But the factors I mentioned are the main similarities I have found in stable democracies around the world. Just imagine, Belgium holds the world record for „time without a government“, life still went on as usual, because there was no power struggle. As someone, who lives near Belgium, and who went there several times during that time, I didn’t even realize, that they were without a government. To me, that is something countries should aim for, have everyone feel good enough about their life and the whole system stable enough, that more than a year without government is not obvious. Nothing changed in the time, but nothing bad happened either. I think several democratic countries (including Germany and the future US government) are planning to start a „how to get a better democracy“ plan and actually use it in the USA and other countries.
