Matthew Lewis is a legend 🌱🍀🥰 I listen to his podcast 🏰 Gone Medieval 🏰 all the time. His conversational style of presenting is the most pleasant to listen to, I could listen to him for 10 solid hours and wouldn’t get a headache 😅
Agree!
thanks for that, did not know he did one... and found it.
Fun fact: Katherine Swynford's sister was Mrs. Geoffrey Chaucer.
Funny thing is, the Chaucers' descendants were Yorkist supporters. 🤣
Excellent episode, really fascinating and intriguing at the same time! A lot of what ifs? 😉 and Matthew Lewis, what a class act, a true walking Medieval/Tudor Oracle,....I could listen to him for hours 🤴👏🍷
Couldn't agree more!
Well, he had something, charm, personality, leadership..whatever. He came with something and a warrior.
Enjoyed this episode immensely!
Mathew Lewis!!!! Thank you very much!
Thank you for sharing all of this wonderful information! It was very interesting!
Glad you enjoyed it!
The name ‘Tudor’ belongs to a proud and honorable line of Welsh princes - it was NEVER used by the Lancastrian exile, Henry of Richmond, ie. Henry VII, nor his son Henry VIII nor his son, Edward VI, the last of the male Lancastrian kings. Nor was the name Tudor used by Mary I or her sister, Elizabeth until very late in her reign - why would they? It had no dynastic meaning nor legitimacy, not in 1485 nor in 1553 when the last Lancastrian king died without any heirs of his body. A brief, if bloody and destructive ‘dynasty’ .
So much to it. A lot to take in. Thank you.
Wonderful interview!!
Mortimer was removed in 1330 not 1327 🙂
I'm sure it was a minor mistake by the guest, if it's a mistake. Matt knows his stuff. I'm not familiar.
