- Route Recce for Motul Tour of legends 2022. KZN South Africa. We got caught in a hectic storm. With rising rivers and very slippery conditions we had our work cut out getting to the nearest town before dark.
I love how KTM put the battery AT THE LOWEST POINT !
Lithium batteries were not common back then, so made sense to put 10 pounds of lead as low as possible.
That was a wet ride, poor guy going for a swim in the river sucks. Great video guys 👍🏻👍🏻

That was impressive. Well done, personally I wouldn't have even considered doing the river crossing ( I ride on my own usually). Out of curiosity, how do you rate the reliability of KTMs? I know a mechanic who doesn't ( as he says they have too many oil filters), but something within me says they're really good.....but a little bit quirky.
LC8s are very reliable

What tyres were you using...the guy with the orange headlamp seemed to struggle a bit, but was on less aggressive tyres!

Hey! As someone who has owned both the 990 and 890 rally, would you rather have the rally? I currently have an ‘05 950 adv and considering buying an 890 rally. Is the upgrade worth it?

The Rally is my favourite bike to ride by a country mile. It lacks the character and looks of the 990 and reliability is a concern

Guys... I was sooooooo into your clip that I managed to burn my dinner tonight including the pot I used which is now rendered unusable. I'm now too afraid to bring my 990 out of the garage seeing how dedicated you are. You guys are the best. All I can say is you have my attention. Go crazy before we go crazy because life's a movie. These 990 handle the hot so badly, the fan is always on
In technical terrain the use of clutch does heat up the engine a fair amount. Not a problem, fan manages the high temp well
