    Glad to see you do another video on the second Spyro game, Rebel! Autumn Plains is my favorite home world from that game!
    I put two more playlists on your previous video comments - PlayStation Interactive CD Sampler and a few others. Did you get them at all?
    Great way to start this video off with Moneybags, Rebel! All three Spyro games are amazing!

    My favorite level name in Winter Tundra is Cloud Temples - such a unique level and name. Especially when Professor states: “My high-tech portal here will take you to Cloud Temples.” I always get excited when he says that majestically.
    One thing to mention: Tom Kenny and Gregg Berger reprised their respective roles:
    -Tom Kenny (Spyro, Professor, and Sgt. Byrd)
    -Gregg Berger as Ripto
    That was a nice touch they did!

    Great video once again! I’m really excited to see what your favourite levels of this game are! Personally the homeworlds in this game are my favourite of all the games they just feel like the best place ever to live and Stewart Copeland’s music adds to the feeling of calm and happiness. Autumn Plains is probably my favourite level in the game even if it isn’t actually a proper level.

      Thanks! Yeah the home worlds are the best in this game! Maybe not Winter Tundra. But yeah Autumn Plains is the best hub in the whole original trilogy. Hands down. Those hidden orbs are great.

    17:34 = I always play the Reignited Trilogy with Stewart Copeland’s original music 😉⭐️⭐️
    His score is what made the Spyro trilogy unique.
    When I first started the Reignited Trilogy, I switched to the original music immediately. You can count on it, Rebel! 😉⭐️⭐️👌
    Thank you Rebel 😉

    I will admit I was also a bit confused as to why the 4 Winter Tundra levels didn’t have a talisman and only the Summer Forest and Autumn Plains levels do. Elora does say to Spyro that there are 14 talismans in Avalar, and that after collecting all 14 of them to defeat Gulp, there’s none after that. I wonder why it’s like that too, Rebel
    One thing I will say is that they’ve improved Dragon Shores in Reignited Trilogy by adding lots of variety and designs to it, making it more lively. I loved how they added more designs to the rollercoaster.

    This is my theory on orb/talisman changeup in winter tundra: in summer forest and autumn plains, to open the castle doors (where ripto is) you need the magic of the talismans from the levels. But in winter tundra it is only the orbs magic you need. Winter tundra is a lot smaller hub world so perhaps these worlds simply do not have a talisman. Or perhaps they are an evolved class of avalar citizens who have moved passed talismans. Being as cloud spires/mystic marsh and metropolis/robotica farms are connected worlds lol .The reasoning in the gameplay for the switch is simply to give more orbs to a player who doesn't have enough for ripto.

    Spyro 2 is probably my favorite of the original trilogy. I didn't care much about playing as the other characters in the third game, and I also felt it relied too much on mini-games.

    • @ScummyRebel
      @ScummyRebel  3 года назад +2

      I actually kinda enjoy Sgt Byrd and Agent 9. Sheila and Bentley move too slow. However I do feel like a few of the orbs are pretty ‘mini-game’y also. And I like how dragon eggs in 3 can be hidden in levels, whereas in 2 the only hidden orbs are in hubs. But idk they’re so good it’s hard for me to say which is my favorite. Was planning a video comparing and ranking the 3 games after I do Year of the Dragon.

      @@ScummyRebel Agent 9 was a nightmare to play in the original, as far as I remember. Just about all of the controls feel better in the reignited trilogy, especially Agent 9. All the games are great, though, and I can see why anyone would prefer each over the others.

    Probably my favorite spyro game if I could take out 1 thing it would be Moneybags or the annoying three part final boss I always die on the flight part or maybe I'm just bad. Regardless spyro Rr is a great game amazing vid Rebel.

    Man, I want so much a Spyro 4, but please, I don't want such as difficult as Crash 4, if they use Reignited Trilogy's graphics...
    It would be epic, because, if you look backwards, there's enough Crash Bandicoot for a while, and Spyro needs a new game, NOW.

    • @ScummyRebel
      @ScummyRebel  3 года назад

      I agree! Spyro 4 cannot come soon enough! But I don’t think it’ll be difficult like crash 4. Crash 4 WANTED to be challenging like crash 1 and some levels in crash 2. If Spyro 4 is difficult, I’d like it to be from not being able to figure out how to get to some secret platform for 10 minutes, as opposed to some unfair mini game.

    Spyro 2 when originally released back in 1999 felt like a major improvement over it’s predecessor for several reasons, such as new friends for Spyro other than dragons, 3 brand new abilities for Spyro, Tom Kenny’s debut as as Spyro’s new voice, extra cut scenes throughout the game, revisiting previous levels for bonus challenges and better, harder boss fights compared to the lame ones from Spyro 1. My only criticism is the final level Dragon Shores doesn’t have any gems 💎, dragons or orbs around to give this adventure more of a satisfying ending 😑

  • @matty_mather

    Don’t know why the lack of talismans in Winter Tundra always bothered me... and the lack of a Spring-themed home world... also the mini challenge elements of this game definitely take up too much of the levels. That aside, the levels are stunning, the characters are awesome and the overall experience is magic.
