televisions. I spend 160 a month just for Internet and I've spent $1,000 on my equipment to be able to support 4K multiple televisions tablets phones at the same time. the cost will continue to go up and up for digital content especially if they don't have competition like DirecTV and Dish Network where you can get everything you want in one place. but if you were to sign up for an actual TV service through Hulu or youtube and you had Netflix and some others the price in some cases is higher now on digital than it is for Dish and digital just getting started analysts predict it will be double the cost in the next couple years if not more. Just like when Redbox came out gave us the Dollar Rental put everyone out of business and then skyrocketed the price they are now more expensive than Blockbuster video ever was but they deleted all the competition. I have all the streaming services along with Dish Network and I can honestly say it cost me more for my streaming services than it does for my dish. HBO plus Netflix 4K, Disney Plus, Hulu cost is outrageous and goes up every year. Dish has come out with new packages where you can pick the content you want to watch only and happy very low Bill my mother-in-law's Dish Bill is $45. I've been with dish for a very long time so I get great deals but I have every channel available and it's $97 what's 6 televisions all 4K boxes. I definitely understand what you're saying if a person just has Netflix and they only use one device made pay for slower internet the cost will only be roughly 35 bucks a month if you consider the internet usage Factor along with Netflix. I definitely see digital taking over because everybody thinks it's better now I just fear that we're going to make a big mistake as we already have by putting all of retail out of business just for online to start selling stuff that we want for more than they used to and all the other stuff garbage that doesn't last a month lol😉🤷♂️

When the first came out they were the nail in the coffin for video stores. 99cents to rent everything. And convenient because they were at locations that are visited often. soon after that is when McDonald's stepped in purchased the company and took it to the next level obviously streaming has gotten massive now in turn made them start their own service. I paid 6 bucks when I signed up now i pay 22 lol but what makes its worse not only did my internet price double due to faster speed but because my kids stream so much 4k Netflix i had to pay an additional 60 a month to have unlimited internet for my how internet data used. so when i factor in our hulu Disney plus espn plus Netflix and HBO max its insanely expensive 😳
