During my 3 month stay in Bangkok two winters ago I kept choosing random parts of the city to visit and I have to say Ari was probably my favourite. I wandered down a road which seemed to be just for locals, it was manic, chaotic, smelly and absolutely heavenly. What a city Bangkok is.
Great Vlog as always my man So Ari seems very interesting I’ll definitely go and check it out . Thanks for taking us there . Keep pumping out your content mate .. Your quality is awesome and one of the best around . 🎉
Thanks for introducing another great area I can visit ! A bit like Harajuku in Tokyo. You are building a great library for a quintessence guide to Bangkok!
Thank you Helen! Please share my content if you can to help this channel grow.. I think a lot of the videos I make now will still be relevant in a few years time as well
I love hearing comments like this! I feel like I’m doing a good service to Bangkok when people get to see new places on my videos that are fun and interesting
Wow. I like your channel and your videos. Good recommendation and energy throughout. Ari is definitely a place that has distinguish vibe to other places in Bangkok. Thais people would think of Ari as they thinking of a cafe. 😁 👍🏻🙂
Thanks for watching Dann! It really does have a different vibe than anywhere else.. Hopefully find some more areas like this around the city soon to share
@@ProjectBangkok Yes. First thing I went to when I got to Bangkok. And the monks chased me out of the temple on the mount and locked the gate behind me. When I asked if I could use the toilet before I left they said NO. LOL. Bangkok travel stories.
When I first saw this building, I thought it looked like the Kherkin in London. The Ari neighborhood is far superior to Silom or Asoke, where the surroundings are more peaceful, but there are plenty of hip shops and restaurants throughout the area.
Im about to move from Asoke to Rama 9.. so im prob not the best to ask haha I have not looked at prices in other locations to be honest. links to transport are important to me doing this youtube thing
@@ProjectBangkok The condo I am in is only as I am about to leave getting better. After being here for nearly 3 weeks I can finally come onto the roof space on the 36th floor but the pool and gym are unusable. The big scary road if off-putting but Jodd Fairs being within spitting distance, Fortune Town and a Central Plaza (not as big as the original one) is useful. I am not sure about the authentic Thai experience. The MRT is close so that is handy. Not quite sure why Bangkok doesn't just have one method of payment for MRT and BTS, it is annoying when travelling.
@@ProjectBangkok For sure! Being selfish, would love to see some more condo tours from you . Planning on coming to Bangkok for a couple of months early next year.
Hi what is the closest airport to re please and also we are looking for a good condo that is 2 or 3 bedroom and close to everything because I have arthritis I would love some place close to eating malls in just everything in general thank you so much
I used to work there 6-7 years ago. Didn't know the area much around neighborhood since I worked at night in the bar just right across the yard hostel, named Mancave (that bar is gone by now) 😂 Btw good memory tho.
Love your videos Rob. Always informative and well produced. I’ve also noticed that in your last few videos you’ve adopted the annoying habit of Americans who say “Bangkok, Thailand.” There is ONLY one Bangkok in the world and we know exactly where you are! Maybe you’ve spent too much time with Serg?!
Hahahah it’s funny you say that as I’m say with him now 🤣 we do it because RUclips knows exactly what we say word for word and will pick up on key words.. so it helps my video get discovered. Its a necessary evil unfortunately. If you ever get time to share my videos then that’s the most I could ask from people 🙏 Thanks for the kind feedback Simon I appreciate it
Thanks for explanation. Much appreciated. Please tell Serg I’m a big fan of his videos too, even though he keeps going to visit places that are closed!
Please SHARE this video and get this channel rolling!
I'll be staying in Ari in a few days! Can't wait for a cafe hopping 😅

Ari is lovely.. I would love to get a tour from someone who’s more local to the area
@@ProjectBangkok I have a lady friend who is Thai and lives not far from Ari. I wonder if I could get her to meet up with you.

Will be staying in Ari for a month later in the year, cannot wait. Thanks for the video.
I find your videos super useful good work ❤👏🏻
Bird is called the Asian Koel, great when one is up and about and you’ll wanna die if it’s 7am and it just won’t stop! 😂
I could deal with 7.. it’s the 5am ones that really get me 😂
Very Interesting Area. Thank you for showing 👍
Your welcome Uwe
man i can't wait to visit bangkok! thank you for this video
Any time! Your welcome 🙏
Beautiful Thailand 🌴🌴🌴
Hadn't heard about this area until your video, but it looks like there's so much to do here!

Each of your videos is providing me with a place to go. CHEERS!
Happy to hear! Have you gone to Mahanakon yet?

I wanna go check out that death cafe. Looks crazy!
Dare you to get in the coffin when you get there

I wouldn’t say it’s superior but just different… neither is better or worth than the other. I do really like it though.. can’t wait to go back
Any suggestions on places to live I am moving from Pra Ram 9. I am looking for a more reasonably priced condo month to month.

That building reminds me of the The Gherkin in London
LOL and then later in the video you say the same thing :D
It’s almost a copy haha they do what they want here 🤣

Great vid my man, some know it as the uwu bird, but few know its called the koel, love that sound😀
It just made me smile as soon as I heard it!

Oh nice! Does it look the same from the video? It was my first time there.. so many places in Bangkok I have never set foot in
@@ProjectBangkok yeah, very same. Just more parking cars along the soi I guess lol
I’m getting too old and grumpy to stay in a hostel. But I like the hipster cafés
Just a bit of feedback the sounds rock on my 5.1 surround sound bro and the video quality is 5 star on my 56 inch Samsung TV...😎🙏
Always appreciate the feedback my friend.. good or bad 👌🏻
I used to live in Soi Ari for six months.
That bird sounds like an Asian Koel. On this wiki it's the last recording (3rd or 3) - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asian_koel
Nice one Erik! I love the noise! Apart from when they wake you up stupid early on a holiday that is lol

Your new home?
Nope.. I’ll be covering that soon though haha
